Hello! Casual ETH HODLer here…. I am not a crypto expert, but have been buying a little ETH every week for more than a year now. I have a question. Do the recent events in Ukraine (or anywhere else) affect the future price of Ethereum?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 08:01 PM PST

As a non-expert, the word on the street a year ago was that ETH is "improved" compared to BTC, and that it was better suited for future mass usage. I also heard that the price of ETH will eventually overtake BTC, and that as far as the crypto space goes, the risk/reward of ETH is as good as you can get (low risk and high reward).

Is this outdated gossip? And does The Ukraine war change this trajectory at all? I know there are some geniuses out there reading this, any input or opinion is appreciated!

    Revoking Permissions

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 02:02 AM PST

So you hear quite often how important it is to revoke permissions on ERC20's incase exploits/rogue contracts steal your funds. But how does it work - if I gave a permission 12 months ago to some app for Unlimited USDC, can they actually initiate a transaction with my funds today without me signing or initiating anything? (address is on a ledger)? Or Is it only the case that they can spend unlimited IF I today initiate and sign a transaction for 10 USDC, they can exploit by spending all the USDC?

    Dear Crypto Russians

    Posted: 03 Mar 2022 01:04 AM PST

More and more international organizations are leaving and blocking Russia.

It is only a matter of time when you will be blocked from every exchange platform.

Go to streets now! Your silence is the only reason what Russia is bombing Ukrainian cities, living houses, even schools and hospitals!

Do it now, because soon you will be isolated from all World like North Korea!

Yesterday in UN resolution against Russia had ONLY 4 supporters - Belarus, Syria, North Korea and Eritrea... Even China silently says fk Russia.

P.S. What you will buy with your cold crypto? Potatoes from babushka? West products is/will be banned for you (like Intel, AMD, TSMC, NVIDIA, APPLE, BMW etc..).

Do North Korea can buy even jeans or make crypto transactions? If you don't take actions now - you will have just a local internet soon..

I know some of you are in streets, but you need more! Call your friends, relatives and act now until it is not too late! You must fight for your freedom and better life!

Theoretically what would happen if 2 wallets generated the same private key?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 02:27 PM PST

Yes I'm aware the odds of this are so low that its like 1/99999999999999999999999999 chance. I'm curious tho, is this theoretically possible and if it were to happen how would the network handle it?

    Public key

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 12:14 PM PST

Anyone know how to get public key for eth on ledger live? For my other coins I go to account > settings > advanced > copy key. For eth when I get to advanced there is no public key to copy.

Left no ETH in wallet for gas fees. What to do?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2022 05:09 PM PST

Hi all. I have a conundrum. I currently have USDC and wETH in my wallet, and want to unwrap the wETH to ETH. Foolishly didn't leave myself any ETH for gas fees. Not even enough to unwrap the wETH on uniswap. I would like to avoid onboarding again through FTX.US, because of the fees and withdrawal time.

So, the only two solutions I can think of are: 1. Swap USDC or wETH to ETH, somehow using the USDC or wETH to pay for the gas fee, instead of ETH. Is this possible?

    1. I'm not familiar with bridging between networks, but is it possible for me to swap USDC or wETH, into SOL, from which I can send the SOL onto FTX, swap the SOL into ETH, and send back to my wallet. Is this possible? Doesn't necessarily have to be SOL, but any token that I can deposit to FTX.us, that does not use ETH for the gas fee.
