Full Litecoin Node -Running! *Support the network*

    Posted: 28 Jan 2018 09:34 AM PST

So with the help of /u/BlauDev/ I now have a Full Litecoin Node running to support the network. It was pretty fun setting up, I kinda new to Linux so maybe not as smooth as it could of been. LetsEncrypt setup and working fine.

The Node is also running /u/BlauDev/ monitoring tool which is great and shows you stats on the Node. Props to /u/BlauDev/ for the help on this and feels good to be supporting the network. This is running on my VPS.

Support the network now and setup a full node! No you don't get paid but for me this is to learn more about the network and support the future. The more Full Node's we have running for Litecoin the vision of decentralization becomes true.

Next up for sports targets: Tampa Bay Lightning ⚡️

    Posted: 27 Jan 2018 11:06 PM PST

I've posted this before, but I'll post it again.

Look at what we made happen with Javale McGee and the Golden State Warriors. Who knows where that will go.

Let's start a Twitter campaign to grab the Lightning's attention.

We're going to be THE payment coin. And we're gonna make it happen ourselves!

    Litecoin core question

    Posted: 28 Jan 2018 07:36 AM PST

So i am backing up my wallet and all i need to have is the dat file and the sending password

Is that enough? I cant seem to find a way for it to generate the 12 word pass phrase like in other wallets

Finally do i need to keep copying the new dat file whenever the wallet balance changes?

If you having syncing issues on electrum-ltc wallet in tails READ THIS!!! FAST, EASY, FIX!!!

    Posted: 28 Jan 2018 10:33 AM PST

When loading from terminal you notice a fallback the issue is that the missing ltc_scrypt forces electrum to the equivalent script written in Python (instead of the faster version in C++). The result is that it takes forever to process and verify the block chain (you'll notice the number of blocks is very low should be a number in the 100,000's). TO FIX THIS: (steps 1-4 are done on regular OS not tails) 1. Download, install, and run portable electrum-ltc from electrum website on USB thumbdrive. ( Windows or Mac version whatever system u use) 2. Load your wallet from seed then close. 3. Open usb drive use search bar in top right type BLOCKCHAIN, It should pull up blockchain_header file in the electrum-ltc data folder. 4. Copy the blockchain_headers file somewhere u can find easily on USB. 5. Open Tails 6. Open electrum-ltc folder in Tails persistence (not terminal, just folder) 7. Open electrum data folder 8. Delete the blockchain_headers file and replace it with one on your usb. Now smoke a fatty your all done! For all this guide has helped LTC donations are kindly appreciated I can provide you with LTC address just ask.

Can I re-use my existing blockchain files for a new installation of Litecoin Core Wallet?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2018 05:14 AM PST

    Hello.

I reformatted my PC and now I want to install the Litecoin Core Wallet.

During the installation, can I point the program to my existing folder with the "old" data? Will that work? Or do I need to download the whole blockchain again?

    Thanks.

    Coinbase transactions slightly off

    Posted: 28 Jan 2018 12:04 PM PST

I did some calculations and see something off. Isn't it amt purchase with - fee / price of ltc = amount of litecoin received? When I calculate it is off by the .0003. Is this suppose to happen?
