    Do I have this right?

    Posted: 09 Apr 2018 05:51 PM PDT

I'm trying to understand the difference between BTC and BCH and I think I've figured out one of the main differences but I want to be sure.

Basically BTC had limits in the amount of transactions that could take place because of the size of the blockchain. This was solved using something called Segmented Witness 2x (SegWit2x) which allowed a transaction to take place without the full information normally used on the blockchain.

This however seems to involve a transaction fee that wasn't intended in the original vision of bitcoin. Is this true? And does bitcoin cash not have this same inherent need for a transaction fee?

And for bonus points who is collecting these fees if I'm right about this?

    Thanks!
