PRo Tip for Polaris cards :- Flash bios from Sapphire's polaris card. THIS IS FALSE. Posted: 14 Dec 2021 08:35 AM PST I see this post getting upvoted and people asking for the BIOs. Guys, please ignore it. He did not "lower" wattage by flashing to different BIOs. (He also did not watt-meter it to prove it) I've used Polaris extensively, Software reporting in HiveOS is random at best and is based on the Manufacture. Some cards report 20w under others 50w under what is actually being used. With Polaris Mining ETH the lowest you're looking at is 125-135w a card at 30mh~ with undervolting to 850 VDD/1150 core. The RX590 are actually higher 140w~ because of how AMD tweaked it. So regardless of BIOs your not "saving" wattage by flashing to another one. [link] [comments]

Negative temperafure for mining? Posted: 14 Dec 2021 11:24 AM PST Hi! I have a question about room temperature in which i have my mining rig. How low i can go i mean 15°C, 10°C or even 5°C? What about negative temperature? Is it still good for cards and they will potentially live longer? Thanks in advance for response! [link] [comments]
Mining settings for amd rx 5700 xt Posted: 14 Dec 2021 12:43 PM PST I have been mining with 2 rx 5700 xt cards for few months now. They average around 51 mh/s on ethash. Does anyone have experience with these cards on which settings to use for better hashrate. My Os is windows because I'm mining on my PC. [link] [comments]
Balancing Fan Longevity vs Performance Posted: 14 Dec 2021 12:25 PM PST What are you thoughts on the best fan % that provides the most cooling performance while also trying to maintain the lifespan of the fan? It's always a trade off, but do you have a certain fan % that you target, then adjust overclocking accordingly to get the desired temps, or do you just set fans to 100%, with the intention of replacing them when they eventually burn out? How much more lifespan do you get from a fan running at 75%, vs the same fan running at 100%? 50%? Has a study like that ever been done? [link] [comments]
