ETH ASIC Miner Addresses Analysis Posted: 31 Mar 2018 03:35 PM PDT Hi there, I wrote a script to track ASIC miners using public information and eth.sparkpool.com API. Here are what I have found so far. These users seem to be on ASIC. All of their machine are running at 500 MH/s. They started mining from 26th March. https://eth.sparkpool.com/#/miner?99e48facf1e2350ab6d74e77dc3a104f2dfb0d26 https://image.ibb.co/kEogUn/Screen_Shot_2018_04_01_at_4_41_19_am.png https://eth.sparkpool.com/#/miner?0x8e3bd6f4efbfc1e6d6c09aaea5bc3939c74fe7e2 https://image.ibb.co/d5J9FS/Screen_Shot_2018_04_01_at_3_05_46_am.png https://eth.sparkpool.com/#/miner?00796fb766efce05358bceaf097b177abf453152 https://image.ibb.co/hKnapn/Screen_Shot_2018_04_01_at_3_33_32_am.png https://eth.sparkpool.com/#/miner?9b17ec0be906997f0a8c0ec990870f12ba970981 https://image.ibb.co/d7nmvS/Screen_Shot_2018_04_01_at_4_01_34_am.png Another interesting thing from the above links is that the miners are named in sequence - 0034 to 0078. Other than that I wasn't able to find anyone with 500 MH/s miners. Also I wasn't able to find the Taiwanese miner whom claimed to be using Bitmain F3. (finding with his miner username and hashrate) on sparkpool which is the same as ethfans.org. https://imgur.com/gallery/pUS2r It seems to be fake. Let me know what you guys think! I will continue to run my script and then update later. Cheers. [link] [comments]

Is the glory days of GPUmining behind us? Posted: 01 Apr 2018 07:00 AM PDT I am asking this question as a result of my desktop computer(I do not own any real mining rigs) with it`s 2x 1070 cards have been averaging about 2$ a day using awesomeminer on multiple pools for the last weeks. When I first started mining it would often generate 5-6$ a day. Now I never see numbers like that no more. To me GPUmining just doesn't look very profitable these days. What are your thoughts? How low are people running their 1060/1089 cards? Posted: 01 Apr 2018 05:00 AM PDT With the current "slight" drop in coin values I need to really focus on tuning my rig. Running 1x 1080ti & 2x 1060 3gb. (Sold off my HD7950 space heaters a few weeks back, timed that well!) [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 09:12 PM PDT https://imgur.com/user/thebdv/submitted Just wanted to share! Been following this sub-Reddit for sometime so shoutout to everyone for sharing their experience. It's amazing how much information is found on Reddit and certainly helped make this a smooth process for me. I know I might never make back the money in this market, but it has certainly been a ton of fun, albeit an expensive hobby. It feels like Legos and there's a great sense of achievement to see the finished product. I haven't built a PC in over 10 years so it's also been very nostalgic. Plus, I've learned more about wattage, amps, and gauges than I ever thought I'd know. The wiring has certainly been the most challenging part for me and it's surprisingly difficult to find the ratings for cables (e.g. how many watts can an 8pin to 6+2 pin pull?). Some background: I had initially ordered all my parts on January 1 (started researching in October and wanted to buy in November, but decided to wait so I can deduct expenses against 2018 taxes), but the 8 GPUs didn't arrive until about 3 weeks ago since everything was on backorder. Luckily, B&H honored the price I ordered at instead of cancelling, so I ended up still getting the FTW2s for $499 (still $30 more than what it was in November but cheaper than the $700 they list at now). I had bought enough parts to run up to 14 (maybe 16 undervolting) cards to give my self some flexibility to expand down the line. Being a total noob, I had to make sure I could actually setup everything successfully and get it running before maxing out. However, once I got 8 cards setup and decided to get more cards, the prices spiked to absurd levels and I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger anymore. It was only last week that I lucked out on Craiglist and picked