    There is a huge edit war on Wikipedia where trolls like the user "Jtbobwaysf" are trying very hard to inject the word "bcash" into Bitcoin Cash pages and reverting/editing other pages that speak factually poorly on topics such as Lightning Network, Segwit, etc.

    It's time! Your customers can now pay you with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). After a period of testing Bitcoin Cash payment processing with pilot merchants, this new payment type is available on all BitPay invoices.

    Your customers now have two ways to pay at checkout: Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). They can make a side by side comparison whenever they pay so they can decide which payment method they prefer to use to complete their orders.

    Not ready to accept Bitcoin Cash yet? You can turn off this feature in your BitPay merchant dashboard under Settings > Accepted Currencies.

    To newcomers: Bitcoin Cash is the original Bitcoin. It is the fork that kept the original vision outlined in the Bitcoin Whitepaper. In 2013 greedy and power driven newcomers took over development and started a plan to force users off-chain with Segwit.

    Abstract. A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

    1. Introduction Commerce on the Internet has come to rely almost exclusively on financial institutions serving as trusted third parties to process electronic payments. While the system works well enough for most transactions, it still suffers from the inherent weaknesses of the trust based model. Completely non-reversible transactions are not really possible, since financial institutions cannot avoid mediating disputes...

    BitcoinCore has removed non-reversible transactions by adding "replace by fee" against the will of the community. They did this because their willful neglect caused transaction prices to rise and they thought people should bid on the next block. This goes directly against the Whitepaper.

    BitcoinCore is adding middlemen (themselves) by introducing the Lightning Network and Sidechains. Both will require those hubs to send your information to your local government. This goes directly against the original reason for using Bitcoin in the first place. BitcoinCore does not want peer-to-peer electronic cash, they want peer-to-[a hub they own]-to peer in order to steal money from you.

    The current newer and less-competent developers on BitcoinCore are running BTC into the ground, almost on purpose. This is why Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the main currency talked about on Bitcoin.com and r/btc.

    What I'm getting recently is that the shitcoin shitfork shitico deluge will not yet slowdown, but, the market is already saturated and yawns.

    And that leaves about half a dozen pareto coins (for now). It's good to own them all as they will carry 80% of the ccurrency market value in the medium term.

    But there is one of these that, technically speaking, was designed to be an 8-cylinder full-throttle global currency. only one that, technically speaking, is head and shoulders above the others in current capability to actually pulse every ten minutes without fail pushing value around the world without friction from rent seekers, spreading health.

    I can't wait to send a few mils to some kid who needs fish hooks. Everyone loves giving. There's a tsunami of good will on the horizon. All the money in the world is far more than the world needs to be happy. Finally the care-barriers and give-friction is eroding in big chunks.

    I don't get it -- why does BitPay make it so difficult to pay with Bitcoin Cash? They don't support normal BCH addresses, so you can't just send Bitcoin Cash from any normal BCH wallet? This makes no sense to me.

    And why would a merchant bother choosing BitPay over Coinbase? It seems like Coinbase makes this process MUCH easier for merchants and customers, since Coinbase is following standard address protocols.
