    The lonely crpyto trader

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 02:46 AM PDT

Anyone else a lonely crypto trader? Don't we me wrong I've got friends, I've got a family but I've got no one that I can talk to about crypto unless it's online.

My friends all think I'm being scammed because it's not as easy to understand as buying shares in Tesla or Apple.

My wife (yep, got one) doesn't want to know since pre crpyto I lost a whole load trading shares.

My dog is remotely interested but only when ive got a treat in my hand.

If there are others maybe we need to set up global networks of meeting centres a bit like AA but with drink and tech involved.

Instead of being butthurt about people making money off SHIB, start paying attention to meme coins

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 12:23 PM PDT

No, you're not angry because people might lose their life savings in a pump and dump.

No, you're not mad because there are good projects being ignored by normies investing in a meme coin

No you're not looking out for anyone. You're mad because people are making money off of something that you dismissed.

No, people who hold SHIB aren't stupid, no matter if it dumps. Millions of people have made tidy profits off SHIB, and some of them talked about this back in January when we saw the devs behind SHIB were smart as shit.

SHIB, Doge and every other meme coin is not a shitcoin. A shitcoin is an altcoin which is any coin other than Bitcoin. Meme coins are advertising for crypto and good for hyping the currency as a whole and to make money off of if you play it right.

Paying attention to meme coins have changed my life, but be warned that If you first hear about a meme coin on Reddit it's almost always too late. Researching each project, ICOs, following trends and getting in insanely early by investing a few bucks is the way to make huge gains without risking real money.

Patience, open mindedness and attention to details.

Meme coin investors are not stupid unless they are.

    Stop seething.

I was addicted to tinder, now I'm addicted to watching the charts.

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 07:10 PM PDT

I was spending on average 6.9 hours per day swipping right and left on tinder. Dude I even paid for tinder gold and was traveling around the world to find my soulmate, but I didn't had any good results or any luck.

Until someday I saw an ad promoting crypto, and it was the perfect match! Now I'm in love with crypto, and crypto is in love with me and with my money, I'm like a crypto virtual sugar daddy, and I can't stop watching those juicy green and red dildos. I'm jut addicted, I can't stop, and I don't want to stop. Also I'm making a shit ton of money on the process. Actually let me correct myself, crypto is my sugar mommy, not the other way around.

I highly recommend this to all of you guys. It's the most non toxic relationship I've ever had! I'm happy now!

Some thoughts after playing this for the past 5 years

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 10:11 PM PDT

I started gambling in crypto before the run up in 2017. I made great money but not what I should have because I was both greedy and delusional. I think it's a pretty common story. Last year I pushed a decent amount of money in to BTC at 10k and was able to capitalize on the dogecoin run, setting my sell date as the night before Elon appeared on SNL. It's a side hustle for me and I only invest money I've set aside for high risk plays but I've made a couple hundred thousand dollars doing it. For what its worth, here's what I've learned:

    1. Get out before everyone else, even if it costs you upside. Everyone is looking to turn their $500 investment into a million dollars. In the real/boomer world a 20% ROI is incredible. If you see something getting hot on the boards get in there, play sentiment, ride it up but get out at 50% or 80% profit. Sell at the moment you start having delusions of the stock going supernova. Rinse and repeat.
    2. BTC and ETH are long term plays. Stick your money there, treat it like a 401k on steroids. The returns will never be what they were in the early days but they're here to stay and there is real upside. BTC and ETH are no longer high risk plays in my mind. The swings are still wild but too many people with too much money are in. ETH's potential nukes BTC in the long run.
    3. Shitcoins are shitcoins. If the market believes a coin is going to go from .01 to 1.00 in 6 months or because the CEO had a meeting with Bill Gates' assistant, it's a shitcoin and play the game accordingly (see point #1).
    4. There are a lot of very serious companies that are still incubating but are developing the tech to change the game. If a company like ADA or IOTA actually hits their potential they're real players and there are plenty more out there.
    5. Actual currency adoption will not happen without price stability. Period. There is no person in the world who would sell something for a penny they believe will be worth a dollar in a week. The actual blockchain currency will be boring as fuck and five people will make money off it.
    6. This tech is real and will change the world. Does it need to be tokenized and traded in an open market? In most cases, probably not.

