Posted: 19 Nov 2017 05:11 AM PST I have two MSI 1050 tis and an EVGA 1060 running in the same case. I have them mining GRS constantly, but when I woke up this morning, the 1050s were around 87 degrees. I had OC them +200, and wasn't comfortable with those temps. The 1060 was at 70 for the same OC. So my question is are those temps worrisome? After removing the OC they are now mining away at around 82, which is still higher than a couple of days ago. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Nov 2017 01:40 AM PST I am using 2 PSUs to power my mining rig. I was wondering if I am using 2 PSUs connected with a add2psu, is it the equivalent of having one giant PSU? For example can I connect all of my GPUs and motherboard into the first PSU since the power will be distributed across connected PSU? Or do I have to make sure to plug in half the GPUs to the first PSU and the second half to the connected PSU. [link] [comments]

Yet another noob (but pretty good with computers) looking for advice in starting Posted: 18 Nov 2017 05:06 PM PST I have already done as much research as I think I can handle, and I am late for some social plans tonight so I can't continue that through this weekend, BUT... I know it's more profitable short term to just buy bitcoins and rely on the value to climb, but I don't have any spare money for that. What I DO have is an intel 6600 at 3.5 ghz, and dual RX 480s. Using that computer setup, what's the simplest and most efficient way to set up some crypto mining? Should I go through one of the marketplaces that uses my power or mine the coins directly? If you answer that question, please elaborate as much as possible. Also, anyone with recommendations, please link the sites you think I should go through for payment, etc. I mostly need pointing in that direction more than anything so I can use someone who is definitely trusted by many others in the community. I know there are a ton of these noob posts, and I'm sorry to make another but I wanted to get an answer very specific to my computer setup. Thanks for any feedback! [link] [comments]
Need advice on what gtx 1070s to buy Posted: 18 Nov 2017 05:03 PM PST First want to say Thanks you all the contributors here on this sub. I have been reading them for a good couple of days and Im about to pull the trigger and purchase 4 x GTX 1070s and start my first mining rig using a old gaming board. I see many different 1070's with different GPU model names in them . Not speaking of the manufacturer. I wont bore you with name types. I would like to kindly ask do these make a difference is there any brands for mining. I have found that memory doesn't play in mining and should there be any I should avoid? [link] [comments]
GPUs stop working when display is not attached Posted: 18 Nov 2017 11:18 AM PST I have two rigs with 6x 1070s and everything runs fine when I have my monitor hooked up to the GPU plugged in to the 16x but immediately after I unhook the DVI cable to plug it into the other rig the miner freezes up. Do I need to change a setting or do I just need a dummy plug or kvm?
