    Is there any Litevault alternative?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2022 03:17 AM PST

Hi, On litevault I could access my ltc with identifier and pass. I know them and the address, but havent backed up keywords. Is there a way to access them? Litevault is off, Android wallet's asks for backup words... Thanks

    MWEB Address format documentation?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 12:36 PM PST

I have a small crypto address generator script I use to accept payments and I'm trying to get a head start on implementing MWEB addresses.

I know I can't actually use the addresses on the live LTC network until after it activates. That's fine, just trying to have it ready in advance.

Is there any documentation that could walk me through the steps in generating a MWEB address? Preferably with test vectors.

Will it be possible to generate addresses using an extended public key, like the "zpub" or "Ltub" keys, so the private spending keys can be kept offline? How will this be done?

Is it possible to check for a received payment without the full private key? Maybe something similar to Monero's private view-key, which only allows one to watch for incoming payments but cannot be used to spend any money or even see outgoing payments.

    Version bit clarification

    Posted: 05 Feb 2022 01:06 PM PST

I'm working on a MWEB activation tracker for LTC.

Given block 50eee0bfa84591d3407abba3f051763951dda0452f39c3e2c1d920a0a4920488 at height 2,206,049 we have the following version bits:

    100000000000000000000000000100

It's my understanding that MWEB will use version bit 4 (100000000000000000000000000100) for signaling starting with block 2,217,600.

So what is currently signaling in version bit 3? (100000000000000000000000000100) or have I made an error?
