When crypto had its "Crash" it was the best thing that could have happened for me.

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 08:51 PM PST

When I first got into crypto it was an addiction. I would stare at Binance all day. At work at home wherever I would just stare and see if I was making or losing money. I would get happy or slightly sad depending on the day which was worry some. It felt like being on drugs or being hungover the next morning.

I started in October and my money was climbing quick which brought on the addiction.

But after I lost %60+ percent in like 5 or so days, I just stopped looking. Haven't traded at all just started Hodling and got back to my old life before crypto. I look at my crypto maybe once every 3 days on blockfolio and man it feels great. I was always stressed out about not making ridiculous gains each day, but now I couldn't care less if it goes up or down I just let it sit there.

Don't let crypto take over your life that is what I did and I am glad that January crash happened or I would just be glued to my computer screen at all times.

Cryptopia is having some serious problems. Upvote for exposure.

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 10:37 AM PST

Cryptopia is having a ton of problems processing withdrawals. Myself and many others have been trying to withdrawal ZCL in preparation for the fork in 9 days and way too many of the withdrawals have been processing or pending for a long long time.

Cryptopia is doing an awful job communicating. I'm demanding an update on these issues. What's the problem?

Edit: froufrou shared an update- https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/News

I'm sure that will make everyone feel better.

    Anyone els holding 0 BTC?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 08:22 PM PST

I currently hold eth, neo, icx, qash, jnt. I don't have any BTC. Thinking about buying some soon, maybe... but I'm more interested in the news and projects revolving around the coins I own... btc just doesn't excite me. Maybe it's because it's the most popular coin and I don't like following the herd mentality. I'm not tryna crap on btc, I know the price will rise and I sincerely hope it does. but I'm curious if this is common or not for crypto traders/holders to hold no BTC

Warning: CoinBase has not credited or reversed my $6000 wire transfer for 2 months...

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 09:19 PM PST

Just letting you guys know that if any little mix up happens with your name not matching or bank not matching, they will hold your money and never respond to your support tickets albeit with automated messages.

I sent a wire transfer on the 18th of December, made a support ticket a few days later when it wasn't credited, and since then have not gotten any help. Their hotline cannot answer any questions or help you other than telling you to e-mail their specialist.

Their specialist never responds to your e-mails, I have been e-mailing for 2 months, filed a CFPB on Jan. 9th and still nothing.

    My $6000 just disappeared.

I will be contacting a lawyer tomorrow to see what my options are. I can't believe it's even got to this point.

    Edit: Case ID is 3172183.

I had a lot of free time last weekend and I've decided to do something i didn’t do for a while : I stopped refreshing coinmarketcap and i focused on learning new things and finding opportunities. I decided to diving it and make top lists for few categories. Here we go:

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 09:21 AM PST

Disclaimer: I'm not a crypto guru or a professional trader. Just a normal guy with some free time and passion for crypto.

    5 useful crypto resources -

    1) Coin360: I find it kinda hard to follow all the coins every time i'm on my computer, it's fun to be a day trader but when you have so many coins it's becoming harder to track new opportunities.

This website visualizing all the cryptocurrency in a cool and easy way to understand. It's also looks freaking awesome and even if you're not trading you're friends will think you're trading pro lol

    https://coin360.io/

    2) Goingecko: Social growth + crypto = impact. I'm sure most of you know this website, I find it more useful than coinmarketcap for wathicng the different prices + how well the community behind the coin is doing.

    https://www.coingecko.com/en

    3) Crypto Panic: Great UX, and really useful. CryptoPanic help to save a lot of time by summarizing all the news related to cryptocurrency from dozens of websites, forums and social media. They have a really good free version, I signed up for the pro one for a month, just because I think it's nice to support crypto projects and it's kinda cheap compare to the value it brings.

    4) Crypto potato: I came across this website few times in the past but this weekend i really digg into it. It's written by few day traders that share many insights about crypto trading and really explaining from A-Z the fundamental of crypto trading.

    https://cryptopotato.com/

    5) CryptFlix: A great way to learn about the crypto market by watching videos in Netflix style. The crypto market is full of information and by categorizing hundred of videos related to crypto & blockchain these guys made learning about this market much more entertaining.

4 interesting ICO's: Invested only 2 times in ICO's so I'm not considering my self a pro in tracking the next x10 opportunity.

I'm just looking at the team, white paper, technology(I need to understand if there is any usage in their token), social media growth and that's it basically. If you have any tips please share it in the comment section. (I'm not putting a link so it won't consider as spam or promotion)

    1) Effect AI: This guys want to decentralize Amazon Mechanical Turk. I like the fact that they will cut the third party out of the equation and more money will go to the users. The team, social media, white paper seems legit.

    2) iOlite: This is a super not popular ICO yet but i found it fascinating. They basically like google translate for smart contracts. They want to make it easier for everyone to adopt smart contact by not writing them (Sound strange but it's brilliant). So it means that if a bank now want to implement blockchain in the system he don't need to recruit few smart contract developers, they can use their developers and just let them use iOlite technology.

I will keep an eye on their website and social media to check the progress.

    3) R_Block: Can you lie on your resume? of course you do. Can the employer catch you? Ofcourse he can. But what if they didn't have to do this? What if we could use blockchain in the recruitment world to make it more trustable for everyone? That's what this guys are trying to do. Good idea, interesting advisory board.

    4) Polyswarm: They have a cool concept. I will quote from their website "Think Bitcoin, but instead of mining, a global community of anti-malware experts compete to best detect today's threats." I never thought about this before but blockchain might help us to improve the cybersecurity world. It seems like PolySwarm team is experienced in this field, and i like the way they look.

I actually had 2 more ICO's i wrote in this list on the weekend and today while I was digging more into them I understood that it might not be a great opertinuty so the list got shorter :P

2 Crypto Influencers i never heard of until this weekend:

    1) Don Tapscott: I've watched his Ted Talk and I LOVE the way he speak and explain about blockchain and the crypto market. Link for his TED Talk: https://www.ted.com/talks/don_tapscott_how_the_blockchain_is_changing_money_and_business

    2) Nick Szabo: I've watched his video ' History of the blockchain' and enjoyed a lot!

    Extra:

Here you can find a list of many online companies that accept bitcoin:
