    Fantasy trading simulators?

    Posted: 28 Mar 2018 05:54 PM PDT

I just came across this video a few weeks ago and found it pretty intriguing. Apparently you can compete against others to see who gets the highest gains in a competition, and the winners are paid out in crypto, in this case the coin platform hosting the game, NLC2.

What do ya'll think about this? Good way to bring in institutional investors and money? Or good for newbs as well, to sort of dip their feet into the crypto world without investing too much.

Personally I think it has huge implications if it can reach the masses, as it basically allows people to learn trading through incentives.

Coinfalcon grossly overcharges for trades made via their "Buy & Sell" tab

    Posted: 28 Mar 2018 05:29 PM PDT

I have made a total of 5 trades on Coinfalcon, using ETH to pay for XBY (Xtrabytes) each time. Right off the bat, I'll say that there was a great deal of negligence on my part in not realizing that I was being ripped off from the first trade, let alone the next 4. That's because I put trust in an exchange, something that no one should ever do. From now on, I will calculate conversion rates manually before making any trade.

Here is a screenshot of my trades on Coinfalcon

I will list the USD value for each currency for the first 4 trades using Coinmarketcap's median price for XBY on the dates specified; for the last trade, I will use Coinfalcon's median price for the XBY/ETH pair right after the trade took place.

*XBY/ETH price on Coinfalcon right after trade (in CAD; ~0.17 USD)

I did some quick checks to see if other trading pairs are affected; Nano and Vechain are affected, at least; it seems likely this is the case for every currency.

Values for currencies on Mar. 27 2018, 15:00 EST:

For 50 Nano (330.50 USD), Coinfalcon says you need...

    0.869999 ETH > 397.95 USD

    0.04837705 BTC > 383.45 USD

For 50 VEN (148.50 USD), Coinfalcon says you need...

    0.4288925 ETH > 196.18 USD

    0.0219995 BTC > 174.38 USD

Learn from my ire-imbued ignorance and don't take anything for granted on exchanges; use that calculator and Coinkmarketcap/Livecoinwatch/etc. for each trade.

ChronoBank mentioned by TabbFORUM regarding the multiple benefits of blockchain within the HR/recruitment industry

    Posted: 28 Mar 2018 05:03 PM PDT

ChronoBank is mentioned in this detailed article by TabbFORUM which outlines the key benefits to utilizing a blockchain system in HR and recruitment industries.

TabbFORUM describes the enhanced efficiency the recruitment industry will receive with a blockchain system in terms of verifying the qualifications of candidates. Links with educational institutions also using a blockchain based system will provide increased legitimacy and trust in the form of a comprehensive, blockchain-based record of the candidate's skills, qualifications, previous workplace performance and training.

"ChronoBank wants to revolutionize the entire HR industry by "disrupting the HR/recruitment/finance industries in a comparable way to how Uber disrupted the taxi business and how Upwork represented an evolution in freelancing." The company's primary focus is to create a revolution in the short-term recruitment in key professions. But this could later be broadened to cover a wider addressable market."
