Why the hell are you still on layer one?! Posted: 29 Jan 2022 09:32 AM PST We're all moving squad, pack your bags, we're heading to the newfoundland of low fees, high security and decentralization. If you're still making trades or buying NFTs on Layer one, you're burning money. ROLLUPS ARE HERE Layer 2 rollups are ready today! Including Loopring, zkSync, Optimistic Ethereum, and Arbitrum. No more of that sidechain/sister chain business, we can support Ethereum by moving our assets to any of these layer two chains and increasing Liquidity incentives. The more of us on L2 the better the sandbox becomes. FOR THE NEWBIES For those of you who are newbies and have never opened a crypto wallet, or those just doing small trades I'd recommend Loopring Wallet or Argent Wallet (powered by zkSync/starknet). Both of these systems use smart wallets and make holding crypto stupid proof! When these scaling solutions launch EVM smart contract, anybody will be able to have world class security for less than than a few dollars. FOR THE OUT OF THE LOOP CRYPTO VETERANS If you're a bit more experienced, have some crypto savings or just want to continue interacting with Dapps, try bridging your funds to Arbitrum or Optimism! Contract calls are roughly around $1 and make trading easy. They do lack a bit of liquidity, BUT, the more of us that transfer to these L2 solutions, the more incentive there is for liquidity providers to move! WE ALL NEED TO MOVE TO L2 IN ORDER TO INCENTIVIZE LIQUIDITY PROVIDERS TO MOVE! "But mrcleansocks, all my funds are on binance and coinbase? how am i supposed to get to layer 2 without touching layer 1 gas fees?" EASY! You need to go to Layerswap! They will help you bridge your funds from CEX's to L2s! No more dirty nasty layer one gas fees to stop you from being your own bank. SO GET ON IT! On a twitter spaces call between Optimism, Arbitrum, zkSync, and Starknet, they all said that sub 1 cent transactions are coming! We are on the verge of Layer 2 2022!!!! It's happening! We are scaling! But we all need to get off layer one! So get your shit together and let's roll squad, we're building the new world and it's on Layer two now! edit - Honestly, mods, we need a sticky post to address this. If you're too lazy, just pin this post so people can find their way to L2 [link] [comments]

Question regarding minting NFTs on Etherium blockchain using your own website and Metamask API. Posted: 29 Jan 2022 05:01 PM PST I have a question regarding Minting NFTs on your own website and wondered if anyone here can help: How much does ti cost to mint NFTs on the Etherium blockchain through you own website and metamask? Finding really contradicting information on this matter - some say the buyer pays gas fees and that's all while at other places I see that you need to pay around 0.66 ETH for minting a collection (about 10K). Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2022 06:13 PM PST I know Cardano has easy staking for rewards (all you need is a wallet and ledger/Trezor). Is there anything like this for other (Top 5) cryptos, mainly ETH? Something that doesn't require constant monitoring, complex contracts, or having to shuffle money around frequently. I remember looking to ETH staking (or sharding) and it looked pretty complex and certainly not passive. Ideally a "set it and forget it" but with the safety of "your keys, your crypto?" Posted: 29 Jan 2022 06:29 AM PST I need to get my ETH balance off Poloniex before tomorrow afternoon due to trading stopping in Ontario. The fee to withdraw ETH to my Coinbase ETH wallet takes nearly half of my investment. How can I do this cheaper? I have Coinbase and Kraken at my disposal. Poloniex support has not been helpful. Hope someone can offer insight! Thanks [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2022 01:37 AM PST What are your opinions on buying monthly and holding ETH on coinbase long-term for profit? Is there any other way to go about ETH investing that is recommended? [link] [comments] |
