Ver announces Bitcoin.com wallet will no longer support a default BTC wallet, only BCH, at Satoshi's Vision

    Posted: 23 Mar 2018 10:09 PM PDT

Roger Ver just announced Bitcoin(.com) wallet will no longer support a default Bitcoin Core wallet in the next update, only Bitcoin Cash.

"Why would they need a wallet anyways since they don't want to use it as cash?"

Just raised in the conference. ZERO-CONF. Great name for tech heads as it explains what it is.... *TERRIBLE* for marketing, for public as ZERO is a negative word. Rizun agreed we need a better name. So good folks or /r/btc - any ideas?

Rick Falkvinge, the man who had the vision to go all in on bitcoin in 2011 is one of Bitcoin Cash’s biggest supporters today. (We should spread this message to those just getting into crypto recently.)

Another big, old, highly rated gambling house adds Bitcoin Cash support

    Posted: 23 Mar 2018 11:04 AM PDT

    Intertops.

Intertops is a 30 year old bookie who was one of the first to go online in 1998. They are a pretty big bookie with A+ ratings on many sportsbook review websites. They also are one of the few remaining sites to provide action to Americans. They adopted Bitcoin back in 2015 but haven't embraced any other coins.

I believe that the high fees and slow confirmations a few months ago on the Bitcoin Core chain is what prompted them to explore other options. At least that is what I inferred by talking to them at a recent gambling industry conference.

No matter how it came to be, Tops now accepts Bitcoin Cash. They also started taking Litecoin too.

Here is an external link to the story.

BCore's mempool is at 1.4 megabytes. I know that's not much compared to historical highs, however we must remember every time it is above 1,000,000 bytes somebody somewhere is having a less than ideal user-experience using the BTC coin. Another win for Bitcoin (Cash).

Funny meme idea. Somebody should create an actual Bitcoin dip. (I have a good recipe) and sell it online for Bitcoin Cash.

    Posted: 23 Mar 2018 06:46 PM PDT

Then we can all buy the dip. Everybody knows when you buy the dip you pay with Bitcoin Cash.

Digital Cash is cool. Programmable Digital Cash is cooler. Support colored coins!

    Posted: 23 Mar 2018 03:08 PM PDT

Look, I'm fairly techincally savvy but I'm not going to wade into the debates about specific implemenation, there are more qualified folks out there.

But without having an opinion about /how/ to do it, can we all agree that colored coins are a Good Thing for BCH? Anything that opens up the door to more use cases (properly implemented) is going to grow the network, and that in turn makes BCH better as digital cash. I know it's important to get it right, but it's also important to Get It Done!

    TL;DR Colored coins FTW.
