Worried about a penny? You don't understand XRP's value.

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:22 PM PST

Please, do an extensive amount of reading about the world financial system and about Ripple's goals before you decide to declare that XRP can't be worth more than X amount.

For reference, the world remittance market is what Ripple is after. Note that India alone received almost $70b in 2015:

    Arriving at $1.43 per XRP

Guys, email all exchanges & banks not currently having XRP/Ripple! Let's speed up the process;)!

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 03:03 PM PST

    1. Exchanges: Aruge why they should adopt XRP in a notepad. Banks: https://ripple.com/files/xrp_cost_model_paper.pdf link this document to banks along with informational links from Ripples website. Highlight the need to replace swift & the benefits ripple + xrp will bring to the world = no more printed money + harder for criminal activity from the bigger banks in a world where usd will be replaced.
    2. search for exchanges that don't have xrp
    3. find contact support / email to workers / twitter accounts
    4. copy paste from notepad and send ____________________________________________________
    5. search for the top 100 biggest banks in the world... Find out which doesn't support Ripple or xrp
    6. find email adresses, twitter accounts, contact support function
    7. copy from notepad and send

How would banks using XRP bump up its price?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:26 PM PST

I can understand how the Arrington's XRP hedge fund would work; folks put money in to get XRP price goes up. (Or am I wrong here) But why would banks using it bump up the price?

From the simplistic way I see it, Bank A buys XRP, immediately sends it to Bank B, who exchanges back to fiat. Given the large amount of XRP in the market that's nary going to bump up the coin's price by much for a scant few seconds.

Any thoughts on this? I've read through the ripple.com's XRP section, but not really picking up how it really works.

How can XRP ever be worth more than cents?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 12:49 PM PST

Newer to Ripple here and I recently have done some research, all which leads me to believe that Ripple as a business has incredible value and will only continue to have success. The one question that remains for me to answer is if XRP will increase in value, something which I find hard to believe. If it is simply the vehicle to bank transfers, why would it ever be worth more than cents? Why would banks care to use XRP if in future years if XRP costs, for example, $10 and ACHs or Swift transfers are similarly priced?

I understand that the speed and security of Ripple are incredibly valuable factors that shouldn't be overlooked, but I find it hard to believe that XRP would ever cost more than a few dollars to keep bank transfers competitively priced.

I wish I could invest in the company itself...

Confused about the Ledger Nano S

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 03:35 PM PST

So i'll just explain this one. I got my Ledger a few days ago, i installed the Ripple wallet program on my computer. And loaded my Ripple from Bittrex on there. It showed up really fast!

Here is my confusion about the Ledger, when i install the Ripple wallet program on my other computer and plug my Ledger on, it does NOT show my balance.. It does sign in but doesn't show anything. As far as i know the Ripple "private key" is being stored on the Ledger, so i should be able to see my balance anywhere.. right?

I hope you guys can help me out.

    Recommendations on storing XRP

    Posted: 01 Dec 2017 09:01 PM PST

    Hey all,

I have a question about the best way to store XRP.

    I have the following options:

GateHub I've read that this is the best way to purchase XRP, however, I just moved to a new place so I can't get my account verified since my ID is from a different state and I don't have a utility bill to show proof of residency. Also I don't feel comfortable uploading my tax return to their website.

However, I could transfer BTC to my GateHub wallet and by XRP with it.

Binance That's another platform that allows me to buy XRP and the fees are really low. I'm just not so sure about their security.

MetaMask I've been thinking in converting my BTC through Evercoin and storing my XRP's on MetaMask.

I'm personally leaning more towards the last option, but I would like to hear you guys opinions and maybe other ways that are safe as well

    Thanks in advance.
