Metal Case - Blue Prints - 1080ti's - 6 Posted: 03 Jan 2018 07:11 AM PST Good Morning, Might anyone know where I can find the blueprints for a metal open air ming case? I am looking for one that ideally can support 6 1080 ti's, but will do the work on my end to remove / add space as needed, just need a guide. Thank you all Edit to add: I already am using wire racks to hang cards, I am looking for the ones you mount that I can stack. [link] [comments]
is anybody using the version 008S riser? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 06:46 AM PST For my next rig i'm planning to use the ver 008S riser. https://mintcell.com/ver-008s-pci-e-1x-to-16x-powered-riser-adapter-card-with-multiple-power-options-and-60cm-usb-3-0-extension-cable/ it has a 6 and 4 pin molex, so no sata issues or discussions anymore! is anybody using them? are they ok? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 08:13 AM PST I'm currently building a rig. Currently only have 4 1070ti but the motherboard supports up to 7. Would a dual psu set be better than one psu? I was looking at pick up a 1300W EVGA PSU. Would that be able to run all 7 if I wanted to down the road? Thanks [link] [comments]

Mining bios & drivers on gaming PC Posted: 03 Jan 2018 07:57 AM PST This has probably been asked before but I couldn't find anything in searching for it, so here goes. I'm planning on crossfiring 2 RX 580s in my main computer, and I'd like to mine with it as well (I had an older R9 270x in there, but I realized after setting up several mining rigs with 570s and 580s that I might as well upgrade my main computer while I'm at it). Does anyone run their gaming computer with mining bios and mining drivers? If so, how much of a hit do games take in framerate? Any other considerations before I swap things around? Thanks! Best gpu/cpu for Argon2 mining Posted: 03 Jan 2018 07:46 AM PST I was thinking about starting mining some argon2 coins (small ones). Which gpu/cpu can you recommend? [link] [comments]
Suggestions for overclocking nvidia rig. Posted: 03 Jan 2018 07:23 AM PST Hi all. Can you give me suggestions for overclocking to mine multi algo. I autoswitch between equihash, lyra2v2 and lyra2z according to profitability. My rig consists of 3x1070 and 2x1070ti. 1070 oc: 1885mhz boost clock 9008mhz mem clock Power limit to 120w ( the percentage is different because all cards not similar) 1070ti oc 1895 boost clock 8808mhz mem clock Power limit to 130w Now i am getting around 460-470sol/s on equihash for 1070 and 500-510sol/s for 1070ti. Lyra2v2 i get 36mh for each 1070 and 44mh for 1070ti. Lyra2z i get 1.6-1.7kh for 1070 and 2kh for 1070ti. The rig is running stable so far. Just one of my 1070ti is sometimes showing invalid solution in dstm Is this caused by current overclocking settings? Can someone suggest me how to increase hashrate and ensure stable overclock. Buy Nvidia cards now with Volta coming spring? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 07:21 AM PST Is it still worth it to buy nvidia gpus with the possiblility of volta coming in the spring (announcement coming sunday rumor) is it still a good idea to buy the current cards or wait some for the new ones. Thanks [link] [comments]

