[Evidence] Dismissing the myth that XRP will not be used by Banks

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 12:04 PM PST

Let's buy Ripple now and make a history . I just converted all my bitcoin to Ripple XRP now. Good luck.

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 06:32 PM PST

    It's happening, ladies and gentlemen.

Finally cashed out all other coins, all in on XRP, time to invest in something I believe in.

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 10:56 AM PST

I've put a bit here and there into other coins, mostly there just to make a quick turnaround and get out, but Ripple is the only coin I really see having any sort of adoption in the near future. I've put my money where my mouth is and am now backing this project fully, good luck to all the HODLers out there with me!

To those saying diversify I have a portfolio of other investments besides crypto that I'm more than happy with, I want to play it risky in crypto and I believe XRP has a much better use case than most other coins out there.

The US Senate Judiciary just sneaked a full panel hearing on criminalizing those who hold cryptocurrency.

How do I know that ?

Because the hearing was just scheduled:

The Senate Judiciary webpage: https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/hearings (The meeting is there) The Senate Hearing webpage: https://www.senate.gov/committees/committee_hearings.htm (The meeting is NOT there.)

The fact that the meeting is not on the Senate page show how sneaky they are .... WE ARE NOT CROOKS

Call your senator: http://AbolishTheBitlicense.com/advocacy.php (if you don't live in those states, pick a Senator randomly and call their office.)

hey guys, to make it short im really interested on a long term invest to ripple before this year ends. it would be happy if somebody gives me a simple explanation why ripple, and the normal go-to to get on it.

also if there is a faucet list or something "free-oriented" id like to know. (i always pretend i will not invest and at least learn how the normal public get the coin by free)

    best regards from Dominican republic.

I want hard evidence that XRP (not just the Ripple blockchain) is going to be used by an institution.

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 08:03 PM PST

I keep seeing hype about Ripple partnering with major institutions, but I can't find any hard evidence that any of these organizations plan on actually using XRP (rather than Ripple's blockchain tech). There's a post trending on the top of this subreddit today that claims to be evidence of usage, but the link is very old and just features langauage on the POSSIBILITY of usage somewhere down the line. Link is here:

I'm seriously considering putting down like $80k in this project, and I would greatly appreciate if someone could take a moment to guide me here. Thank you.

Why I Think Ripple Is A Great Investment

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 11:58 AM PST

First I want to say, when thinking of XRP as an investment, you cannot look at it the same way as Bitcoin or any of the other major coins that are going through the roof right now. Most cryptocurrency traders only have technical analysis to go on when making investment decision because that's basically all there is to go on with most coins.. But if you hear someone talking about Cryptocurrency or bitcoin in general, it really has nothing to do with XRP.

With almost all coins traders are relying on technical analysis, but with XRP we should be completely focused on if and when banks will be using it in the coming years.

So.. Will the way we transfer money globally be completely changed by blockchain technology? With 3-4 second transaction times compared to days and up to 60% savings I think it's a no brainer.

Another point is some major banks are trying to create there own blockchain and coins. Barclays, Credit Suisse, HSBC, State Street, MUFG, and CIBC are working on USC. Mastercard and Visa are teaming up to create their own, as well as a few others. This to me proves that banks know this is the future.

BUT.. These coins are not going to work in my opinion, what bank is going to want to support a competing banks coin? They will all be arguing over whose coin they are going to use on every transaction and ultimately settle on a 3rd party coin like XRP or Stellar Lumens. Not to mention Ripples tech is already years ahead of any bank coin or the Stellar Lumens.

Here are Brad Garlinghouses comments on bank backed coins if your interested in reading more: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/case-against-bankcoin-brad-garlinghouse/

You might be intimidated to hear that IBM just invested heavily in the lumens, but this doesn't change the fact that this coin has no liquidity and it's going to take a long time to catch up to where XRP is right now. By the time the Stellar Lumen is ready to be used in actual large financial transaction, XRP will just be so far ahead it won't matter (assuming blockchain is adopted)

SWIFT is what Ripple is trying to replace, they have mentioned that they are working on something to improve their system, but don't appear to have any interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. In my opinion I don't think they are looking at Ripple as a serious threat, and it will come back to bite them. The analogy I can come up with is if this was 2005, SWIFT would be blockbuster video, and Ripple would be Netflix.

