Bittrex sells USDT via wire transer... can't that be an explanation as to where the $1B came from?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 10:32 PM PST

    https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001293992-Purchase-USDT-via-Wire-Transfer

Bittrexx is one of the top 400 websites in the entire world: https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bittrex.com

They have been advertising USDT for sale via wire transfers since the 27th of August 2017.

Why does everybody expect or assume that tether is a total scam?

Is it really that tough to imagine $1B of wire transfers coming into bittrex in an attempt to purchase obscure alts (and BTC/ETH/etc) and profit later on?

    Legal action against Coinbase Company

    Posted: 17 Dec 2017 09:37 AM PST

I've been locked out of Coinbase (CB) for over two weeks because my Google Authenticator app keeps giving "invalid code" on login. I've tried every suggested remedy given by both CB and Google, all to no avail. I've heard nothing back from CB other than their computer generated response..."sorry high volume, etc." and have spent hours on hold with no answer on their phone line. In the meantime I'm unable to logon to the CB website, let alone do anything with my account. Coinbase's FB page has hundreds who are having similar issues without resolution. I'm now considering legal counsel and action. Is there anyone here who has suggestions on how to proceed?

    Bitcoin to $1,000,000?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 01:48 PM PST

Can we start a dialogue on Bitfinex/tether’s possible collapse and how it can potentially impact the price of not just bitcoin but all of crypto?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 10:26 AM PST

From my understanding Bitfinex is only responsible for .3% of the marker share but irregardless of that, they can still have a large impact on artificially keeping the price afloat. Any time I read about the situation it's basically accepted as a scam that in only a matter of time will crumble. So with that being the premise, when it does, how big or Little will that impact bitcoin price and overall market sentiment? Not trying to spread FUD, rather, I'm trying to combat it with intelligent conversation between those with experience in the space.

Parabolic Trav on Twitter: "We're in the elevator now! Think we can do the whole move [to $22K-$36K by Dec 31]?"

Has anyone ever seen this price "prediction" site?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 09:38 PM PST

Looks like it makes some kind of automated five-year predictions for commodities including several coins.

    https://longforecast.com/bitcoin-price-predictions-2017-2018-2019-btc-to-usd

I'm not asking if it is something necessarily to take serious, just wondering if anyone has ever heard of it and knows anything about its methods.

Where is the BEST place to buy bitcoin from with USD

    Posted: 17 Dec 2017 04:49 AM PST

Coinbase just gave me a $14.28 fee on a 28 dollar bitcoin transaction so I'm kind of done with them. Also If they are US based that would be amazing. Because my bank doesn't let me use my card for coinbase and I have always had to resort to a credit card

Bitcoin regulation : Optimal country / State

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 07:55 PM PST

    Hello,

I am gathering some data to build a data-set from different people and wonder if you have a minute to answer my questions :

You are a Bitcoin / Crypto user, and you are in need to use a service provided by a company, let's say an exchange, or payment processor, wallet or any kind of tool you absolutely need. For the sake of this example, let's say you can not find any other alternative and you are forced to use THAT service

    Question :

    • Based on your country of residence, you would trust a company registered in which country ? and why ?

*-> Example : I am American and I would trust a US exchange because of regulations.

    Simplest monitor for multiple coins?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 05:16 PM PST

Hi i have 5 different coins now and currently use coin.fyi to check the status. However I really like preev for its ultra simplicity. Just wish i could view multiple coins at once.

So, to sum it up. Is there something even simpler than coin.fyi with big and clear numbers?

thank you very much in advance

Can’t help but it feels like cheating when forks keep being created

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 03:20 PM PST

It makes people dump altcoins just to grab the forked Bitcoin (whatever) coins. Sure, it makes people money, but it sure doesn't seem healthy for the industry. When is this practice going to be stopped? Are people in the industry even considering this to be an issue or they generally brush it off?

How to trade in a partnership?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 04:22 PM PST

Is it possible to set up a joint account or trade as a business partnership on any of the major exchanges? Would an LLC work? Does anyone have any experience trading as a business or partnership instead of as an individual?

    Bitfinex no new accounts?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 03:41 PM PST

Bitfinex has been saying it is not opening new accounts due to DDoS attacks, for the past two days. Do DDoS attacks usually last this long?

Anyone else having this problem? Any alternative (reputable) markets to get IOTA?

So how would we all get dollars back from coinbase?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2017 04:53 PM PST

I'm new (like most) to bitcoin and experimenting with it. Fascinated by how quick the price has risen since I bought it, less than a month ago. Now I'm in no particular rush but I'm curious as to how Coinbase would be able to pay significant dollars back even to just a few investors who have decided it's time to cash out. I mean, if I spend $7000 for a bitcoin and less than a month later it's $19,000, how does Coinbase get the $19,000?

(NB, I realize others are continuing to buy into the market with dollars but it seems to me that it wouldn't take too many investors to want to pull out to completely blow up Coinbase)
