Nilson Report features the Cambridge usage of XRP

Received an update from ToastWallet today on adding the buy/sell XRP feature...

Do people realize this exchange is backed by ripple blockchain, and uses IOU's and xrp to transfer the assets on it by way of the xrpL.

It appears the 1.03 billion XRP he/she had was transferred to multiple different XRP wallets, which were then sent to even more xrp wallets, and were then sent to bitfinex and bittrex exchanges. Fair warning, I only traced one 100 million xrp transfer to all of end destinations. It appears this is very likely the cause of ripple's xrp price fall today.

    Edit: spelling error

Is there a strategy for Coinbase to not list XRP and other major coins?

    Posted: 22 Mar 2018 07:44 PM PDT

XRP, EOS, NEO, ADA these coins are all in the billions in market cap. Coinbase stands to make millions in fees if they would capture even a small percentage of these coin's daily volume. Yet Coinbase says they have no immediate intention to list other coins.

Is there some strategy to this that I'm not seeing?

Another linked to an article (now no longer available) that said there are 23 trillion in "liquidity pools". can we expand on that and how the remittance and SWIFT system works?

    Posted: 22 Mar 2018 01:53 PM PDT

question, how it that 23trill figure amount possible, its greater than world gdp. i guess this is derivatives which the notational value of the entire derivatives market is around 900 trillion. so i understand that gdp and notational value hold a lose relationship as many derivatives are derivatives ontop of derivatives hedges, futures, swaptions etc etc many acting as locking in a price at a date.

Can anyone explain to me what kind of accounts and derivatives are used in these "liquidity pools"? I thought banks just had fiat different denominations (usd, aud, nzd, etc etc) in nostro and vostro accounts in which would not include derivatives, just hard money to facilitate remittance e.g. sending aussie dollars to fiji and recieving fiji dollars. money sitting in an account doing nothing is a liability on a banks balance sheet. which is why i see so much promise in ripple. no more dead money sitting in these accounts.

If this 23 trillion dollar figure is true, this is quite huge for ripple and is a no brainer for adoption.

As for SWIFT, its an overnight settlement right? what is the cost of using SWIFT? getting rid of SWIFT however is a no brainer regardless of cost also as ripple is basically instant.

If anyone can flesh out how the international money transfer system works, or could link an article id like that.

    Tried to Order On Binance

    Posted: 22 Mar 2018 04:15 PM PDT

I tried to put in an order for about $1,200 worth of XRP using Bitcoin on Binance. But it seems to be stuck at 9.43% filled.
I have bought 8 times previously and it was always instant. Is no one selling XRP right now???

    Ripple growth prediction question

    Posted: 22 Mar 2018 09:40 PM PDT

It was around this time last year that Ripple began climbing significantly when it was less than one US cent. Then of course came the April rally in 2017.

Do you think we will see something similar this late March/April for Ripple (in either direction)?
