Ripple “very confident” of entering Chinese market this year

@Ripple: "It's impossible to send 50 bucks from the US to Europe without it being chewed up by fees. 50 cents isn't even on the table, but with the #InternetofValue combing things like #ILP and $XRP it is absolutely possible." -Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen https://t.co/b4MnkS71w2

The agreement between Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) and US-based financial technology company Ripple in managing a cross-border transaction of local banks will translate to savings of roughly $200-$400 million per year

XCURRENT can settle with xrp (although that would be xrapid). They are one process, the way that its settled determines what its called.

I'm Excited About XRP and Want to Recommend to Friends and Family But I Don't.

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 03:59 PM PDT

I'm all in with XRP (my only crypto investment and all money I can afford to lose is in it).

I'm excited about it's future, and I am always tempted to say to friends and family "you should get in on this while it's cheap".

    BUT!!

There is a fair chance it won't work out and I lose some or all of my money, it is still quite a risky investment at the end of the day.

Even though I'm tempted, I won't recommend or really speak about XRP unless I'm asked. If it doesn't work out, I don't want to be partially responsible for other people's losses too!

    Anyone else have this dilemma?

    Santander Stock and Ripple

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 01:44 PM PDT

I don't know if it's just me, but after hearing how Santander is planning to use ripple based software and platform for that payment app, I went in and bought a couple shares of Santander stock to compliment my ripple. Did this after seeing how kodaks stock went from $3 to $12 after kodak announced it was going to develop a their own cryptocurrency. Please let me know if you guys think this was a smart idea!

Virtual currency defined as legal currency in Wyoming.

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 04:21 PM PDT

Hey everyone! I have recently decided to get as direct to the sources from what I have been seeing and hearing in the news regarding crypto. Recently I Interviewed Tyler Lindholm, a State Representative from Wyoming. He had a large part in constructing the crypto bills that were passed just recently. They are the first in the world to do this and it may have a huge impact.

6:00- We start to talk about the Bills.

10:20- Set up file 111. This is very interesting.

12:00- Virtual currency defined as a legal currency in Wyoming.

Ripple would have never released xvia....

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 10:27 AM PDT

I don't think Ripple would have made xvia, if they were not confident that companies were going to hold xrp or not. Xvia is the back half of xrapid, allowing the partner to send xrp to another entity, and have it settle in the partners currency. The difference between xrapid and xvia, is sourcing of the XRP. Xvia is for the partner who has xrp already on hand.

Xcurrent, and Xvia CAN SETLLE WITH XRP, they dont have to( but xrp will be cheaper). Xrapid has too. https://twitter.com/joelkatz/status/963227330184323073

how can I use xRapid instead of Stripe, braintree etc...

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 12:06 PM PDT

Maybe someone here can help me out with this, So the problem I have is that we need to let our users pay for our services from our app via credit card. The average service bill is 10$ and we charge 5% as our service fee, I wanted to integrate stripe or something similar but they all have 2.9% + 0.3$. 2.9$ is bearable but 0.3$ is ruining whole business and making end product really expensive, because our clients will be using our app multiple times per week and this 0.3$ really adds up. Has Xrapid somehow solved this problem yet or are we not yet there?

Transferring Ripple from Abra to Binance

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 08:03 PM PDT

Just transferred some BTC from Coinbase to Abra. I would like to transfer some of my coin to Binance. I now have more into Ripple than Bitcoin. So my question would be. Do i need to transfer it back to BTC then exchange that to Binance, then buy more XRP, etc? I've heard Abra is gaining momentum so i would hate to take it all out just to buy more altcoins that are through Binance. Appreciate the help!

Why do companies start with xCurrent?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 08:40 AM PDT

This has been on my mind recently.

I presume companies are aware of the products that Ripple offer and the savings they can make. We recently saw that the Saudi bank can save up to $400 million a year using xCurrent but my question is: why don't companies go straight into xRapid with XRP, which they know will save them more money + time?

I get the argument of walking before running but surely if you're able to save that amount of money as a bank and even more if you use xRapid with XRP, why wouldn't you just take xRapid on board straight away and skip xCurrent?
