Shill or FUD any top-100 marketcap coin - I'll provide the opposite! Posted: 24 Feb 2018 08:31 PM PST After seeing the thread about the "Top 10 most Shitcoin coins", I saw a lot of misinformation and a lot of people not understanding the coin they were shitting on (and some people managed to shill their coin there, wtf?) Anyways, as someone who's fairly well versed in all top 100 coins I can Shill/FUD any of them - So if you love your coin, post what's great about it! If you hate a coin, post what's so bad about it! I'll get you the other side of the story. Go! EDIT: My gf just announced she's coming over unexpectedly, I have to go! Please continue shilling/fuding without me!! [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 10:40 AM PST I'd love to have a thorough discussion of the impact of bots on the crypto markets, particularly the alt markets. I suspect a substantial portion of alt trading volume is actually done by bots, and that they are responsible for the way alts make the same moves as bitcoin but exaggerated (i.e. bitcoin goes up or down $100 and every alt's satoshi value IMMEDIATELY goes up or down with it). In fact, I think these bots have created a dynamic that is now a self fulfilling prophecy - alts behave that way because of bots, but then people set up bots to trade based on the fact that alts behave that way. And I think the people running them actually don't want everyone to realize how much of the market they make up and how they're taking advantage of it. In any event, I am sure many of you are running bots and/or have a much better understanding of them than I do, so I pose the following questions to the community; 1) how much of alt trading volume do you think is done by bots? 2) what are the most common bot trading strategies? 3) how do you think bots are impacting market dynamics? 4) are bots responsible for the intense coupling, i.e. extremely high correlation between bitcoin movement and alt coin movement (on a satoshi basis - I'm not talking about alt fiat value going up because bitcoin went up)? I think getting a better understanding of what bots are doing would be helpful for everyone investing in/trading cryptocurrencies. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Bank closed my credit accounts for buying crypto Posted: 24 Feb 2018 07:29 AM PST Posted this in the daily thread, but thought I'd warn others. Been a US Bank customer for 14 years, I have multiple checking accounts, a saving accounts, credit card, line of credit, a mortgage, never missed a payment. Last month I bought some ETH from Coinbase with my credit card and line of credit (since we'd just paid them off and I didn't want to have a zero balance). At first it was marked as fraud so I called and told them it was okay and it went through. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Feb 2018 03:14 AM PST Congratulations to the /r/cryptocurrency sub-Reddit for staying strong, even in a bear market. This is my home, and although many of you hate me, so many more of you tolerate me, and for that I am grateful. My goal here is to shine a light on all the bullshit scams, and the people who push them in the cryptocurrency universe. So allowing me to do that via this sub-Reddit has been an awesome experience so far, and I look forward to exposing even more trash going forward. I also look forward to learning from all of you, because when you wade through all the shill-shitcoin posts, there's so much good content on here to learn from. [link] [comments] |
