Just taking a moment and saying thanks/sharing my experience. This movement is fucking awesome.

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 11:35 PM PST

Long time lurker, 2nd post, 1st thread. I've been around since summer of last year when my friend and I discovered Ethereum. We looked into bitcoin, said meh, saw the use case for Ethereum and got hooked. I started out as a GPU miner of alt coins. Upon finding Bitcoin Cash and it's message, I was again hooked. I've invested directly in it and I'm trying to do my part, I have a business in hospitality procurement (buying things that go inside of hotels) and I'm working with my partners to go to hotel brands about allowing hotels to accept crypto as payment (one of my business partners owns quite a few hotels). It may bear fruit, it may go nowhere but i could care less. It's about leveraging your own capabilities to in the attempt to show love for something you believe in. I love the movement and the people within it, not only for Bitcoin Cash but for crypto as a whole. We're still so early on in this ride folks, love and acceptance goes way further than hate and disapproval. Have a kickass week.

    TLDR:

    1. Just happy to be a part of this
    2. Show your love for the movement in your own way
    3. Peace, love, n crypto (rock n roll is awesome too)

Making the move to Bitcoin Cash!

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 10:54 PM PST

For the past 3 years I have been heavily involved in Bitcoin and what it stands for but the past year I have been feed up with the high fees and long waiting times im now making to the move to Bitcoin Cash as I think it will be more beneficial for me. I am really enjoying these low fees I dont have to worry about changing wallets and losing my investment because of the high fees. Thank you Bitcoin Cash

The Bitcoin Whitepaper is stored inside the Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash blockchain

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:53 PM PST

I'm not sure if this has been discussed but something to point out back in 2013 the Bitcoin whitepaper was uploaded into the Bitcoin blockchain to be stored forever. The transaction containing this pdf is 54e48e5f5c656b26c3bca14a8c95aa583d07ebe84dde3b7dd4a78f4e4186e713. This transaction is also in the history of Bitcoin Cash. Earlier that same day the code to upload and download the pdf and other data was uploaded into the blockchain in transactions 4b72a223007eab8a951d43edc171befeabc7b5dca4213770c88e09ba5b936e17 and 6c53cd987119ef797d5adccd76241247988a0a5ef783572a9972e7371c5fb0cc respectively.

I spent the better part of 3 months developing some tools to find neat things like this and be able to extract them correctly. This use of the technology is not feasible with the current state of Bitcoin and has been shown by cryptograffiti.info now supporting Bitcoin Cash.

    You Guys Seem Great

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 11:48 PM PST

I gotta say, I have been visiting the other sub and it is all circlejerk memes and complete downvoting of anyone that goes against the bitcoin narrative. While I can appreciate cryptocurrencies, I am also not rooting for it to destroy fiat in the way they are because then many people will lose. Essentially, those that were poor will be crippled and I enjoy seeing crypto increase but also do not want to destroy the lives of a majority of people.

While that sub is all circlejerking and I have never owned bitcoin cash (missed out on the fork, but such is life), you guys seem reasonable and I have enjoyed reading the discussions. This is what the other sub should be and I am loving this. Of course, I love seeing the coins rise in value but I also love the thoughtful discussions and open-mindedness you guys have.

    Bitcoin Cash Merchant Adoption Blitzkrieg - Day 2 - 5 Dec 2017

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 08:31 PM PST

Continuing on our group /r/btc Bitcoin Cash adoption push from yesterday, today we're going to focus on Stripe. Stripe are a large payment processor operating in many countries. They already accept Bitcoin so it should not be too much of a stretch to ask them to support Bitcoin Cash as well. Getting them on board will enable Bitcoin Cash purchases on a large number of places online.

    Here's our plan for today:

    • Register for a Twitter account if you don't already have one (remember to confirm your email).

    • Visit the Accept Bitcoin Cash website's Payments section (or search for Stripe).

    • Click on the Twitter icon for Stripe and send them a tweet or alternatively send them a message on Facebook. If you were really keen and have plenty of free time on your hands you could email them. Feel free to change up the message to add your own reasons why they should support Bitcoin Cash. Note: Let's keep all communications genuine and professional though to keep a good impression.

    • Optionally report back here when you've tweeted.

For future posts we have on the list: Amazon, Braintree, Netflix, Newegg, Square, Uber. Feel free to post suggestions for next time in the comments.

BITSTAMP ADDING BITCOIN CASH TRADING TOMMOROW

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 11:27 AM PST

I'm creating a hard fork of the bitcoin network called bcash, which means Bitcoin Cash and bcash are forever two separate things.

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:13 AM PST

The chief difference of bcash is that it uses a green logo (tilted at 45°) and has 0.3 MB block sizes. I intend to study the effects of artificially constrained block space to get a better idea of the challenges facing all blockchains.

I guess Bitcoin's best attempt at a scaling solution is to use a different coin. Litecoin. You can't argue with stupid.

Bcash coin to launch with Zcash privacy features and Bitcoin's blockchain

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 03:56 PM PST

Just introduced my father to BCH with a $0.003 fee and money showed in his wallet in less than 5 seconds

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 01:25 PM PST

Confirmed in next block. He will now start accepting BCH in his webshops, as the payment solutions he use today charges 1% of the transaction, or takes days to show in his bank account.

Roger ver has really done a lot for the bitcoin community and doesn't deserve the hate he's getting

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 02:44 AM PST

Feel really sorry for this guy, he has really dedicated his heart and soul into this project and only to be mocked and made fun of, absolutely disgusting.

EDIT: wow didn't expect to get so many up-votes, I guess I just wanted to say that we should all just focus on improving bitcoin and to not resort to personal attacks which is what some from core have been doing, very viscously I might add. Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin

I don't even hold bitcoin cash but how anyone can sub to r/bitcoin over this one is beyond me

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 07:17 AM PST

Just look at the fucking state of that subreddit. Full of memes, bait threads, shit reaction gifs and a massive circle jerk fest all over. To the normal person it looks like one giant pyramid scheme community.