Pre-built Nvidia GPU miner for Linux? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 06:00 AM PST Hi all, I am looking for a new Nvidia GPU miner and ideally one that is pre-built / pre-compiled and I can just drop on my Linux machines and run. If it also mines using CPU, it will be a plus, but not absolutely necessary. I was using NiceHash EQM Zcash miner found here however it doesn't work any longer as its failing to connect to private.equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3329 and even its download link on the NiceHash website doesn't work anymore. Not sure why they've removed it, maybe it's not secure enough and they were concerned due to recent hack. I can't find anyone addressing this anywhere on the internet and even NiceHash themselves are not responding to emails about it or topics on their subreddit about it. Hoping someone can recommend something. EDIT: Please, no OSes. Literally something I can just upload, write down a wallet address and such and start mining. Can be CPU or GPU, though preferably both. EDIT: Tried EWBF for equihash, which worked for some time, but due to certain reasons I can't use it anymore. Anything similar to EWBF for equihash would be great though. Thanks [link] [comments]
Using dual molex to 8-pin pci-e safe? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 05:55 AM PST So I have a really old PSU laying around that has an 8 pin connector but does not fit into my Gtx 1070, I think the connector is outdated. It does have two molex connectors though. Is it safe to use a 2x molex to 8 pin connector to power the 1070? The plug would be something like this: Cable Matters (2-Pack) 8-Pin PCIe to 2x Molex Power Cable - 4 Inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DV1Z428/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ScotAbMDBRPQ0 And the PSU is a Corsair HX 620w [link] [comments]
Claymore Equihash getting very uneven h/s Posted: 03 Jan 2018 04:39 AM PST Hi all, I'm running Multipool miner on Mining Pool Hub and whenever an Equihash coin is being mined I'm getting very different hashrates on my 2 cards, a RX 480 and RX 570. See below, you'll see my RX 480 is pulling ~280h/s (nice) but my 570 is only getting ~145h/s. Both are modded BIOS on blockchain drivers. For reference, when mining on Ethash I'm getting normal Mh/s from the 570 (~27.5). Thoughts? Following are specs: GPU: 1x Sapphire RX 480 4g Nitro+, 1x Sapphire RX 570 4g Nitro+ Mobo: Asus Prime Z270-P PSU: Corsair HX 850w OS: Win10 Risers: none Software: Claymore (via MultiPoolMiner) OC Specs: 1500 bootstraps on both cards, 570: 1100/1950 -125mv 480: 1150/2150 -150mv [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jan 2018 03:39 AM PST Hi guys, I am about to build my first mining rig, but I dont know which GPUs should I buy I found these:
I have done some research and it seems that both should have about the same hashrate and same longevity, but the RX 580 8GB would probably have better resale value. I don't plan to sell them until they are not profitable to mine with anymore, at which point everyone will sell theirs. Any input is appreciated! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jan 2018 10:04 AM PST So I understand that I need to tax my mining income as self employment. However, I'm confused about at what rate will that be taxed. Is it taxed completely separate from my other income or will it be taxed at the same rate my other income is at? Also, can I deduct the cost of the mining hardware? If so can it only be deducted from my mining income or can it be deducted from my total income tax? [link] [comments]

Can I connect a PSU's 6-pin SATA or "SATA/PERIF" with a splitter to two PCI-E risers? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 02:39 AM PST I guess this has to be asked before, but i get lost in the questions and posts regarding power, PCI-E, risers and cables. I am going with an EVGA SuperNova 1600 P2 for mining, which has 6 "VGA" (8 pins) connectors. I am going to use a splitter to connect this to a 1070, which has two 6 pins connector, I believe this is fine and done a lot. Now for the PCI-E risers, the PSU has a couple of 6 pins with "SATA" and or "SATA/Perif". I am assuming its quite safe to split this with an Y cable and power two risers? Its labelled SATA but it should be safe right? Its now a direct SATA 15 pins cable, but a 6 pins connector. This is the PSU with its modular connections: https://s.maxict.nl/pnew/i/12463007/square/600/p.jpg And this is the cable I wish to use to power two PCI-E risers from one 6 pins connection from the PSU: Again, I am assuming the previous statement is fine, using a splitter for the 8 pins "VGA" connection, to power the actual GPU. Sorry if this has been asked before, its very confusing is all. Thanks in advance, a beginner miner [link] [comments]
Program for autorestarting miner when it crashes? Posted: 03 Jan 2018 02:37 AM PST Hi, my mining program crashes on first rig every few hours or so. Just the program no rig. I got 2x 1070 2x1080ti connected to 1kw evga g2 and separate psu for mobo. Ironicly my second rig which is literally the same with same gpus and windows instalation disk works fine. I tried googling but none of the programs i found either dont work or simply crash program or even whole rig (awesome miner crashes whole rig when connected to cc miner). Any recomendation? I went thru first page of google. edit: oc is 80 140 and 500 temps are around 65 [link] [comments]
Is a 1200watt PSU enough to power 6x1070ti rig? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:15 PM PST I know you are not supposed to get over 1000watt continuous load. My plan is to undervolt the cards to about 70% if possible. [link] [comments]

Temprature goes over limit set in Afterburner Posted: 03 Jan 2018 12:58 AM PST Hello. I am running 1 card 1070 ti (brand new card with updated drivers) mining on nicehash. I have underclocked the power to 70% - the max temprature is linked to the power so it is set to max 70 degrees. However, this morning, to my surprise the card was running at max max power 180 watts and the temprature was hovering around 79-80 degrees when mining lyra (i think). I monitored it for several hours before this happened with no issues. Anyone know why this could happen? Thank you. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jan 2018 12:51 AM PST Bought 2 MSI 1070ti titanium cards on the first for $489/ea, got the shipping notice and logged in to check tracking, only to see the price had gone up $30 and the quantity limit is now one. Whew! 😳 made it by this much Sorry guys. [link] [comments]
