I have to buy a bunch of cards for other stuff where all three would be the same to me. I will not get in the technical stats, most of you know them. I keep trying to decide between these three, but each has advantages and disadvantages: - A2000 is the most efficient when mining ETH and maybe other ones? Can't say for sure. Cons: Worst resell value out of all three, 6GB, overheats more than others - 3060 is the cheapest of all three (European market), is efficient, good resell value. Cons: not as efficient as A2000, lower hash compared to 3060TI (is important because of the future POS switch) - 3060TI more ETH hash than 3060, more hash on other coins than 3060, 8 GB, best resale value out of all three. Cons: the most expensive out of all three, the least efficient hash - watts.

    Stock online prices in Europe without searching too much: - A2000 - 605 Euro - 3060 - 650 Euro - 3060TI - 730 Euro

I will probably get a better deal after negotiations. Of course if i find a very good deal on any of them, i will choose that one.

I am sure there are other factors i am not considering, so please tell me your opinion.

I will wait until march when some people say prices will drop even more + Ukraine + crypto winter + Intel dropping a ton of cards on the market.

I am also considering RTX A4000. Regarding PCI slots, i have more than enough so this is not a factor.

Help a brother out: do I have enough pci lanes for this?

Hi folks. I have a weird problem. I'm on my 4th rig build, but it's the first time I've used a motherboard not purely intended for mining. My issue is that I cannot get windows to recognise all the devices. Worse - when all gpus are plugged in, the screen stays black and doesn't get past power up checks. I suspect the culprit is the cheap cpu but I'd really appreciate your opinion.

    Kit:

    • ASRock B560M-HDV mATX Motherboard for Intel LGA1200 CPUs

    • Intel Pentium Gold G6405 4.1GHz Dual Core LGA1200 CPU (CPU0725)

    • 4 x 3090 fe's

    • risers from GPU risers, and a 4x pci splitter. I run two cards through the splitter the pcix16 slot, and two others via the remaining pci 1x slots.

Everything boots OK without the gpus, and windows will happily mine with any of the two gpus. At various stages each individual riser has been swapped, it's just when everything is connected I simply can't get the thing to boot.

BIOS settings shouldn't be an issue (this isnt my first time). But with this mATX board I'm in new territory.

My gut feeling is that a better cpu might make more pci lanes available? I'm basically stuck at this point - any ideas?!
