Left my window open unknowingly and it rained heavily. Partial of my mining rig was wet with some splashes seen on the mobo but all GPUs have been dried and tested with no issue. Thank goodness!

Now comes the problem: PSU has a faint wheezing sound and fan does not spin while the mobo has the power light switched on but all in all nothing start up or boot up. Can I safely say the PSU is done for?

    Cannot add the 4th gpu

    Posted: 01 Oct 2021 07:34 AM PDT

No matter what I have tried i failed to show the 4th gpu to my os (windows 10)

My motherboard is MSI B450M mortar max and I'm using Ryzen 5 1600 as processor. My 4 GPUs are rtx 3060, rtx 2060 and x2 rx 6600.

I use two separate power supplies which can provide 1200-1350 watts.

I was using risers for 3 gpus and there was no problems mining eth. Then I bought the second 6600 and also used a riser to connect it. But it didn't show up. I tried to change their position, everytime a different gpu is excluded. I did all the bios settings too.

Does my process not support 4 GPUs? Is the mb the problem? If you have a guess what can solve my problem I'd really appreciate it.

Norton Mining hashrate limiter on RTX 3060?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 12:41 PM PDT

    Hi all,

Curious about everyone's experience with the Norton miner. I installed the 470.05 driver on my machine so my RTX 3060 didn't have the hashrate limiter when mining on Ethermine. But at this point, the older driver is starting to affect my gaming specs. The gaming specs are the priority, but before I commit to changing, I wanted to see what everyone's experience was? And yes, I know Norton takes a pretty nasty percentage off of withdrawals.

    Thanks!

    Thank you sparkpool

It wouldn't have surprised me in the least if they'd decided to keep all the outstanding amounts due and just disappear. But, got my final payout with no issues or delays. Just wanted to publicly state my appreciation to them for being honourable with their shutdown, and I wish them luck with their next venture!

What methods do you use to ensure your rigs are running 24/7 ??

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 09:38 AM PDT

I have been experiencing power issues lately and I am remote so can't really turn on the rigs if they go offline due to a power surge etc.

What are some of the ways you are using to ensure the rigs keep running ? or come back online if there is a power failure..

    Doesn't matter what OS - Windows / Hive .. other ?
