Does it mean $141B worth of US dollars has been transferred via XRP in the last 24 hours? I remember this number hovering around $1B in the previous months..

Looks like Swift is adding DLT in their third phase.

Looks like swift is implementing DLT in its third phase. I wonder if this is competition( at least a stab at it, they have no hope lol) to Ripple Labs, or possibly SWIFT joining forces with Ripple?

Either way its laughable how they stated 150 banks in their GPI system, when xcurrent and xrapid pilots has as many partners as that before full commercialization. Also swift just talking about implementing DLT in its 3rd phase( still on phase 1), and ripple is already using inter-ledger technology. The vision for ILP is amazing, something swift can never do because its only an interbank network. Also they cant offer instant liquidity in any fait pair like xrp can. https://ripple.com/insights/interledger-beyond-blockchain/

Edit: The exact reasons why ripple is better, and the reasons SWIFTS system will fail, thanks to u/the-foundation 's link https://ripple.com/insights/empire-strikes-back/

I apologise in advance, but if someone could fill me in.

I am relatively new to the ripple scene, and I have a small amount of XRP. I have a question, with more adoption of the ripple protocol, what would be the relation to the use of that to the price of XRP? How does utilization of the protocol, or if it even does affect the price of XRP?

    Thank you,

Using Toast Wallet on chrome vs. mobile and cold storage.

    Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:40 AM PST

Today I am undertaking the task of backing up all of my addresses, pass phrases, passwords, etc. I have read/heard too many stories lately of folks losing everything because precautions were not taken. (sorry for losses of those people) I have too many accounts with many programs (binance, evercoin, coinbase, toast wallet, doge wallet app, acorns, robinhood, etrade, etc.) and it is becoming hard to keep up with and I have only had all the back ups and info stored in 'notes' on my phone. I know, time to get that shit right and in another place than a device that could be destroyed/ruined/lost in a moments notice.

When opening toast wallet on your chrome browser, do you use restore wallet to open your existing wallet in the browser version?

Also, I have been reading to create cold storage for my XRP, but do not fully comprehend exactly what happens. Any advice or explanation welcome.

I bought two Samsung 32GB flash drives to put all of my info in. They are shock proof, temp proof, magnet proof, and x-ray proof. Is this a sufficient method of taking my info off a computer or out of just email archiving?

Any advice welcome. I know I am about to get blown up with the you should know more, noob, drama drama. Just trying to take necessary steps so I can comfortably settle in for a long term hold.

    Thank you r/ripple
