- Unpopular Opinion: Bitcoin was NEVER meant to be an "investment" and anyone buying it as one doesn't understand Bitcoin.
- Can we agree that the Tether cartel (Blockstream, Bitfinex, and others) is a liability to the entire crypto space?
- Peter Schiff: “Maybe the real reason that The Grayscale #Bitcoin Trust trades at a 28% discount to NAV is that you can't buy it with #Tether. You have to pay in actual dollars. If so, that means the real price for Bitcoin isn't $42,000 but $30,000. It also means that one Tether equals 72 cents!”

Posted: 20 Jan 2022 10:12 PM PST The idea of hording cash has always been stupid, it's better to find a PRODUCTIVE way to do invest your capital. Every single legacy financial expert that says BTC is rat poison is correct because they see it from their perspective of just another investment vehicle and as that, Bitcoin is stupid. Spread the word, Bitcoin is not and was never meant to be an investment or store of value, it was designed to be Peer-to-Peer Digital Cash and any other use case is a manipulation. Don't invest in Bitcoin, use it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jan 2022 06:05 PM PST I hear a handful of folks saying that BCH's price doesn't matter, since that sole use is to be a currency. And no, I am not arguing for Bitcoin cash to be a store of value, like Bitcoin. And it is true that Bitcoin Cash's value is underwhelming because it is due to natural growth and not the source of pump and dump schemes. But it is very concerning now how low it is going. Fiat really sucks, but in times like these, where the crypto market is falling into recession, our crypto falls harder than hyperinflated Turkish Lira or Venezuelan Bolivars, in days. How can anyone use it as a currency if it falls 3-5% for days at a time and barely fights upward? It's like waking up to find an apple for $2, when the day prior was 1 per dollar. Valuation will get more people onboard to peer to peer cash. Right now we're just not getting it. [link] [comments]
Bitcoin Cash is becoming a true digital cash. Posted: 20 Jan 2022 09:49 PM PST If it drops to $100 and is reborn as a fixed $100 stablecoin, I think it will be used as a true digital currency! Isn't that what the community wants a true digital cash without speculation? [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jan 2022 10:48 AM PST It's a horrible coin for starters. Block size is limited at 1mb and it takes weeks or even months to process with 20 dollars or 50 dollars or more fee for one transaction? And they come up with a layer 2 solution like duckshit-lighting network to destroy any shred of decentralization and makes you dependent on a centralized third party for payment? If I claim that my duckshit coin has "store of value" and you must buy it now so that you can make more money out of it when someone else buys it from you for a higher price, that's a PYRAMID SCHEME. I can be arrested if I try that con with someone. Only in crypto are you able to pull that shit off, at least for now when the government has not had the time to put out more regulation. Okay. Even IF my duckshit coin was the most recognizable crypto in the world and billion of people started to drink the koolaid and it became 100 trillion dollar asset, the whole point of my duckshit coin is to RUG PULL on new investors so that I can make more money in the future. The whole point of BTC or duckshit coin is a rug pull on new investors. There's no ifs or buts about it. If the point of a coin is to raise the value by bringing in more investors like a pyramid scheme, then the eventual outcome is always to SELL it to make more profit in fiat or the US dollars. There is no other utility value if the whole point of holding my duckshit coin is so-called "store of value". [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jan 2022 12:25 PM PST BCHG is BCH sold on the stock market by Grayscale company. each share has 0.00907317 BCH , so: 190 BCHG shares x 0.00907317 = 1.7239023 BCH , yet this only costs $380 (each share is $2) 1 BCH sells for $380 So if you were going to hold for the long term anyway, why not gain nearly double the amount of BCH? All coins are stored with coinbase custody, so ye its not your own wallet, but coinbase is probably the best exchange in the world. So ye cold storage is good, but so is turning 1 BCH into 1.72 BCH.
