Mistakenly sent my Litecoins to my Bitcoin address on my Trezor! Posted: 03 Dec 2017 10:34 AM PST So, I was moving BTC and LTC off of GDAX to my Trezor and accidentally sent a large number of LTC to my BTC address. I then spent hours trying to figure out how GDAX/Coinbase screwed up and pretty much had a sleepless night and spent all morning looking for solutions (most of which look overwhelming). Then, thanks to Reddit, I found a comment buried in a thread pointing out that Trezor has a new coin recovery feature - https://trezor.io/recover-coins/ Worked like a charm and only took 2 seconds!! Also, it was my fault, because I had just copied my BTC address to move those. When I moved on my Trezor to the "Receive" tab for my LTC address, I must have highlighted, but not hit copy (it was late). So, I pasted that as the send to address at GDAX. Derp. I felt the future shifting today. Posted: 02 Dec 2017 04:27 PM PST So I went to my bank today with some rolls of coins from my long-ago piggy bank (wish I had bought BTC/LTC with it long ago!) and I come to find that the bank has to ship it off and have it processed before it hits my account! I couldn't believe it! The US dollar has become so inflationary it doesn't even profit the bank anymore to transact in US coins! I was also there to get a safety deposit box to store a hardware wallet. Can't sell my LTC if I can't access my LTC amirite? As I was putting the wallet in there I realized that should I so desire, I could store 50% of my net worth on what is really just an advanced USB drive. If my wife and I wanted to leave the country with a large amount of assets we could do so with ease. We couldn't do that with cash and my wallet can't be frozen or seized. I feel elated to a part of a significant shift in to a new technological age of money but it also makes me concerned that big banking will not go down without a fight. Deep pockets and power don't yield easily so be vigilant and HODL brothers and sisters! [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2017 10:34 AM PST So I just bought a lite coin and its sitting in my coin base. I read to not keep it there and in a wallet. I downloaded Electrum-LTC. Is this any good? Which type of wallet do I make (standard, multi-signature, watch litecoin adresses)? And do I still make money if my litecoin sits in the wallet? Anything else that would be helpful is appreciated! Posted: 03 Dec 2017 09:48 AM PST If you're comfortable with it, would you post your age, and any other simple info, like gender or state (No names) in the comments? I want to get a general sense of who's embracing this Cryptocurrency world Thanks so much to anyone and everyone that does! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Dec 2017 06:36 PM PST I started investing into Litecoin about 3 weeks ago and currently into 4 litecoins and still hodling while putting in a portion of my salary into litecoin to see if it can take us to the moon. And damn, I have to say this is one of the most supportive and friendly communities I have ever seen, almost every post has some love put into it and we are rapidly growing. You guys are awesome, many of you are extremely helpful and I have seen so many instances of long timers helping out newbies into how they can get started with Litecoin. It's absolutely amazing, you guys keep doing you and remember, keep hodling ;) [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Dec 2017 11:13 AM PST It was a minimalistic tee or hoodie and some other shit that said "NOW WE HODL" i can't find the link and i wanna cop it... p.s. Bank Transfers for Litecoins in Canada? Safest payment methods? Posted: 03 Dec 2017 11:03 AM PST Basically, I want to purchase litecoins, I'm in Canada, I've heard of many Canadian Bitcoin vendors, I'm not sure of their reputability. I'm looking for bank transfers because they have fewer fees. Anyone heard of any/have experience? [link] [comments]
Report losses along with taxes Posted: 03 Dec 2017 08:08 AM PST So if I have to pay taxes on my profits if I cash out can I report the 665 litecoin stolen from me as a loss because the exchange ( liteguardian) went poof? That would certainly reduce what I pay I would think. [link] [comments]

What is the best and most secure hardware wallet for Litecoin? Posted: 03 Dec 2017 03:24 AM PST Some background: I got into mining litecoin some 6 years ago when litecoin was pretty much worthless and ran my miner for ~1 year off and on. I ended up with exactly 50.12472346 LTC. Things got really busy in my life after that point and I ended up just copying my wallet's .DAT file up to my unlinked dropbox account to avoid losing it due to a computer crash or similar. Well, now that litecoin has broken $100 I've re-installed the Litecoin Wallet and downloaded the .DAT file and I'm happy to say I still have all of my litecoin. Can you guys let me know what a good hardware wallet with super strong security would be so I can invest in one? Also any other information regarding best practices for maintaining any kind of backup on paper (if possible) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Will Litecoin price stagnate on $100? Posted: 03 Dec 2017 10:27 AM PST It seems like many people don't want to pay more than $100 for these coins right now. Will the price stagnate? (short term). Could align with 10k Bitcoin. [link] [comments] |
