How do "Layer 2" projects on Ethereum like LRC compare to SmartBCH?

    Posted: 07 Feb 2022 04:54 PM PST

I love smart bch but please no one be surprised when the first rug pull happens

    Posted: 07 Feb 2022 12:42 PM PST

I've been in Bitcoin for over a decade and I swear to God smart bch is finally the currency and decentralized financial system that people like Satoshi were dreaming about.

I was extremely hesitant at first after having had my hopes up and dashed with the SLP tokens. Then with ethereum and smart contracts I started learning to program a few years ago but gave up after realizing I couldn't afford to even test my contracts on the main chain because of high transaction fees.

Smart bch really is what Vitalik should have built and it's hilarious that he just doesn't realize it yet. Ethereum is still going down this dark path of proof of stake in which only the rich get richer forever and second layer so-called roll up technologies.

Satoshi had it right from day one we need a fast and cheap layer one which can be built on top of with more complex financial instruments. Ethereum unfortunately had a lot right but the data structure is inverted. Bitcoin core of course it's just a house of cards Ponzi scheme built upon idiots and fake tether US dollars

Sometimes BCH does it better than SmartBCH, that's why SmartIndex voting platform uses memo.cash for notarization.

Worth setting up a BCH mining pool in 2022?

    Posted: 08 Feb 2022 02:36 AM PST

This question is mainly directed at people who either mine BCH or run a BCH pool themselves.

Last year I started building a pool with the intention of building a small community around it, and adding more coins later down the line, so it's all fully scalable already, we can spin up new coins easily.

I recently added some chat rooms and will be adding a shop later accepting only crypto.

We started with a small coin as between a few of us we have enough hash to produce lots of blocks, but with crypto down now, barely anything is worth mining, somehow we have still managed to maintain most of the hashrate on the pool, I think mostly as we have included ourselves in a "one click miner" and also things like Hive OS. But now I'm thinking of adding more coins and expanding.

Adding a coin like BTC or BCH is very daunting, we will have to rent a lot of hash to start with, then market the pool heavily, while it is finding blocks already.. can this be pulled off in 2022?

    Thoughts? Ideas?

    BCM Hunt sBCH Support

    Posted: 07 Feb 2022 02:52 PM PST

If anyone is interested in Play and Earn gaming/Blockchain gaming, I'd encourage you to send a short little email to contact@bcmhunt (fill in the .xyz) and let them know you'd like to see sBCH chain support. BCM Hunt is a multi-chain Pokemon-esk game and I think sBCH being added would be as huge for them as it would be for us.

Despite BCH's recent recovery, the BCHG fund is trading $3.1 of BCH (0.00906323 BCH per share) for $2, which would be over a 50% gain instantly after shares are purchased.

Did anyone notice that since the end of 2020 the amounts of successful double spend attacks on BCH dropped to zero?

    Posted: 07 Feb 2022 02:19 AM PST

I was just randomly checking the double spend statistics on Bitcoin Cash to see how many users still attempt to double spend their coins. Unless the most popular source to track double spend attempts is doing something wrong, successful double spends have completely vanished from our network. Attempts went down from 5496 at its peak in August 2020 to 12 per month from 2021 onward.

There has been no successful double spends since the end of 2020!

So here are the alltime results from beginning of 2020 end of 2017 to end of 2021:

    - attempted double spends: 60069

    - first seen won: 45810

    - second seen won: 8310

So does anyone have an explanation? Another source? Or was this it and we can bury the 0-conf problematic once and for all on Bitcoin Cash now?
