Monero difficulty 34% after the fork. Posted: 07 Apr 2018 11:21 PM PDT Full disclosure: I run monero.gt pool. I've been lurking around this sub ever since XMR diff went up like crazy, I figured now that network is very low yet price hasn't quite changed, Monero may be an option for you guys. Check those mining calculators, and please, give us a shot! [link] [comments]

is a peak of 1130w on a 1200w evga p2 psu ok 94% power usage Posted: 08 Apr 2018 03:01 AM PDT hi i've just added a 7th card to my rig i have an evga 1200w p2 platinum psu. when just mining eth its fine at about 890w. however when i dual mine it's pulling at a manimum peak 1130w which is about 94% of the maximum power. i could reduce the intensity of the dual coin and reduce this a bit. but i was just wondering if its safe to run the psu at that load. anyone got any advice? thanks in advance [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:48 PM PDT Since there's a lot of people trying to get out now that crypto has seen some bad months, what's people's experience browsing Craiglist, if any, to see what people are trying to cash out on there rigs? I'll toss out three to get this started. I'm only going to list GPUs/other notable specs of interest. The rest of the hardware is what you'd expect a rig would have. Rig 1
Rig 2
Rig 3

Sharp increase in Equihash difficulty? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:47 AM PDT Anyone else notice this over the last week or so? I'm presuming it has to do with people disbursing from Ethereum but that's just a guess. Curious to get others' theories on this. Maybe they've cracked the code for Equihash and there are ASICs mining in secret? [link] [comments]

KuСoin. Crouching Token, Hidden Team Posted: 07 Apr 2018 11:40 AM PDT The classic way to cheat a cryptoinvestor is to launch a scam ICO, collect the cash and get the hell out of Dodge. But there are a couple more perfectly viable options: making shitty forks and talking out of your arse to anyone that will listen about the fact that your startup has raised tons of money, so that the masses will buy your shitty tokens. Both of these schemes require high-quality support from cryptocurrency media and loyal exchanges. You buy a couple of nice articles, put your shitcoin on an exchange and then start the pump. The exchange rate grows like Jack's beanstalk, so the lemmings fall for it and squander their BTC and ETH. Then after a suitable amount of time, they start tearing their hair out, smash their laptops against their 50-inch plasmas, go on a bender, leave their family and generally go off the rails. Pumps/dumps and other financial pyramids are nothing new – they're as old as the hills and always find a willing customer. But we are adamantly opposed to any fraud involving blockchain. It really is a breakthrough technology that is capable of changing the world for the better. Piggybacking on its reputation and passing cons off as blockchain startups is the eighth deadly sin. And we're going to fight it like John Doe. Anyway, we recently wrote some stuff about Revain's pumps. Our attention was drawn to the KuCoin exchange. It was the venue for the Russian scam's manipulations and its promotions that gave away Lamborghinis and bitcoins for the biggest investments. Look at the trading volume. Then you can have another look at our first research on Revain. Now it's quite possible you're thinking that the world is exclusively populated by idiots. How to stop ASIC mining from controlling the network Posted: 07 Apr 2018 04:15 PM PDT
Posted: 07 Apr 2018 12:12 PM PDT Lately I've been throwing some hash at newly released coins such as elliotcoin, eden, snowgem, etc. One thing that worries me with these wallets and even mining programs is malware. Just wondering how big of a threat it actually is and whether people are taking precautions such as running a VM, booting from a thumb drive, or something similiar to manage wallets. I've had defender alert several times for trojans (nevermore miner and a couple of wallets) but from searching it seems to be a false flag, it still kind of worries me though. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Apr 2018 02:53 PM PDT Luckily i have a couple gtx 1060 6gb rigs but i built a 1060 3gb setup for my stepdad awhile back and hes just been mining equihash with it. The dag size is only 2.4 for ethereum. I know it wont mine on windows but i have his running ethos and i tried setting him up to mine ethereum with no luck. Are any of you mining ethereum on a 3gb setup? [link] [comments]
OpenCL error -4 (0) - cannot create DAG on GPU Posted: 07 Apr 2018 02:11 PM PDT I'm getting "OpenCL error -4 (0) - cannot create DAG on GPU" on startup of Claymore 11.6, did on 11.5 also, mining Ethereum. My rig is new and I can mine with 7 cards without error, for days. But, I add in the 8th GPU I get this error on startup of Claymore. It's not a single GPU either. It will happen to all of them randomly as the miner restarts. Rig specs: Windows 10 ASUS Prime Z270-A MB with Intel Celeron CPU 4 GB of RAM, DDR4-2400, with a 20GB swap file Two EVGA 850w gold PSU's linked together Eight RX-580 8GB GPU's; 5 MSI Gaming, 1 Sapphire Nitro+, 1 Gigabyte Aorus, 1 XFX All the cards have been modded using the one click method and are over clocked, but I still get the error resetting the over clocking to defaults. Using AMD Adrenalin-Edition-18.3.2-March 12 drivers and all the cards are set to compute. The hash rate of the cards range from 29-31 MH/s and as I said, run stable with 7 of them. What I have tried, but it hasn't helped... Verified the environment variables are set for Claymore Adjusted the Claymore settings to include -gser and -lidag Verified the mobo BIOS is configured for 8 GPU's Re-arranged my power connections for the risers and GPU's, got off of SATA power cables. That's everything I can think to put in this request for assistance. Let me know if there's any more information I can provide. Thanks in advanced for your help! bot [link] [comments]
Chart of daily Eth earnings for last 30 days Posted: 07 Apr 2018 12:31 PM PDT Is there any graphs/stats on daily ether earning for last 30 days? I mine for a friend with 100 MH/s and I transfer monthly payout to him. I wanted to see how much 100 MH/s would have accumulated every day for last 30 days and trying to keep it as close to being fair. I use nanopool but I cant use my hashrate as I have had downtime on my rigs that I dont want to subtract from him. [link] [comments] |
