Why the haters hate XRP BY GALGITRON Posted: 23 Feb 2018 12:13 PM PST Another fresh piece by Galgitron. This is for you if you have any reservations about XRP. If you're a HODLer, don't give up. Hold tight and enjoy the sale. Have a good weekend y'all. [link] [comments]
Two XRP/BTC pairings in top 10 volume. Posted: 23 Feb 2018 07:01 PM PST Binance and poloniex are the only two major exchanges in the top 10 by xrp volume that still only offer xrp paired to BTC or ETH. These exchanges account for 10% of xrp's volume. It would help significantly with decoupling. I know binance doesn't even offer a BNB pairing for xrp. Not cool this needs to change! Posted: 23 Feb 2018 10:43 AM PST I have seen some people making the statement that investing in XRP can be compared to buying a stock and in this case that would be ripple. So to which extend is this true? First of all when you own a stock, you then own a small part of that company. So lets say when you own XRP you own a small part in ripple. But wait Ripple doesn't earn enough money to even come close justifying the current price of XRP, like big company earnings and their stocks . So if we do exclude FOMO and every other type of speculate price pumping feelings we have, how can we make this comparison? Unlike a lot of other crypto currency's and as discussed many time's before XRP has to have a X price (let's call this the future price of XRP for simplicity) to support the total amount of fiat currency to be moved throughout the world via Xrapid . That's where the comparison starts, so when the total amount of moved fiat currency via Xrapid will increase so will price X. Back to the part where we compared XRP to be a stock of Ripple, as seen above when Ripple does it's work properly (implementing Xrapid with as many banks as possible) the price X of XRP has to rise, thus implementing Xrapid at more banks can be compared to Big company's earning more and thus increasing their stock price. So what can we make of all this? We all know there are more factors that will affect the price of XRP, but this is something you can store in the back of your head when prices of crypto will go south or any other event will happen. Because XRP is not a useless crypto coin, it does have a real value that is not based only on speculation. Excuse me for any bad grammar and let me hear what you guys think. [link] [comments]

Changing from paper wallet to Toast Posted: 23 Feb 2018 06:13 AM PST Hey there, I was wondering how moving money from a paper wallet works. In Toast I can add an existing account, is this what I would do? I just type in my secret key here and that's it? Is it recommended to move the XRP a second time after doing this? Into an account where I haven't typed the secret key into or is a new secret key generated for a "new-existing" account? Also, each time I move XRP out of a wallet I leave 20 behind, correct? Which I may or may not get back depending on if the rules change on that? Last thing, if I have 1000xrp in a wallet, as a Canadian, how can I sell this for fiat, (not that I want to gotta hold!) preferably USD. I've used the Coinbase - GDAX - Binance method for all my purchases. Can I do this in reverse or is there another method? Is there a general percentage of your investment that is lost when you're transferring to sell? Lots of questions.. Sorry to sound like a noob, I am one! Thanks :) [link] [comments]
