3060 max hashrate duel boot help Posted: 15 Dec 2021 03:49 AM PST I have a 3060 gaming PC. I was wondering if I could add a hdd and install something like hive os and duel boot off of but also unlock my hashrate? Would it harm my gaming performance also is there a way to remote view on my phone? I'm pretty tech savvy but new to mining only have played with nice hash. Any recommendations welcome. Thanks. Splitting A PCI-E Cable On A PSU 4 Ways Posted: 14 Dec 2021 10:19 PM PST What's everyone's opinion on splitting a PCI-E cable on a PSU 4 ways to power 4 Risers? Meaning, a cable with two 6+2pin being split twice to 4 6-pins to power 4 risers. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Dec 2021 10:12 PM PST Hi everyone! Alongside my best friend I've just started getting into mining (a bit late but oh well). We've got 2x5600 and a few 1600's on a second rig. Does anyone have any stand out youtubers, bloggers, guides etc you could recommend? I'm looking to build my own structure - is it easier to buy or? I'd love to chat or get more involved in the community! Thank you [link] [comments]
Replacement fans and thermal pads for Gigabyte 5700xt triple fan model? Posted: 14 Dec 2021 08:46 PM PST I have a few Gigabyte 5700 xt's that I bought over a year ago and some of the fans are in pretty sad shape now. I was wondering if there's a good source for replacement parts? If I'm going to pull them off the rig to service them, I may as well see if I can redo the paste and pads too. Any recommendations for replacement parts/places to buy them would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]
Is there a linux OS with pre-installed AMD/Nvidia drivers? Posted: 14 Dec 2021 08:15 PM PST With OpenCL and Cuda installed ready to go? I don't want a pay for mining software. Just something with the drivers from old to new. :) I can handle loading all my own mining software that's not a problem. It can be a pain to load the drivers though. :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Dec 2021 07:16 PM PST Building my first rig. Pretty sure I've got all the right parts in where they need to be and secure. The GPU and CPU fans are on but just don't know how to get any screen displayed. What do I do from here? [link] [comments]
EVGA 3080ti FTW3 Ultra - Worth doing thermal pad replacement Posted: 14 Dec 2021 05:09 PM PST I've had a difficult time getting my EVGA 3080ti FTW3 Ultra to stay above hashing ETH at 80MHs and it looks like its because swthermal throttling is kicking in. I've got this running on a hiveOS so I can't see the exact memory temps, but the card is only reaching about 45C before the throttling kicks in. Seems like most people have their cards going to 50-55 before throttling kicks in. I'm currently running the card at 1150 CC, 2100 MC, 290 PL, fan at 90% which sits me at 77MH because the throttling will kick in. It will hit 89 before until the temps go up Is it worth me opening it up and replacing the thermal pads? [link] [comments]
Temps slowly increase after repad? Posted: 14 Dec 2021 03:42 PM PST I've repadded my Zotac fhr 3080 3 times now with Gelid ultimate 2mm pads. Right after I change the pads, junction temps drop into the high 80s (like 88) and stay there for a few weeks. Then they start climbing very slowly back to their original temps (takes about 2-3 months). Anyone have similar experiences with this? Am I doing it wrong some how? [link] [comments] |
