    I understand the optimisms on ethereum future. But like vitalik himself said ethereum is an experiment as of now. In what case, could eth loose the interest of the public n no longer hold any significant values? Would it likely be issues regarding to consensuses, scal or Sth else?

    Some questions on the Ethereum zk-SNARKS implementation

    OK, so I went through the Goldwasser, Blum, etc. papers tracing things from the beginning (in regards to other things I've long discovered you reach the A-HA! moment quicker when going back to where this or that thing originally popped up from), but I still kind of don't entirely understand how this is supposed to work on Ethereum.

    Basically, a trusted setup for whatever goal or purpose generates a private/public key pair, burns the private part and from the public one generates yet another key pair of proving and verifying key.

    The verifying part on the blockchain comes as a bunch of precompiled smart contracts, so basically, the blockchain here acts as verifier of proofs of computational integrity? Is that correct?

    Am I the only one concerned that ETH transactions are falling off a cliff?

    I know I'm going to be downvoted but can we discuss why transactions on the ethereum blockchain are steadily declining? Even when the price dropped in the past, transactions were increasing. Makes me a little nervous.

    Anyone have a good reason for why the number of transactions is dropping and what might reverse the trend ?

    How should I go about writing records management app with Ethereum?

    I'm not sure if using blockchain for this makes much sense, but I want to build an application where there is a central organization which adds data, and all other members of the network who can read data and see history of changes. Data needs to be encrypted in a way that only those who need to read it get it (for example, I have a record for user with ID 12345 encrypted with his public RSA key so only he can decrypt it). What are possible efficient ways (if there are any) to do this?

    I have a MEW with some tokens and eth in it. I stored it away cold for a while and only kept the private key and as a guarantee, I took a photo of the private key as a back up. Here's the interesting part. So I've now gone on to MEW to send those tokens else where, bu when I enter my private key, it doesn't seem to be longer enough.

    Is it possible that over a various network upgrades or for any other reason that the required private key length for MEW would change?

    I'm frustrated that I have these tokens (and I can see they are there using the public address) but I can access them.

    Tokens != ICO != Ethereum

    Tokens and their utility is a larger set than ICO models. And tokens are but a small subset of possible Ethereum innovations. Since ive been in this space, countless project proposals have come forward which are not frequently in the Reddit channel.

    ICO are problematic Equity finance. What about debt financing? contract agreements on the Blockchain? IMO These are valid methods that are barely explored.
