Is it a good idea to encourage my son to try and invest into crypto?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 06:54 AM PST

A little context - my son (17) loves the idea of business. He's always bugged me about helping him sell stuff at school like colored pens and bows/ties when he was young, and I always saw potential in him as a businessman. He excels in Math (thankfully) and seems very interested taking Accounting or a Business degree in college.

I plan on giving him USD 1,000 for his birthday soon and want to encourage him to try investing into crypto. Is this a good idea or should I just let him discover it himself?

Indestructible King for 50 Years, the U.S. Dollar Will Face a New Kind of Competition With Bitcoin. The world deserves an apolitical and neutral reserve currency like Bitcoin.

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 07:28 AM PST

The American dollar is seen as an indestructible king.

It has been more than 50 years since Richard Nixon unilaterally established the current monetary and financial system. Since then, the dominance of the US dollar over the world has continued to grow.

Some even believe that no currency will be able to overthrow the domination of the dollar king.

If we stick to fiat currencies, I think that the king dollar has no rival.

Nevertheless, you have to look at the world of the future to see that the US dollar actually has a lot more to worry about than many people imagine today. In a future world where everything will be digital, the U.S. dollar will face a completely different kind of competition from Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has the potential to overthrow the U.S. dollar's hegemony over the world. There is no guarantee that it will succeed, but it is our best chance for a better future world because Bitcoin represents a fairer system for the many.

The world deserves apolitical and neutral hard money. Bitcoin is our chance.

If I play an NFT game, should I also stake in it?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 07:16 AM PST

I love playing Axie Infinity and Splinterlands, and my friends keep on encouraging me to stake in XRP and SPS (the tokens). I'm wondering if this is a big deal and if this would support the game, or if it's okay if I don't? Sorry, just a bit confused.

ELI5: What and How do you own when you buy tokens in a blockchain?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 04:06 AM PST

Please, don't hate on my ignorance. I am not a professional in this area but I am looking to understand the basics, so finding and consuming and processing all the complex information is out of my current scope.

    Please Explain Like I'm 5:

I will appreciate if you can relate the concepts of Token or Coin and Wallet in an analogy that is as simple as possible, yet represents the real reality going on.

I assume that the concept of Coin is inherent to a Blockchain and it's what we are talking about when owning BTC, SOL, ONE or ADA. Correct me if there can be a blockchain where Coins don't exist.

So, blockchains are chains of blocks. Each block contains a cryptographic sum up of the contents of previous blocks (id est, a hash). No one can tamper validated data. The chain keeps growing as stuff happens. Cool.

Now I go into an exchange and trade my euros for 2 Coins of Bitcoin or Cardano or Solana or whatever. Let's say for 2 Coins in a Blockchain.

The person goes away with my money and I now own 2 Coins which live in my Wallet.

What do I own? Blocks in the Chain? And what is the Wallet? How can it be possible that the Wallet is living on a USB, apart of the Blockchain itself? And how can I even have one Wallet that contains Coins of multiple Blockcains?

Thanks in advance for any help you may throw at me, other than "go get a book and read it".

Blockchain is Changing How Celebrities Interact with their Fans

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 05:28 AM PST

The current social media landscape is based on a time-tested format that only allows fans to interact one way with celebrities. For instance, they can view photos of their favorite celebs, read their opinions, see their videos, and more. However, this one-way interaction is never reciprocated since celebs have no way of responding effectively to millions of their fans.

And now there is something new. Promify, a blockchain-based social token aims to change the current social media landscape. Through this platform, fans can purchase customized tokens from their favorite celebrities and use these tokens to interact with celebrities. The result is a better two-way interaction that offers exclusive access to their concerts, merchandise, and more.

    Trust wallet issues

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 06:30 AM PST

For starters I know I made a mistake I just need help with my issue.

So yesterday I wasn't really thinking and had transferred usdt to my trust wallet to trade for BNB. Later in my stupidity I realized that I cannot do that on trustwallet I knew that but for some reason at the time I just wasn't thinking I don't know I'm stupid really fucking mad at myself. I'm from the US so a lot of the bridge websites weren't working to transfer my usdt into a BNB.

I then decided to send my funds to binance us but I had to pay Ethereum fees. The fees went through but my coin is still in my trust wallet and not in my binance us wallet.

I waited quite a bit and then out of frustration I just tried to change my usdt into Ethereum and then just be done with it. It also took a fee out for doing that and still didn't give me my ethereum. Now I'm out 60$ plus the money in USDT

What the fuck do I do. I know I'm an idiot don't just tell me I'm an idiot.

HDR Fair launch when audit is ready ETA 06 December 2021 | Locked liquidity from day 1 | 5% total taxes and 4% of this goes directly back to the community | Long Run| Website ready | So don't miss the chance to be one of the first that buys this new coin

    Posted: 02 Dec 2021 02:39 AM PST

    More info on buyhdr.com

HDR concept is an ecosystem that promotes equality between members and owners, encourages the right to opinion and develops over time taking its community into account.

This token is the first block of this ecosystem and will function as a coin that will bind the next blocks. Like a real ecosystem, construction and development is done over time and so that you have something to play around with until the next blocks are created we already developed a concept. Our concept brings to the table the idea of reward for the community.

    How are rewards distributed?

    - You must hold at least 500,000,000 HDR to receive rewards.

    - When a buy or a sell happens we take a part of that transaction and compare it to a list of holders, when your turn comes, based on how many coins you own a math will happen automatically, your coins divided by total circulating supply and that is the percentage of BUSD you will receive. Everything happens with 0 human interaction, so you have nothing to warry about someone will leave with your reward.