Someone smash bought $1.6 billion worth of BTC in 5 minutes

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 07:38 AM PDT

Everybody was expecting to see short squeeze after 52k but it seems what happened wasn't really a short squeeze.

    https://imgur.com/qqaKc3A

As you can see $1.6 billion worth of BTC was taken in just a few minutes by a big buyer. It means they smash bought market orders. It could have been some major institutional buyer.

BTC price moved from 52k to 55k within 5 minutes. It seems from that this was a single large buyer. There was not a big short squeeze as many people were expecting. Shorts liquidation at that time was only $17 million. Shorts could be also stopped out but that's not a very big liquidation more than usual.

Maybe we will know more about this in the next days.

Andrew Yang Expresses Support for Bitcoin After Launching New Party

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 03:20 AM PDT

We went from extreme fear to extreme greed in one week

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 02:52 AM PDT

Everyone is doing the classic buy high, sell low huh? Now that the prices are high, everyone is buying. But absolutely don't buy BTC at 30K, because imagine if it goes lower..

It's scary how fast the sentiment changed. The last day of September, everyone was in extreme fear. That's usually the time to load up. Just buy every coin, because you can't predict which one will pump the hardest.

I notice I am also starting to feel greedy, but I promised myself to just sit on my hands and only buy in the extreme greed zone.

If you want to see the fear and greed index, you can check it out here: https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/

I've got my positions, so I won't be doing anything now. If we go back to extreme fear again next week, I'll be buying again. But make up your mind, are you extremely fearful or extremely greedy? Don't change every week lol

    XLM Stellar Partners with MoneyGram

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 01:46 PM PDT

I have been a true believer of XLM Stellar since early 2016 and have been hodling since! I have never sold a single XLM since, I have only been adding more and more to my initial bag... I remember many stories and opinions, on how XLM is dead and that it had no future!

I can't believe XLM Stellar just partnered with MoneyGram. This is one of the biggest news for XLM, if not all of Crypto!! This is about to bring so much more attention and adoption to Cryptocurrency... This partnership is going to benefit not just XLM, but all of us !!! HODL 🚀🚀🚀

Just because your prediction was right, doesn't mean it was right because of your reasoning

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 10:39 PM PDT

It's insane how many people claim to have predicted the market correctly because of their analysis.

"I predicted X$ BTC back in July, this is where we are going from here"

If you bet on real Madrid against Barcelona and Madrid wins, it does not mean you can predict the outcome of the next match. It means you got lucky.

Moreover, just because you predicted the price, doesn't mean it got there because of the "patterns" you analyzed but because some whale bought or an other event like an announcement you could not have been aware of came along.

"Self serving bias" is a drug to always feel good. Your fault, my success. Be reasonable.

To anyone new in the market. If it requires your seed phrase, its a SCAM.

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 03:58 PM PDT

Your seed phrase is useless for anything other than your security. It has one job and one job only and that is to stay safe with you physically. It literally has no other use.

So if you ever get a message from supposed "binance support" or "coinbase support" asking for your seed phrase, 10 times out of 10 it's a scam. Never trust anyone with you seed phrase, I don't even trust my kids with it. I have it stored on Vault 12 in case I die suddenly so that my kids can get their inheritance. It's the safest way.

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 03:51 AM PDT

I reached a new time level of crypto addiction and people around me started to notice ، I keep using crypto terms on everything in my life.

for example I never use the word hold anymore all I keep saying is hodl , I never say double check I say 2x it , I get payed 300$ , in my mind it's 0.025 ETH , when I see fraud all i think about is Tether

Yesterday I bought some clothes on a sale , when my wife asked me how much I got those , I told her I bought them on a dip.

I feel like I reached a new legendary level of crypto addiction and there's no cure for that ,so what are your suggestions for me to change

Why do people pump the meme coins with trillions of tokens instead of those with limited supply?

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 03:27 AM PDT

Every time a coin pumps and dumps it seems to be a meme token like Doge, Shib, etc. I'm not mad about it as I've taken the ride and it can be fun, but I don't understand why these folks who start the rallies never go for coins that actually have underlying fundamentals and scarce supply that would actually leave them with the opportunity to increase their worth in a more feasible / long term manner.

For example, look at QNT. This coin has similar supply to Bitcoin. If it achieved the market cap of DOGE, people who got in now would be quite wealthy and have a real shot at holding onto that wealth over time as the limited supply means it won't come crashing down immediately.

And yet it's always the coins with a quadrillion in circulation that get pumped. Is it because people enjoy buying 1,000,000 tokens and feeling like they have a lot of something, when in actuality it is all relative to the total supply and scarcity?

