Question about AES (Rijndael, ECB, 256b) Posted: 05 Apr 2018 01:05 PM PDT Is it possible to find password of an AES encryption knowing that : - it uses Rijndael algorithm, 256 bits and ECB mode - I can have any pairs of plaintext/cipher text - the encryption gives always the same cipher text for a given plaintext Thanks for your help Edit : I corrected some terms according to jimktrains comment. Posted: 05 Apr 2018 11:09 AM PDT I'm very new to cryptography and was given basically an 11 by 11 matrix of letters. It is supposed to be decrypted into a phrase of some sort, with the meaning having some significance to me. How would you approach this? I tried a Hill cipher but that didn't make any sense because I just turned the letters into numbers, which is not a phrase. Please help, I'm new and clueless! [link] [comments] |
