What do you guys think about getting crypto rewards while taking a DeFi course? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 02:47 AM PDT If you take a full course about DeFi and you get rewarded with DeFi tokens while learning and practicing, would that make you more motivated to learn? If you know you'll be rewarded by NFT certificate at the end, would that motivate you to finish the course ? To give a bit of context, I'm currently building a DeFi educational platform at Unfate.co to help crypto hodlers learn to benefit from DeFi. [link] [comments]

Gasnow to end all services October 15 Posted: 30 Sep 2021 02:22 PM PDT I just seen the notification on their website. There's a post earlier on /cc saying Gasnow was restricting users from Mainland China Oct 15... Now they're ending the service for everyone.
https://twitter.com/gasnow_org/status/1443511830253498374 Does anyone know why this happened? ..Where else it can happen? I use gasnow every day. I didn't think China was able to do this. [link] [comments]
Crypto101: What's APY & APR ? (Useful for farmers!) Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:31 PM PDT Over 100+ crypto free articles are available on our SubStack (Link on our profile) TLDR: Understanding the two terms of APR General ConclusionAPR and APY are used in many yield farming programs in DeFi protocols. However, they are not the same thing! We, the participants in the market, are not only investing but actively receiving yields by farming and staking DeFi tokens. So these basic terms are not only important, but they are also information that helps you to invest more effectively. Both are related to returns. But how are they different? Why are they not interchangeable? We discuss that in today's newsletter. DefinitionAPR stands for Annual Percentage Rate. It is the actual annual rate of return, NOT taking into account the effect of compound interest. APY stands for Annual Percentage Yield. It is the actual annual rate of return, taking into account the effect of compound interest. Who uses what? APY is better to calculate your returns on investment while APR is more common in lending.
What Are They Different?APRFor example, a yield farming program offers an APR Once you see the APR, it is possible to immediately calculate how much profit will be earned at the end of the period. This profit comes from your staking or farming, so just join at the beginning to get the result for APR interest. FormularAPR = r x N Where: r: The interest rate of the year; N: Interest period (N = 1, means 1 year). APYAPY is another way of calculating the percentage of real profit you will receive.
If you have an APR Assuming you participate in farming pairs on Solana's Raydium application, I also combine Step Finance to know the APR FormularAPY = (1+r)^n - 1 In which: r: The interest rate of the period; n: Interest period (n=1 means 1 day). AwarenessAs such, today's projects often offer 2 ratios of APR and APY to show users what the rate of return is currently available. However, some projects that give daily, 7-day interest rings directly provide APY. This has two implications:
Today we see a lot of aggregator protocols already using this ability to increase profits, continuously reinvesting within the capacity of the original protocols. This is really good if the transaction costs are not significant. Hopefully, we can find those solutions in Layer 2. [link] [comments]

What the best way to earn a better return of my ETH... Staking, yield farming, or liquidity mining? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 11:08 AM PDT The truth about defi, is that it saved crypto. Unequivocally, the state of the market and the culture was an absolute mess at the crash of 2018. I recall certain developers rage quitting over the the toxicity of it. You even see the similar comments by Jackson Palmer. But so much has changed since 2017. Jackson Palmer is a cynic, and is wrong. Maybe he would have been right in 2017, but no longer. The personality disorder laden toxic community from prior, the 2 years of Bitmex continuously supressing and barting the market, is behind us. The human capital and optimisim that smart contract development and DeFI and NFT communities have brought have utterly saved this entire ecosystem. So we cannot let them kill crypto with this "Market Structure Investor Protection Bill" or the IRS 6050I provision that makes us all felons overnight for using DeFi. We cannot let them boomer us into oblivion and poverty, steal, regulate, and give our tech to the big banks. So I urge you to use our lobbying effort and being the process of weeding out anti-crypto people from congress. We must mass lobby and mass educate and introduce opposing Bills to fix this industry and protect it from these attacks. via advocacy groups like Fight For The Future @ fightfortheftr on twitter.

Posted: 30 Sep 2021 06:45 AM PDT EtherCanvas is a Dapp running on Polygon. It is a digital canvas made up of 7056 non-fungible tokens (tiles). Tile owners are able to create their own artwork and add their updated tile to the Canvas. All of the tiles are displayed next to each other, similar to /r/place. It's on Polygon so fees are very low which makes it easy to interact with. Please check it out and let me know what you think! Dapp: https://ethercanvas.io [link] [comments]

How has ethereum and having tokens changed your relationship with money? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 06:20 PM PDT For me I just feel empowered because of the amount of flexibility with what Ethereum allows but I still want to maintain a sound mindset with what tokenomics would be realistic rather than say a rebase token that destroys it's value within a week. (Yes I've been there and have had some dark times.) [link] [comments]
