I wrote this Android portfolio app to keep track of my mining profits automatically Posted: 14 Dec 2017 07:45 PM PST I got sick of updating Blockfolio every hour/day/week to reflect my mining profits, so I wrote a portfolio app that monitors addresses. Also I made it beautiful. See for yourself. CryptoCurrent - Address Monitoring Coin Portfolio The following coins are supported for Live Address Monitoring: ARK, BAT, BCH, BTC, CVC, DASH, DOGE, EOS, ETH, FUN, GAS, GNO, GNT, ICN, LTC, MCO, MONA, NEO, OMG, QTUM, REP, XRP, ZEC, and ZEN. Everything on coinmarketcap is supported for fixed amounts. The app is free, but if you want to monitor more than one address it's a one-time unlock for $1.99. I'll add more coins for you if you provide a public blockchain API and forward me your email receipt. That's a great deal. You'll never get a developer to do anything special for you for $1.99 :) [link] [comments]
Is there any way to ensure good memory brand? Posted: 15 Dec 2017 07:48 AM PST I'm ordering 6 Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce OC cards, and I have heard that you REALLY want Micron or Samsung memory. Does anyone have this card? Is it on of those two? Is there anyway I can tell which cards are? [link] [comments]
Low performance from a 1080Ti on Claymore, what am I doing wrong? Posted: 15 Dec 2017 07:41 AM PST Hello everybody, I'm reposting this according to rule 5, which I didn't follow entirely in my previous post. Sorry about that! Hey guys so I've been wanting to do this for a long time and tonight I finally got around to do it.. I have a gaming rig which I can't use too much during the day so I wanted to start the mining experience, also because I've been wanting to buy ETH for some time but it's so hard with all the websites like Coinbase having issues with verifications etc.. Anyways, I think I set up everything correctly but when I started I was getting just 28 Mh/s, so I tried reinstalling drivers, overclocking via Afterburner and closing some stuff... And now I get 22 Mh/s. I know it should get around 30-33 stock and more than that overclocked so... It actually seems like the card slows down when I open Claymore, the temp never rises and the clock goes down. What am I doing wrong? Please see this screenshot and let me know if you need more info. Thanks so much! Edit: I forgot to mention that closing Afterburner actually increases the hashrate, that makes no sense to me...It seems like it deactivates the Boost somehow, could that be? When I open Afterburner the clock is 1569 Mhz without overclock, but as soon as I open Claymore it clocks down to under 1000Mhz, no matter if I OC it or not. I just don't get it! I don't have any problems with OC'ing during gaming. Edit2: I left it running for a few hours (non OC'd) and after a while it looked like it reached 30-32, which should be normal for stock, but it still doesn't explain why OC'ing it clocks it down. The temp never go above 50-55 even with low fans, and I actually wouldn't mind it being even a bit hotter since it's winter here. GPU: Asus Strix 1080 Ti Mobo: Asus Z97-A PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2 OS: Windows 7 x64 Software: Claymore OC specs: see the screenshot, but it doesn't really matter what I do there.. Posted: 15 Dec 2017 07:14 AM PST For those who own EVGA cards, do you use EVGA's overclocking utility or do you stick with MSI afterburner? [link] [comments]
Suprnova earnings vs. whattomine targets vs. SMOS reported hashrates Posted: 15 Dec 2017 06:42 AM PST Hi all, Here's my setup; GIGABYTE Z270P-D3 mobo, INTEL CELERON G3930, 2 x ZOTEC GTX 1080 TI AMP EDITION, 1 X ZOTEC GTX 1070 TI MINI, EVGA SUPERNOVA 1000 G2, NO RISERS USED; DIRECTLY IN PCI-E, SMOS, STOCK CLOCKING FOR NOW Is it common for my hashrate on Suprnova to be less then reported on SMOS? SMOS always reports my rig hashing around 1850 sols which is inline with whattomine but Suprnova doesn't have my rig consistently hashing at 1850 sols. whattomine reports I should be earning over 0.4 ZenCash per day but I always hover around .34 or .35 according to Suprnova. I have been using the DSTM miner w/ SMOS. Should I look at using a different pool? or possibly the EWBF miner? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Dec 2017 04:40 PM PST Hey Guys, building a rig currently. The Rises i have, use 6 pin powering method, I've read that based on the amount of cards I'm running I likely Shouldn't use a sata adapter to power them Currently have a 6 1080 rig. My question is can I use the extra 6 pin connector from the 8 to 6(2) and 6 cord to power my risers? Meaning the 6+2 goes to my gpu, and the 6 goes to the riser, or should i get my own cord for each riser like the 8 to 6 x 6? [link] [comments]
4xVega Rig completed thanks everyone! :) Posted: 14 Dec 2017 06:06 PM PST Just fired up my rig i have been working on for the last couple of days. 3x Liquid V64-s 1x V56 PSU: EVGA 1300w PSU MOBO : B250 The 64-s barely have any sound, PSU is kinda loud whith its humming, but the one 56 is like a jet engine :D. They are pulling 950-1000W with a 7850 h/s tweaked in OverdriveNTool. Was doing around 8200 with tweaking a bit around in wattman, but it was pulling around 1300. Thanks for everyone who helped me, it was my first time putting a PC together from the ground up, im quite happy with the result. [link] [comments]
