    gaze.cash - massive increase in uploads and views

    Gaze.cash is a video monetization platform. Viewers pay content creators in BCH for every view.

    Over the last week I did a big outreach to NSFW content creators and that has created momentum for gaze.cash, Since the onlyfans announcement interest in gaze.cash went up even more, New videos are being uploaded by the hour (including A LOT of videos from creators that I did not reach out to myself!!). The amount of paying viewers has also increased significantly.

    Since the last time I updated I also added these features to gaze.cash.

    - The ability to specify your own price for videos. This is something I originally did not want to do but since it was heavily requested by content creators I added it. I also allowed it to be specified in dollars (so the price in satoshi for a video will vary as the price of BCH fluctuates.

    - The ability to filter out all non-NSFW videos.

    - The dollar value of your balance is now also displayed on the web wallet.

    Miners/ pools voluntarily signal hashpower. There is no way to prove which block came from which pool.

    As a result these charts should always be taken with a big grain of salt:

    • A single miner/pool can hide their hashpower majority by refusing to signal (the "unknown miner")

    • A single miner/pool can pretend to be multiple pools (the "fake minority miner")

    • Miners/pools can pretend to be other miners/pools, in order to FUD the coin or hurt the other miner's business by scaring hashpower away from the other miner/pool (the "false flag majority")

    Past that, with a minority chain like BCH, a hostile entity can easily move their hashpower onto a pool in order to create FUD (a different sort of "false flag majority")

    Nobody wants to see Bitcoin mined by a 51% miner. However, due to the variables listed above, it's difficult to draw conclusions about transient hashpower majorities.

    In my opinion, any miner that's signalling that it has a majority is almost surely not an attacker, since it's so trivial to hide your majority, if you actually have evil intent.
