Posted: 31 Dec 2017 10:51 PM PST While seeing the expected crash in XVG and people's reaction to it, I realized something: most people who didn't sell are just heavy bag holders who would lose lots of money if they sold now. So they will be like workers for the XVG scam devs. They will shill the shit out of verge to get newcomers to buy this scam so that the price increase and their losses minimizes. And the devs knows this, that's why the keep making those joke deadlines. To get people excited while their „workers" get new people to buy it. And these new buyers will then become the new workers when Wraith don't get released again. And I am pretty sure the people who shilled it last days were just people who bought it when it was more expensive. And this scheme is what drives the whole project. So to the newcomers here, don't buy into this shitcoin and sell immediately if you bought some believe me the devs are fuckin' bastards and liars. They never intend to release just look at their last commits: only some GUI adjustments and revert commits. They lied to you in the face and I am pretty sure they are laughing about you right now while they made millions out of you. Don't help these fucked up scammers, without you they would be just bad coders which wouldn't even get a job as a software developer. Sell even with losses and invest in good coins. Before the others do it and you lose even more. [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Dec 2017 05:20 AM PST I know this isn't the right subreddit for this, and that a lot of people are just gonna say that we should've never used Coinbase or GDAX, but this problem goes far beyond the normal issues. A transfer from an external wallet/platform to GDAX appeared in all of our Coinbase accounts, and then said that it transferred successfully to our GDAX accounts, but then never showed up in our GDAX accounts. So it would appear our money is gone, because our balances are zero. We've all opened tickets with support with absolutely no responses, posted on their subreddit, and called to only be on hold for hours without any help. I really don't know what else to do except try to get us on the front page of a bigger crypto community. More details about this issue are here https://www.reddit.com/r/CoinBase/comments/7mx88o/urgent_coinbase_to_gdax_transfer_disappeared/?st=JBUBPP35&sh=a19f1463 Thank you so much for your help to anybody who can spare an upvote to bring some attention to this. If anybody from Coinbase finally wants to help, my support ticket number is 3221822 UPDATE: Still nothing from anyone at Coinbase/GDAX- I'll keep updating if anything changes, thank you everyone for helping bring attention to this UPDATE: there's a comment response from the Coinbase CEO, basically saying they'll get to our tickets. Since I doubt they'll respond (and my balance is still 0 on GDAX so basically this whole issue was still not enough to fix our problem) - here's my response: What proof do I have that my coins are not lost? My balance on GDAX is 0. This kind of thing should be a priority issue and you need to shut down your site until you can fix it if people are getting balances of 0 on GDAX with an automatic send to their wallet transfer from Coinbase to GDAX like this. I'm even more frustrated that with 3.5k upvotes and a response, my LTC balance is still 0 from an error on their side. [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Dec 2017 11:34 PM PST Hello all, Just downloaded the latest code of Verge. https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/releases/tag/4.0. It is literally stealth addresses. Tor is there but i think that it needs to be run as a separate process. I am not confident on the implementation as many thing are hard coded. This has been rushed a lot. The code will need serious updating for future maintenance/improvement. In any case, there ISN'T ledger obfuscation so.. whatever... the "wraith protocol" is bs as many have prophesized. So... yeh privacy 0, annonymity 0 BUT extremely high hype. EDIT: MASSIVE ISSUES https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/issues/186 Balances disappearing when trying to use a stealth address. Wallet cannot be opened due to cryptographic mismatch. https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/issues/184 Gui is unfinished EDIT 2: Comedy on github - https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE/issues/180 Edit 3: Upon further investigation we have found out that the implementation of stealth addresses is backported from shadowcoin (2014).. and is not even done properly. LMAO [link] [comments]
AI coins like DBC will take over the market in 2018. Posted: 31 Dec 2017 04:57 PM PST AI blockchains have been gaining a lot of speed recently. DBC is definitely one of those coins to look out for, backed by a real company with real products, it really can't fail. It's not some vapourwave like a lot of the coins in the top 100 are. Also NEO ICOs have been absolutely killing it lately, definitely a big year coming for a lot of NEO related tokens like RPX, DBC, CPX, etc. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2018 02:50 AM PST When the voting began yesterday, one of the selected coins "Experince Points" already had 600 votes within the first 10 minutes indicating some kind of strange activity for a coin that very few had heard of, trading mostly on coinexchage.io and before 15th December was below 1 satoshi in price. On digging, the XP team seems to be directly offering bounties for all of them to vote: https://i.imgur.com/OtOslwn.png (The post is from their marketing manager and admin on Discord) On the other hand the XRB team has refused to even tweet about the vote and they said its a community effort and not something the core team should get involved with. Also it seems that XP plans to brigade the votes during the end of the voting phase. The comments from Lexicoin ("Lead Programmer") and team members seem to indicate they are ready with the BNB coins but are waiting for the last moment https://i.imgur.com/SBWQWUo.png
https://i.imgur.com/GXByEVi.png Their XP community has planned to not vote now, but at the last moment, to catch us by surprise. When the voting ends, the time zone is in their favour (afternoon in Japan) while its 4 AM in the US. They have clearly taken this into account We need to make the XRB vote count go up to atleast 70k (the same count that was voted top in the last Binance Community voting). So please get in there and cast your votes! Thank you and Happy new year yall! [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Dec 2017 10:27 AM PST Cryptocurrency shouldn't be about HODL!!!1!, it should be about tech. If people want it to actually take off, you need to spend it to create a stable currency. This shouldn't be looked at as an investment, it should be looked at as the future that happens to be an investment. Which goes back to not buying more than you can lose. [link] [comments]
