Posted: 24 Apr 2018 05:41 AM PDT Calling all ghetto miners - I need your experience. I've got a smalltime rig with a few cards I've cobbled together when they are cheap, running in an old Dell Precision tower with Xeon processors, 4 PCIe slots, but no on-board video. Right now, I have a GTX650 that I use exclusively for video, but I will be swapping it out for a 1070ti that I just picked up. This leaves me in a bit of a pickle. I will have a 1060 6GB, a 1070, a 1070ti, and a 1080, and I need to pick one to run my video with. In an ideal world, I would just buy a new mobo and processor that has on-board video, but I'm just not there yet. I know it's not that much money; I knoooow I know I know. I'm just not there yet. Any suggestions? Which one of these cards will be able to handle video the best with the least impact on mining performance? Right now I'm leaning towards the 1060, but I have nothing to really base that on. Has anybody done this before, and what were your results? [link] [comments]
Q: Is there any significant disadvantage to using an older version of Claymore Dual Miner? Posted: 24 Apr 2018 12:52 AM PDT Am a mediocre miner here. The decision to use an older version Claymore Miner(v8.1) is so I could get 30mh for my cards, but not so with the latest versions(unless I'm missing something). Am wondering the question for the longest time. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Apr 2018 09:34 PM PDT i wanted to start a rig a couple months ago, but from what i gathered at that point the price of gpu cards were way too high, and the price of crypto was crashing so i was wondering, if you had the ability to predict the future of course what price point for gpu's would you wait for? or would you just bite the bullet and buy them now [link] [comments]
Lyra2rev2 mining with Excavator? Posted: 24 Apr 2018 12:41 AM PDT Is there guys a simple way to pool mine Lyra2rev2 with Excavator without going through Nicehash? The reason for that motivation is that I get higher hashrates with Excavator than with Ccminer. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Apr 2018 10:38 PM PDT Edit: I should mention that I'm asking because I'm making the move to 220v in the US and there are no smart plugs made to code. [link] [comments]

Serious question about powering risers safely. Posted: 23 Apr 2018 06:59 PM PDT Suppose I have a 1080 ti on a riser that is powered by Sata (I know, I know... just read the rest please). If I use MSI Afterburner to set the power limit to 80%, would this bring peak power down from 64 to 51, making it theoretically safe? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:37 PM PDT The site says that it does not give warranty for who mines
but how would they find out that the graphics card was used for mining? usually who's mine leaves it on 24/7 with underclock on the GPU [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Apr 2018 03:31 PM PDT I'm considering setting up a mining system from my two gtx 760s I have lying about, and was just wondering if people here feel this is worthwhile. Not really up to date on possible hash-rates so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks [link] [comments]
Mining Pool With Advanced API? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 10:40 AM PDT Hi! I am looking for a mining pool that lets me retrieve the balances (shares) of my users as well as modify them through an API. I have found those open source mining pools: But none of them seem to have the ability to retrieve and modify user funds through the API. I am looking for this because I have a bunch of users that earn external rewards through a web service and I could let them run a miner which lets them earn virtual credits on my website. So I don't want to reward them with cryptocurrency but with virtual credits which can be used on my website. Does anyone know if there exists an open source implementation or a service (much like CoinHive but not browser based, results are too bad) that would enable me to do that? [link] [comments]
