Posted: 15 Jul 2021 08:40 AM PDT Anyone who has a list of GPUs with LHR and the ones that don't have LHR (from both Nvidia and AMD). Also do you think the new Intel Iris Xe GPU will have a LHR? [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2021 04:53 AM PDT Hello I'm pretty new to mining I have a 2070s and a 3080 in my computer using it to mine and I'm trying to undervolt them. Right now I can get my 3080 to 86mh/s at 244w and the 2070 to 36 mh/s at 133w is this decent? [link] [comments]

Thermal Pad Replacement expectations 3090 vs. 3080? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 07:41 AM PDT I heard 3090's run hotter than the 3080 and I wanted to see if this is what other people are seeing too? I repadded my 3080 and went from 102 to 84 in VRAM temps but my 3090 went from 106 to around 96. [link] [comments]
Still figuring out pcie lanes. Posted: 15 Jul 2021 07:02 AM PDT Probably a noob question, do 3000 series GPUs needs pcie 3.0 to mine. Coz I have read that these GPUs doesn't support 2.0 slots, and what max pcie lanes in a cpu means, and how age old cpu can handle 6 3000 series GPU even when they max out pcie lanes in cpu! Also please suggest me a motherboard and processor combo for 43070,13060,1*3080 [link] [comments]

Probably a dumb question: Where do you all get your GPUs from? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 12:14 AM PDT So, I've been mining ETH for a little while (maybe a month now) on my gaming PC when I'm not using it. I have a single 2080 ti. And I got to thinking: "What if I got a legit GPU mining rig?" So, that took me on about a 2 day deep dive into specs, optimization and the general 'how to' guides on building a rig. I am pretty handy, and I have the cash to buy what I want, but the biggest issue is: How do I find GPUs other than just 'keep trying the online store every day'? Ideally, I'd grab up a 19-slot motherboard, slap together 19 RTX 3060s and just let that heat up my house all winter (I live up north, so it gets real cold, real quick). If there's some kind of trick I'm missing besides "Go hang out at microcenter every day", then please let me know. I've also looked into purchasing a bitmain Antminer S19Pro when it launches, but i don't know if it's really going to be worth it. Looks like it, but I don't understand enough about mining yet. Thanks for your time. [link] [comments]

Atx + 2 Server Power supplies? Posted: 14 Jul 2021 09:48 PM PDT Hey guys I got a question - may be easy for some but I am not sure (dont wanna buy something before I know how to). I am running 3x Vega 56 and 2 RX 5700xt on 1 ATX power supply + 1 serverpower supply. I linked them with the little molex to 4 pin cable on the breakoutboard. I got 12 GPU PCIe 1x lanes on the MB and would like to add more cards to this rig. I dont wanna "overpower" the server power supply and the ATX hence why I would like to add another server power supply. My question how would I link another server power supply into this? Do I need a PCIe 6 pin to the little 4pin cable to the 2nd breakout board? Is there even such a cable? Or is it "smarter to just ditch the atx supply and run 2 server psus? If any1 got something set up like that please enlight me, any links to videos or explanations appreciated :) Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
QUESTION: Best way to calculate CFM needed for a grow tent Posted: 14 Jul 2021 09:22 PM PDT I'm looking to move my mining rig into a grow tent soon because I just can't handle my office being at at 90+ degrees during the day. Currently I'm running 4 3070s that I'm looking to add a few more to soon, but the temperature is the main thing holding me back. I've been looking into grow tents to start venting out some of the hot air out of my house, my I'm not really sure where to start. Right now, I'm looking to get a 36" x 20" x 62" grow tent that I can stack my rigs in, but I'm not sure what to do in terms of inline fans. The tent I'm looking at accommodates both 4" fans and 6" fans with 205 and 402 CFM respectively. Right now my rig is running at roughly 589.4 Watts and the temperature of this room ranges anywhere from 82-95 degrees during the hottest parts of the day. Do I need both an intake and exhaust fan for the best results? What's the best way of going about figuring out exactly what I need for this tent? I feel that my rig is causing my house AC to run much more than it did in the past so obviously the main goal is to get some of this hot air outside rather than dumping it into the house. Posted: 14 Jul 2021 08:53 PM PDT I'm trying to build my first mining rig and I was wondering if a pre-owned CPU would still be a good idea for a mining rig. I'm planning on putting into an ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ board and have 4 3070 GPUs with a 1200 W Be Quiet Platinum PSU. Would appreciate any input! [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jul 2021 01:57 PM PDT So i've been using T-Rex miner and 2miners Eth pool... I have 1 x 3090 FE, and 5 x 3080 FE cards... all pulling about 615 MH/s at the client side. However, my range on the pool side fluctuates between the mid 500-700+ MH/s range... with a peak of around 750 MH/s. My average is still typically above 600+ MH/s. Pretty good, right? So, my cards are split between two rigs right now (i'm working on consolidating), and one of them occasionally crashes (running Windows 10 Pro). Not a big deal, I just reset everything and fire it back off and it's good for a few days. The biggest downside is if it crashes while i'm sleeping I could lose several hours of mine time. So, I really want to get this where i'm not having this issue... i'm sure it is something that Windows is doing in the back ground that then 'trips' something related to one of the cards... I have the dreaded "debug" message in the Event Viewer... so, before I go into massively tweaking windows (which can be quite the chore), I thought I would give one of the Linux distributions a go. 2Miners suggests RaveOS. I've downloaded it, and check it out... it does seem to be much more stable... the hash rate on the client side, is as solid as a rock.... very little movement at all. However, for the 4 cards on this rig my hash rate was slightly lower... 397 MH/s versus 425 MH/s (Windows). I figure that is just due to needing minor tweaking, and the way the T-Rex miner is reporting on RaveOS vs Windows. But then I noticed my hash rate on the pool side... very, very disappointing... 4 cards on RaveOS (1x3090, 3x3080) had a hash rate of barely over 200 MH/s... while the window's rig (2x3080) had its normal hash rate which on Pool ranges from 160-230 MH/s... with an average just UNDER 200 MH/s... and this is letting everything run for nearly an hour... enough that I know something's not right. I rebooted the RaveOS rig back into Windows 10... set it back up, and my hash rate on Pool went right back up. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal? For the different, i'll continue to use Windows as it's T-Rex miner is far superior to using it on RaveOS in terms of profitability. p.s. yes, I've pulled back my settings on my cards just a bit to see if that helps (highest VRAM temp is around 90 degrees C... highest GPU temp around 51 degrees C.)
