    Bitcoin Chart Analysis (4-6-18)

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 09:21 PM PDT

    Bitcoin

Sentiment : The sentiment appears to be currently slightly bullish. The fact that we've been holding the 6800 area again for multiple support tests lead people thinking optimistically however there is not currently any new excitement in the community. Currently I don't have much of a bias in either direction, I don't have any orders set right now and am currently flat heading into Friday.

(1H) Price Action: 7500 test failed despite the new bull volume on 4/3, failed and we got sold right off back to the channel we were in previously, except a bit wider. 6600-7200 with a lower high and lower low technically. The volume has been fairly consistent over the past few days. Volume : The volume levels have held a consistency the pas few days I see as bullish. No overwhelming volume for the bulls that will allow for more than a few hours of price increase. RSI : We are currently at 51 RSI approaching 60+ overbought levels. (Note: During 7500 test we pushed 70 RSI) A realistic push from the levels would be to 7200 area which should land at 60 RSI if we head upwards.

Bullcase: Hold 6600 as bottom and continue making these hourly higher lows for a curl up back through 7000 + volume incoming (fomo/short liquidations) buys towards 7200.

Bearcase: 55-60 RSI resistance and rejext 6900-7000 before heading to 6600 lows w/ volume increase on long liqudations/short hammering

(1D) Price Action: We made the higher low on 7044 I meaned in my prior video and continue upwards to 7500, however from there we came right back down and sold off strongly back to the lows. Green inside bar forming on unimpressive volume. Volume : 4/4 and 4/5 bear volume consumed the entire days. The question to be asking is that is this volume enough to push us to lower lows? Currently not. RSI : The RSi is currently 35.2, and we've been seeing lower highs on the RSI since the beginning of march, next RSI resistance is 40 even. I'd be cautious longing any pops over 37 RSI antpicipating a lower high.

Bullcase: We hold 6785.86 daily low, and break back over 7000 w/ volume slowly increasing over the next 2-3 days w/ the 7500 break and test 7800. Bearcase: Reject prior days high of 6933.11 and momentum turns around back to lows of pervious day (6568.64). Due to the lower highs discussed in my video, I'm more focused on analyzing the bear case.

Enough Waiting, Time To Be Proactive (Part 2) Take The Small Gains

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 08:48 PM PDT

Let's dream a bit. Hodlers, what are your future x100, x30, x10 coins in your portfolio and Why?

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 02:16 AM PDT

Title pretty much says it all. Which of your coins/tokens do you trust most to moon and why. Everyone gets to shill 1 x100, 1 x50 and 1 x10. I'll start:

x100 Chainlink (Link): Decentralised Oracle platform to connect smart contracts to the outside world. Oracles are the missing link to enable blockchains to unleash their full power and obtain mass adoption. Chainlink has the best vision out there and capable devs who work on this solution for years now. Small market cap of ~$120mio justifies a x100 for such a crucial element in cryptospace.

x50 IOTA: Building the standard for IOT. It's feeless, one day infinitively scalable and doesn't require energy consuming mining. It will connect the world of machines as no second protocol. Market cap of ~$3bn gives it room to grow significantly in the booming lot markets.

x10: I wanna say Req but I go with ARK: Ark enables communication between blockchains, which becomes increasingly important given the vast amount of different blockchains out there. Secondly it allows everyone to build their own private blockchain with the simple click of a button. Market cap of ~$200m leaves plenty of room for a x10 at least.

I spent the past 3 months building a tool to help crypto traders calculate their gains and prepare their taxes. Please let me know what you think!

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 04:56 PM PDT

I have always been super overwhelmed with calculating my gains/crypto taxes so I decided to build a tool tool to do the hard parts for me. Right now, it allows you to upload trades from any exchange, add your income, and export your gain/loss reports over multiple tax years.

I plan on adding many more features such as the ability to import your trade history through exchange APIs, but was hoping to get some feedback from you guys first. If you have the time, I would love to hear if you find anything that is unclear with the tool or if you run into any issues creating your report.

    Website Link: https://www.cryptotrader.tax/

I also wrote a few guides on how to get started with the tool:

    Thanks everyone!

    Researching 30 million Ethereum addresses

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 07:33 PM PDT

On March 30 we surpassed 30 million Ethereum addresses. Of course that means that there are still only few million people actively using Ethereum to either launch contracts, send Ether or tokens. But the beauty (or the curse) of the Ethereum blockchain is that their moves are public and we can track them. Why would we? At least 3 reasons come to mind: * cause we can 'follow' an investor we admire and see what they are buying/selling & when * we can track what projetcs what raised money in an ICO are doing with it. Moving or keeping? Can also try to estimate how much runway they still have looking at the date they sent Ether to an exchange to get FIAT * to explore them for research purposes

And as I am building with my team a tool to enabling discovery & research of the Ethereum blockchain (you can check it out at www.trivial.co) - you can add any address to your favorites and track what the address is doing (it will appear on the news section on the main page & in your Favorites. I want to ask you what other criteria would be useful for you apart the ones that we've already marked down:

    • by tokens addresses hold
    • by being a top holder of something
    • by Ether wealth (e.g. see only accounts that hold more than xx of Ether)
    • by total wealth (incl all the tokens value)
    • by account birth date
    • by nb of txs

    What else?

    Some confirmation of Chinese adoption

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 12:36 PM PDT

7.1 Gui'an City VeChain is mandated to be the blockchain technology partner of the government of Gui'an to plan, design and implement solutions to improve Chinese government administrative management efficiency and set up a pilot program for all of China for true Smart-City development and provide analysis as to what the benefits for the stakeholders of Smart-Cities might be. Gui'an New Area was mandated a National Level Area and the entire city of Gui'an has been granted preferential policies, funding, and privileges directly by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. When the technology and the implementation process streamlines are well tested, it is expected that this process will be rolled out throughout the entire region of China.

VeChain is working closely with the Administrative Examination and Approval Bureau of Gui'an New Area to provide a blockchain based information system to collect and analyze administrative data, offer privacy protection of data and apply blockchain technology to reform business registration and cut red tape. They have already started using the E-Government System powered by VeChainThor to store business registration related documents and are planning to implement remote business registration functionality to further increase government administration efficiency and ultimately provide robust auditing over any government processes occurring within Gui'an and future projects.

Additionally, the Management Committee of Gui'an Free Trade Zone has partnered with VeChain to build the world's first Blockchain Smart-Town on VeChainThor and once successful, this pilot township will be implemented on a much larger scale rapidly. The township will involve blockchain applications such as SmartBlockchain Administration, Agriculture and Retail.

Along with the Gui'an Government, VeChain is also building world's first blockchain powered fine wine/liquor exchange in Gui'an Free Trade Zone. This is VeChain's first attempt to combine physical assets with digital assets to be traded on a specially designed blockchain based exchange.
