Wow, the Abra app is slick as hell

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 02:14 AM PDT

Been playing with the app for the past 24 hours. Not only did a funds transfer from my bank arrive within FIVE FREAKING HOURS, (and still hasn't shown up on my banking app yet,) but the app itself works beautifully.

Seriously impressed. I'll be leaving Coinbase very shortly.

    Big fan here.

Obligatory disclaimer: Absolutely no connection to the company other than a customer liking it a lot.

Virtual currency defined as legal currency in Wyoming.

    Posted: 20 Mar 2018 07:35 PM PDT

Hey everyone! I have recently decided to get as direct to the sources from what I have been seeing and hearing in the news regarding crypto. Recently I Interviewed Tyler Lindholm, a State Representative from Wyoming. He had a large part in constructing the crypto bills that were passed just recently. They are the first in the world to do this and it may have a huge impact.

6:00- We start to talk about the Bills.

10:20- Set up file 111. This is very interesting.

12:00- Virtual currency defined as a legal currency in Wyoming.

If this is true could somebody direct me to a link or if there is anything similar to this please direct me. Would like to accept Litecoin as well as Bitcoin.

Edit: for y'all in Chicago wondering where it is...

    Unfound worries about Abra?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 09:15 AM PDT

It seems odd to me that you never own the coins you purchase. It just holds an order that executes on sale.

Not really a way to decentralize the currency systems when all your money just gets held by a financial institution instead of trading on the market.

I get that this company becoming successful would greatly increase ltc demand when it starts backing trades with it, but something seems a little off.

Can't fully place it. Am I wrong somewhere?

Any local businesses in the Los Angeles/ San Fernando Valley area acceping Litecoin?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 08:45 AM PDT

I want to buy and spend Litecoin. If you own a business, doesn't matter (super market, liquor store, barbershop, etc.), and you accept Litecoin, let me know. I want to support you and refer my LTC friends and family to you.

    Is there crypto-friendly tax software?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2018 11:20 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I'm something of a recent graduate so I have very little experience with doing taxes. I did it for the first time last year by just paying my dad's accountant of choice. Last year I had a job + did some day trading of stocks using robinhood.

It was simple enough, but cost $150 since I had a lot of stock paperwork for him.

I want to try and do it myself this year, but now I have money in coins. I went from coinbase to gdax, with just tons of trading.

Is there software out there for doing taxes that will make my life easier? Does turbotax or something like that handle gdax transaction files... or ... damn I don't even know what I'm asking for exactly. Any tips on doing taxes this year?

Forgot wallet passphrase - litecoin core - Questions about passphrase setup

    Posted: 20 Mar 2018 10:11 PM PDT

Hey so I let my dad borrow my computer a while back to backup some of his old files... long story short I had my passphrase saved on a .txt file I think he accidentally deleted along with you School stuff ... either way can't assess my coins and my back up was on my old phone that crashed... I'm not sure if I have this passphrase backed up somewhere else and if I had done answers to theses questions it could help me find it

-does litecoin core make you enable you're passphrase to send coins right when you download the wallet or do you enable it manually?

    -how many words is it?

-if I find it is it a straight string of words or is there spaces?

    Edit:

thank you all so much you were a ton of help
