    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 05:31 AM PST

    Hey guys,

A few months ago we released an initial version of this extension, but we have now improved it and fixed some bugs that have been turning users away initially. We are posting again as we would love to hear some feedback from you on this new and (hopefully) bug-free version.

ΞXTΞND is an open-source and secure tool that let's you easily tip or give gold to reddit user's with ETH directly. Here is an example of how reddit posts will look like with the extension installed: https://blog.decenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/unverified-post.png

For more details, check out our blog post.

Source code is available on Github and extension can be installed directly from Chrome web store

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! :)

    Vitalik should meet Yuval.

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 02:30 PM PST

Watch this video: https://youtu.be/npfShBTNp3Q Will the Future Be Human? - Yuval Noah Harari at the WEF Annual Meeting 2018

As I am reaching the end of the video, I find myself mostly in complete agreement with Yuval, aside from on his conclusion: no mention of blockchain at all.

I think Vitalik should meet Yuval because as we are closing in on the scalability issues (I believe so), we are heading towards our next big problem: how do we deal with governance. Answering this question might indeed define the future of humanity.

Yuval doesn't have the answer, but a talk with Vitalik could probably go a long way as well as be very educational for people interested by this question (many).

When will we see private transactions enabled on Ethereum?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 06:23 PM PST

When will we see private transactions enabled on Ethereum? When it happens will it be as simple as enabling this option with the click of a button? I hate knowing that my coins are being tracked by gov agencies.

Can we get an Ethereum Foundation budget/expenses update please?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 08:14 PM PST

In 2016, Ethereum was in some financial trouble. I believe some devs were laid off and others took unpaid positions. The EF released statements about this and their plan going forward. Including their capital, expenses, and how long they can operate for. Can we get a new detailed report please? To make sure there isn't excessive spending, due to the insane ETH price growth, that isn't sustainable if a crash happens. Thank you.

Can someone please explain how ether would be valuable to a holder?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 11:05 AM PST

I am struggling with understanding how ether would be monetized even if applications and smart contracts become common. Exactly how would the owner of an ether token receive money? Would the apps be buying the token from a holder to run on the network? Would they borrow it for a fee? Is that possible?

    Is this all totally wrong?

I guess the question is, who will actually USE an ether token when ethereum becomes fully developped; and how would it be monetized?

Is there a simple Ethereum smart contract for e-commerce?

I'd like to do small retail commerce using Ethereum as a payment system but would like to protect my buyers as a measure of good faith, so would like to provide an escow system. Is there one yet and if so please direct me to it.

    enodes and dns or dynamic?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2018 10:53 AM PST

Is it possible to have peers configured via DNS and/or IP w/o knowing their full enode address?

It seems like the only way to add peers is via either the console or the json file or the static file for Geth and Parity and in order to do that you need to know the full enode addresses.

In a dynamic setting that's not very helpful...

It would be nicer if we could just toss DNS names at it or static IPs at it...

    1. Smart Contract runs on the blockchain platform.Though smart contract ensures integrity, tamper-proof, decentralized, and automated, we need to ensure the security of smart contract too. For this, we need to involve the auditors who conduct security audits on the smart contract. Smart Contract Audit Company identifies bugs present in the code that can lead to security vulnerabilities like huge loss of money, theft, and loss of personal data.
Bug-free code is nice to have in other types of software, not in blockchain
