Chaintip Twitter has been refactored and is working again!

    Posted: 12 Sep 2021 08:32 AM PDT

Yes, we all know Twitter isn't amazing. But some people hang out there and Chaintip is a good way to reach them :)

The Twitter bot has been down a while as I needed to change the way that it worked so that my node's wallet didn't bloat, grinding the system to a halt (killing the reddit bot - the more important one ;)). It took a bit of time and I didn't have much so, sorry about the downtime!

It should be working again now. Please try it out and let me know if you spot anything awry or any improvements that could be made.

Usage instructions here: https://www.chaintip.org/twitter (it works very similar to the reddit bot)

EDIT: just realised that it's chaintip's birthday here on reddit too. 4 years! must have registered the accounts on the same day

Kain_niaK here, I am looking for people to help with sBUSD/BCH liquidity. I created this stablecoin to allow small traders to arbitrage, but my liquidity is to low right now for it to be stable.

    Posted: 12 Sep 2021 07:22 PM PDT

A dex works quite differently from a normal exchange with limit orders.

On a dex when you provide liquidity you put two amounts in, and the first person to do so sets the ratio. So imagine if I put in 1000 sBUSD and 1 BCH. The ration is now 1000 to 1.

Now when somebody sells 0.1 BCH the system will make it so that I will always end up with 1000 x 1 = 1000

    So that could also be 500 x 2 or 250 x 4.

This means that on buys and sell the price starts moving towards infinity.

After all if there was only 0.00001 BCH left in the pool to end up with 1000 on the other side would require 100,000,000. Cause 100,000,000 times 0.00001 = 1000.

What this all means is that on a dex if there is low liquidity even a very small swap will change the price 25%.

So how do you provide liquidity for sBUSD? Well it starts with going to the telegram group and from there sending me a DM.

We can then swap anything over for sBUSD, but whatever you give me ends up 80% as FlexUSD in a cold wallet, 17% as BUSD on a trezor and 3% as BUSD on a hot wallet.

This is the backing for sBUSD. It's fully backed so at any time you can redeem 10 sBUSD back to BUSD. (or any other stablecoin)

After I have the capital, Imint the sBUSD which you then get on smartBCH.

Now now you need the equivalent of BCH as well. So if you swap 5000 BUSD with me for sBUSD, to provide liquidity you need 7.87 BCH as well.

We then balance out the pool by selling BCH or buying BCH (I usually do this myself and lose some money on it) till the price matches the market price of BCH. Then you put your liquidity in.

    Liquidity providers get

    1) Fees from the swaps

    2) The backing of their sBUSD generates interests cause 80% is in flexUSD. You get these when you swap back to BUSD.

    3) If the price of BCH goes down, you will end up with more BCH in the pool. So it's beneficial to be a LP when BCH price goes down. But if the BCH price goes up you miss out on gains.

This is a project to serve the community, there is hardly any person gain (except I take 10% of the interest generated for myself)

When flexUSD on smartBCH is here we won't really need sBUSD anymore.

But that might take a while.

So if you think the price of BCH is going to go down, then lock some up in the liquidity pool.

If you have any shitcoins, sell em for BUSD and swap some BUSD over to smartBCH.

Thanks. When my liquidity is high enough we can have some serious arbitrage going on.

    Question about block size debate

    Posted: 12 Sep 2021 02:12 PM PDT

Question is why block size should be a fixed number?

I know the argument of btc is to keep the blocks small to ensure that the blockchain can be shared with a lot of nodes to ensure decentralisation. This however handicaps the capability for transactions, and as we know has driven up fees. Bch solves this with bigger blocks which (allegedly, potentially could) hurt decentralisation cause storage capacity is limited on pcs.

Why not let miners compete to make the smallest possible block with all the transactions in the time frame? This ensures all transactions get processed, and keeps the blocks as low as possible but as big as needed?

The Ruby Play Network — A Decentralized Blockchain Loyalty Platform

    Posted: 13 Sep 2021 01:15 AM PDT

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the Ruby Play Network. Our team has been working hard creating the next generation of loyalty and retention rewards for consumers. The RUBY token, built on the Binance Smart Chain architecture, gives customers ownership and control over the rewards they earn.

RUBYs have an immediate, tangible utility for customers in a way that other reward points cannot. Customers know the value of RUBYs, and can save, use, or spend the tokens for various goods, services, discounts and offers, exclusive to the network.

In conjunction with the launch of the network, we are opening a private capital raise to support our next stage of growth. We have engaged Snowball Effect, a New Zealand-based private equity marketplace, to facilitate the offer. You can learn about our raise here:

    https://www.snowballeffect.co.nz/offers/preview/ruby-play-network-algxq

Beyond being a platform to reward users, the Ruby Play Network is also accepting partners to join us and provide RUBY rewards to their customers. Partners on the network can implicitly trust these rewards, as the blockchain provides full transparency, resulting in a much stronger and more enduring customer relationship. If you're interested in learning more about our partner program you can contact us at: [info@rubyplaynetwork.com](mailto:info@rubyplaynetwork.com)

Launched in 2018, the Ruby Play Network provides our developers with a fast and secure decentralized loyalty platform that can be plugged into any organization, allowing our partners to reward and retain their customers with RUBYs. Customers hold the RUBY in their own secure wallet and have many choices on how to use their rewards.

Created by the experienced team at Gaming Rewards Group Limited out of Christchurch, New Zealand. The Ruby Play Platform provides a new kind of reward that can be earned and grow in value with the expanding network.