up 3 more EVGA cards from another miner. My goal is to get to 12 to "complete" the setup. Specs: GPUs 8 X EVGA 1070 TI FTW2s (didn't realize these were 2 8 pins so I had to get Y-splitters for them) 2X EVGA 1070 TI FTW (also 2 8 pins) 1X EVGA 1070 TI SC Gaming Black (it pains me that my cards are mismatched. I'll be keeping an eye on the FTW2s and may sell this one to buy more FTW2s just so everything is uniform for my own peace of mind) MoBo ASUS B250 Mining Expert CPU Celeron G3900 RAM Ballistix 16GB kit PSU 2X EVGA 1600 G2 Gold rated Frame Mining Expert 19-GPU Mining Rig Frame with 18 RGB LED Fans (these fans are unecessary as the cards run cool enough but they look cool so fuck you) Risers UBit (has 6 pin, Molex and Sata connectors so I can mix and match from my PSUs) Hardrive Samsung 250GB 860 Evo series SSD Power Button Uxcell 67" OS Currently running on Windows 10 but may switchover to HiveOS or SMOS. My next project is to learn Linux. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 04:22 AM PDT I just got my first AMD card for free. So it's time to mess around. The card is an Asus RX 460 4GB. What are my options in term of mining software? What do you personally use, and recommend, and why? ty [link] [comments]
can you use 19 nvidia gpus of the same model in Asus B250 Mining Expert? Posted: 01 Apr 2018 04:15 AM PDT I was watching a video and a guy that I wonder if he understands about mining, said the maximum possible that can be mined with the same model gpu are 8, as for example if I put nine gtx 1070 on this motherboard, as for example if I put nine gtx 1070 on this motherboard, one of the GPUs will be disregarded by driver limitation Can someone confirm me if this is true? Posted: 31 Mar 2018 07:04 PM PDT I'm looking at setting up my first rig to mine on Cryptonite/Ethereum. I have narrowed my card list down to RX570's, but I'm not sure which brand to go for. (Chose RX570's because I can get these cheap) From the list below, which one would you guys recommend for a beginner? Sapphire Pulse RX570 4GB ITX, STRIX RX570 O4G GAMING 4GB, Sapphire Pulse RX570 4GB I'm leaning towards the Sapphire Pulse or the Strix. I read that the Sapphire Pulse ITX can have some issues, and pulling a little less hashrates than the other 2 ones listed. Much appreciated :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Mar 2018 06:54 PM PDT Coming up, a project through which a miner a can mine cryptocurrencies on remote infrastructure. We have merged the concept of cloud mining services and virtual servers to create truly remote capable distributed mining service. Our dapp will provide the facility to remotely connect to the hardware, the specs of which the miner has subscribed for and then carry out mining as if being done personally. At the time of subscription, the miner can choose the type, ASIC / GPU, the hash rate and the period. A typical subscription will last for maxinum 5 years. Questions or concerns welcome! TIFU by thinking mining pool hub was being stupid Posted: 31 Mar 2018 12:30 PM PDT This was yesterday, not today. I've been dual mining Ethash and Maxcoin on mph, with auto exchange turned on. It's been exchanging Musicoin, ethereum classic to ethereum, no problem. But, my Maxcoin just kept piling up, I looked and mph showed Maxcoin was on yobit. So, thinking they were just not moving it over and exchanging it, I transferred my 80 Maxcoin over, exchanged them for ethereum, and went to move them to my wallet. That's when the trouble hit. After withdrawal fee, I'd have -0.002something ethereum. Crap. Since 80 max only made 0.002something ethereum, it wouldn't even cover the withdrawal fee. I looked to see if I could move it to another coin with a lower fee, but didn't find one with minimal searching. Luckily, I did this early, and am mainly mining as a hobby, but still frustrated I didn't think to look at the withdrawal fee. Tl;dr I moved my Maxcoin on to an exchange, changed it to ethereum, but forgot to look at withdrawal fees. [link] [comments] |