SSH or other remote restart equipment/programs Posted: 15 Dec 2017 03:57 AM PST Using SMOS for 6 rigs now. I have a problem child rig that will no OFF from time to time and no amount of reboots or restarts will bring him up. Only a physical reset seems to right it. I know SMOS has some sort of equipment for this, but no real guide on it as far as I can find. Honestly, Im a bit hesitant to order proprietary equipment like this that I couldn't take elsewhere if needed. Is there a bigger, well known solution i'm missing? [link] [comments]
GPU Mining and Bios Modding Guide Posted: 14 Dec 2017 09:48 AM PST Hello, I would like to share with everyone my guide for mining Ethereum/Monero and GPU BIOS modding, www.mining.help It features: It will drastically reduce your power draw, you will get maximum stable hashrate and reduce the risk of your GPU being damaged to almost zero. If it helps you please send a donation to my ethereum wallet: 0xC3935595660f16A6549EFd3263673C6a2fb25327 [link] [comments]
Latest AMD driver update increased hashrates Posted: 14 Dec 2017 09:19 PM PST You might've known that AMD released their new drivers lately. I was surprised to see my hashrate increase. I have one RX480 8Gb: ETH+Sia: Before 18 + 550 After 21 + 600 Zcash Before 240-250 After 300-310 All these are using the Graphics setting. The new Compute preset says that it can increase hashrates by ~5% All values are estimates. No OC. [link] [comments]
Do you buy your graphic card from Newegg? Posted: 15 Dec 2017 05:20 AM PST I just found out that the refund policy from Newegg for graphic card is a replacement only!!! So because of this policy do you guys stay away from Newegg when buying a GPU card? Also what happen if you buy a card, then it's bad, return it. But Newegg has no inventory to replace your bad card? Are they still keeping your money, or will they refund your money then? [link] [comments]
Seasonic Prime 1200w Gold Power Supply max power usage?? Posted: 14 Dec 2017 10:21 PM PST Hi all. Currently running a 7x GTX1070 rig with a Seasonic Prime 1200w gold PSU. On Kill-A-Watt it shows Im sucking 950w average at 75% for each card. My question is, is this a safe power level and what would be the max? I wanna try and push the cards to 80% but it might go over 1000w and I heard you want to keep it at 80% of max power rating. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Dec 2017 09:47 PM PST Is there any reason not to buy a bunch (24) of 570 4gb cards now in regards to etherum DAG size increases? Will the memory size become prohibitive for dual mining and if so, would it warrant getting either a 1060 6gb instead or a 570 8gb, considering both are 30-50 euro more expensive? how to best use two old mining rigs Posted: 14 Dec 2017 08:29 PM PST i have 2 old mining rigs which i used for dogecoin running unix out of a USB. Components: Cards:
Mobo: Asus a97 r2.0 anything i could use these for? I am having a hard time finding any useful info. any help is appreciated! [link] [comments]
Is it usually worth upgrading Nvidia drivers? Posted: 14 Dec 2017 07:44 PM PST With my AMD drivers it's typical to stay on blockchain or some older drivers. Do you guys just update with every new Nvidia driver? [link] [comments]
Mining rack shelf custom wiring clamps Posted: 14 Dec 2017 06:27 PM PST so a couple of weeks ago there was a post from a guy who 3D printed a couple of rack shelf mount brackets. High demand for them as you can see from the comments. However, haven't heard from the guy in 2 weeks since I originally messaged him. Probably got busy with life or something I suppose. Anyways, just wondering if anyone with a 3D printer could create something similar? I'd be willing to pay about $10-15 for 20-25 of them [link] [comments]

How to estimate hashrate for a given GPU? Posted: 14 Dec 2017 09:10 PM PST I'm totally new to mining and I'm just getting into Monero. This seems to be a good currency to begin mining with right now, and I've read a lot on the subject, but I can't seem to find out how to estimate the hashrate capability of a given GPU. Is there a way to do this, or should I simply buy the best GPUs I can afford and empirically calculate the hashrate of the rig itself? [link] [comments]
If buying a single CPU/ GPU 1070 TI or 1080 Posted: 14 Dec 2017 04:59 PM PST I asked a question on here yesterday about upgrading a graphics card in an old computer for my 15 year old son to use for gaming and to learn mining. It looks like that is not an option as I can't find a GPU that needs less than the 220w power supply that computer has so it now looks like we are looking at buying him a gaming computer. Since he will use it for gaming and learning mining which is better GPU to get 1070 TI or the 1080. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Proper way to power 6pin riser? Sata adapter or 8pin to 6pin cable? Posted: 14 Dec 2017 08:29 PM PST I got old riser from friend which use SATA to 4pin. They were really unstable with my 1070Tis I bought 1x to 16x Riser Card with 6pin power sock. These new riser also came with SATA adapter. Should I still power these riser with SATA cable (which is 6 pin on PSU side) & adapter. Or I can power them directly from the 8pin to 6+2pin cable? Thank you [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Dec 2017 03:31 PM PST I want to buy a metal or wood rack, the kind with dowels in between. Should I get metal or wood, and if I just lay the GPU on top of them will that be sufficient airflow? And the metal won't short out the back of the card right? I would be laying them down with the fans on top obviously. I saw it in a video and think I like it more than my current set up. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