The 3rd major threat to XRP's success will be government regulations.. BUT this will likely only happen AFTER xrp is being recognized as a threat. If and when that happens the price will be way more than it is today. When you hear lawmakers are trying to stop the use of cryptocurrencies in the banking system, it will likely take a year for any new law to pass giving you more than enough time to sell your coins if you decide to, but you should definitely stay on top of this news.

Now for the fun part.. How much will XRP be in the future? I don't know, but I do know that it has a lot of potential. Don't let anyone tell you that because there are 100 billion coins it can't go up that much. Right now there are 27 trillion dollars sitting in transactional banking accounts. SWIFT transfers $5 trillion dollars a businessday between banks.

If you look at section 2.2 of this document, it breaks down some pretty conservative price scenarios that will at least give you an idea of what it will take for XRP to rise to a certain price point.

    Here it is: https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/746e9c4d-b240-4ea5-95f0-9237f2cceb13

Keep in mind these numbers are very conservative and don't account for individuals and banks buying and holding XRP as an investment.

If there is one person who has an idea of XRP's potential it's David Schwartz... I think he breaks down the potential very nicely here (u/joelkatz): https://www.reddit.com/r/Ripple/comments/6irqhs/mathematically_speaking_what_is_the_highest_price/?st=JAFZF25L&sh=5759e26f

Keep in mind his opening scenario of capturing the same sized market as bitcoin being $2 was 5 months ago, today it would be more like $5.

    21 Million Bitcoins x $9000(current USD Value) = 189,000,000,000

    38 Billion XRP x $5(USD) = 190,000,000,000.

For those of you who don't know, 55 Billion XRP is to be placed in escrow by the end of 2017, and 6,300,000,000 held by the company itself. So about 38 billion coins actually on the exchanges being traded.

So is there risk? Yes of course, if there wasn't everyone would be doing it. I wouldn't invest more than you are willing to lose.

Is there potential? Absolutely, investment opportunities like this don't come around very often. I feel very confident the way banks transfer money is definitely going to change in the coming years, and Ripple right now is group that is the most promising right now. Great tech, and a great leadership group. Brad Garlinghouse and David Schwartz are people I would bet on personally.

Just don't listen to "cryptotraders" who come on here and rip XRP because it's not like other coins and the technical analysis isn't great. This coin has a lot more to go on than just technical analysis and they are not used to seeing that. They are used to investing in coins that have no practical use and whose prices only fluctuates based on the impulses of the masses. XRP is a much different situation.

    Good Luck!

[XRP Trading and Price Speculation] XRP's Potential

Banks best interest to have higher priced xrp

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 05:20 PM PST

Ok so something I'm still a little unsure of and I'm trying to get my head around it. Is it in the banks best interest to have a higher priced xrp.

Moving millions requires more xrp if the price is low. If xrp is let's say ten dollars it requires less xrp.

To make it easy let's say a bank needs to move 10mil ASAP. If xrp is with 1k it only requires 10,000 xrp vs .24 which would require 46mil plus change.

Now does a higher xrp price per unit decrease transaction time? So using more xrp is faster?

Do fees for using xrp come into play with a high xrp price?

I know this might sound a bit silly but to me xrp at a higher price is better for the banks. Less is required, if using less xrp decreases transaction time.........then a higher priced xrp is the better option.

    Best place to buy/sell ripple?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 09:48 PM PST

    Sell wall at .29?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2017 07:34 PM PST

I'm watching it go up right now, and I have a sell order at .29. Last two pumps it hit .29 and then went back down. If the same happens again It will make me be able to acquire more ripple. It's my pick for 2018.
