BitPay Invoices Now Support Bitcoin Cash Payments Posted: 08 Mar 2018 06:31 PM PST Hi, It's time! Your customers can now pay you with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). After a period of testing Bitcoin Cash payment processing with pilot merchants, this new payment type is available on all BitPay invoices. Your customers now have two ways to pay at checkout: Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). They can make a side by side comparison whenever they pay so they can decide which payment method they prefer to use to complete their orders. Want a quick recap of everything you need to know about BitPay's Bitcoin Cash merchant processing? Check out our feature overview for BitPay merchants. Not ready to accept Bitcoin Cash yet? You can turn off this feature in your BitPay merchant dashboard under Settings > Accepted Currencies. What's next For the final stage of our rollout, we will be working to enable settlements in Bitcoin Cash, giving you one more way to get paid for the payments you accept via BitPay. Our team is excited to help you and your customers get the most out of this new feature, and we look forward to your feedback. Posted: 08 Mar 2018 06:40 PM PST The original vision can be found here: https://bitcoin.com/bitcoin.pdf
BitcoinCore has removed non-reversible transactions by adding "replace by fee" against the will of the community. They did this because their willful neglect caused transaction prices to rise and they thought people should bid on the next block. This goes directly against the Whitepaper. BitcoinCore is adding middlemen (themselves) by introducing the Lightning Network and Sidechains. Both will require those hubs to send your information to your local government. This goes directly against the original reason for using Bitcoin in the first place. BitcoinCore does not want peer-to-peer electronic cash, they want peer-to-[a hub they own]-to peer in order to steal money from you. The current newer and less-competent developers on BitcoinCore are running BTC into the ground, almost on purpose. This is why Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the main currency talked about on Bitcoin.com and r/btc. [link] [comments]

Anyone else feel a shift? The market's way down and I'm more excited than ever. Posted: 08 Mar 2018 03:56 PM PST What I'm getting recently is that the shitcoin shitfork shitico deluge will not yet slowdown, but, the market is already saturated and yawns. And that leaves about half a dozen pareto coins (for now). It's good to own them all as they will carry 80% of the ccurrency market value in the medium term. But there is one of these that, technically speaking, was designed to be an 8-cylinder full-throttle global currency. only one that, technically speaking, is head and shoulders above the others in current capability to actually pulse every ten minutes without fail pushing value around the world without friction from rent seekers, spreading health. I can't wait to send a few mils to some kid who needs fish hooks. Everyone loves giving. There's a tsunami of good will on the horizon. All the money in the world is far more than the world needs to be happy. Finally the care-barriers and give-friction is eroding in big chunks. [link] [comments]

Why the weird BitPay address format? Posted: 08 Mar 2018 09:43 PM PST I don't get it -- why does BitPay make it so difficult to pay with Bitcoin Cash? They don't support normal BCH addresses, so you can't just send Bitcoin Cash from any normal BCH wallet? This makes no sense to me. And why would a merchant bother choosing BitPay over Coinbase? It seems like Coinbase makes this process MUCH easier for merchants and customers, since Coinbase is following standard address protocols. [link] [comments]

Post in the comments other projects/orgs (only donations, though). FYI: BitPay allows donations only for non-profits (see here). [link] [comments]
