Are replay attacks still possible with official wallet when moving pre-fork ETH? Posted: 30 Mar 2018 11:41 AM PDT If I download the newest eth wallet (https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases) and use it to move some pre-fork ETH (i.e. pre ethereum classic) can the receiver still replay attack to steal the ETC at those addresses? or has this been prevented in the new releases? thanks for any info! Posted: 30 Mar 2018 06:16 AM PDT Okay so this is a beginner question so this may sound stupid. My question is, in the most basic terms possible, what is the ice age. I guess my real question is when i's over, will there be a hard fork meaning ETH will become irrelevant and a new coin will be used? For example, would buying ETH at its current low be dumb if there's a fork to a different coin coming soon or is it not a full-scale fork to a different coin? (I understand some of my terminology may be off here) I guess my question is really, should I even bother with normal ETH anymore? Will ETH still be the primary coin? Is this actually a real fork to a new coin per say? I'm confused. PLS HELP haha. Edit: Another question I have- With all these miners dropping out of ETH won't that create massive problems for the blockchain? How can it rebound easily if miners are giving up on it? Posted: 30 Mar 2018 09:02 AM PDT I started a competition to celebrate adding ETH to my dice site. Suddenly, our prize pool grew to over 220 ETH and a lot of our players decided to try ETH even though they never used it before. I wrote a short post about our ETH implementation detail before. I am a developer, mostly working with open-source stuff (got into crypto only 2 years ago), and honestly I find Ethereum developers & community to be one of the most vibrant, determined and focused from all I've seen and been in so far. Anyway, I hope Ethereum keeps growing. Don't worry about market cap or market price, Ethereum obviously enables unique use cases that will be widely adopted at some point! Keep up the great work!
