Posted: 23 Apr 2018 05:26 PM PDT I'm struggling not to call this "geohashing" as it deviates from the idea in the xkcd, but yeah. Generating a key that can prove it was generated in a certain location. Think of applications like surveying, IoT, citizen participation. I'm struggling to think of a way that would be immune to GPS spoofing. I'm reading up on the encoding of the GPS signal. I'm wondering if anything like this has been developed and I'm not searching for the right terms. [link] [comments] |