Citadel Founder who calls Crypto a "Jihadist call against the U.S. Dollar" has paid over $800,000 in "Speaking Fees" to the anti-Crypto Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 05:48 AM PDT

"I wish all this passion and energy that went to crypto was directed towards making the United States stronger."

"It's a jihadist call that we don't believe in the dollar. What a crazy concept this is that we as a country embrace so many bright talented people to come up with a replacement for our reserve currency." Citadel Founder

Also interesting: Citadel has paid over $800,000 in speaking fees to current anti-Crypto secretary of the treasury Janet Yellen.

The more such people are against Crypto, the more I am supporting it. It is clear that bankers want a big centralized U.S. Dollar to abuse, more reason for me to be against it.

We are the early investors in cryptocurrency

    Posted: 06 Oct 2021 07:35 PM PDT

In the grand scheme of things, we are considered very early adopters, Bitcoin is only 12 years old. Presumably Younger than the majority of people in this sub.

In many years to come, people will look back on our comments and posts to study how we were behaving when X coins hit X price, or just before and after. I like to do the same on old Bitcoin forums. It's really interesting. The only difference is people used to post their BTC addresses in their signatures which are searchable on the explorer.

There will be some dead Reddit accounts that will leave people of the future wondering if the owner struck rich or sold… and many other things.

I believe all of this extremely volatility that we are experiencing will be marvelled by future investors. I assume the markets will become less volatile as time passes.

This is just the beginning and there is still so much further to go! Imo I think now up until the next year years may be the most profitable time in crypto, and I think in some years to come there will be terms coined to address certain periods of crypto currency with this era being the most important and defining for many reasons — in my opinion.

All in all im happy we get to experience this all together as a community, because we are truly part of something special. If you feel like leaving, then don't give up, you're playing an important role in history & we still have so far to go. If you have missed out on one opportunity, then there are hundreds if not thousands more waiting ahead for you. Because after all, Crypto is here to stay! ✨😃📈

    Reached 1k finally

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 03:43 AM PDT

I finally reached 1k within 3 months of shitposting and quality stuff posting and fud busting.

    Things I improved in/learned..

    1. Knowing that good things never come for free

    2. Knowing that the time we have left is insufficient and shouldn't be wasted on petty arguments

    3. Knowing that there is no single smartphone brand in the whole world which makes durable, and easily reparable phones and I wish to start a company which makes phones where I can tap into it and make lesser e waste that way. (My lambo makes money and reduces e waste)

    4. I always thought the daily discussion was a waste of time and that all the shitposters go there to shitpost. This was me 20 days ago. And now it struck me that there was a karma thingy which makes them shitpost less. And the daily discussion guys are wholesome af with those lil sneks. I got my first gold there (and it was completely unexpected)

    5. I may look like a wuss for saying this but the amount of the moons I hold costs around 12k INR. It looks less when converted to USD(around 160$) but for me, who is currently studying and won't be working till I finish my professional exams, damn that's quite a lot of Benjamin's.

Spank you everyone for red arro-ing me all this time. May the moons be with you always.

P.s. moons are priced at 0.16$ I dunno if it's really good but all I know is that it gonna soon teleport us to the MPD and control Zombies after taking on Samantha maxis reach 1$ per moon!

    See ya folks!

Edit: ohh and people who use 1k moons to buy the reddit subscription, remember you're wasting literally 160 bucks to enable yourself to use gifs in chat and have fancy name colors. I'd rather imgur link it

What hard lesson did Crypto teach you?

    Posted: 07 Oct 2021 04:14 AM PDT

I got into crypto late in 2020, started off with investing in ripple when it sat at around €0.19 and eventually sold when it hit the circa €0.80 range.

After that I began investing in more stable coins, and diversified my crypto portfolio. However at this time I was always looking at super low value coins, thinking that they would only have to increase by less than a € and I would instantly become a millionaire. And that's when it happened folks, SHIB was listed on Binance and my eyes lit up with dollar signs. I immediately pumped €100 in whilst it sat at its ATH, and started doing the math. It only needs to reach €0.40 for me to be a millionaire right? RIGHT?! Wrong. Well no, not technically, but little did I know that SHIB would NEVER hit €0.40. And that's when it hit me, market cap ladies and gents.

To follow on from this mess, I then sold my SHIB for €22 last week, I'd be breaking even right now if I had of held.

TL;DR - Market cap, google it.
