GPU Mining Built my first mining rig! |
- Built my first mining rig!
- First rig almost complete 326mh.
- Just came across another 1070ti card and added to my kid's Gaming PC. Created a routine that mines on both cards when he's not playing, and only on the second one and he has any games open. Works like a charm.
- My first rig for outdoor / garage use, with pollen filter, intake & exhaust to outside, per slot fan control according to GPU case temp.
- RTX3080 hashrate subtle drop from 100 to 97MH/s
- Ghetto Mining Rig
- Phoenixminer : what does the number in the brackets mean beside hashrate
- Started as a gaming rig and son of a bitch now I can’t hear myself think.

RTX3080 hashrate subtle drop from 100 to 97MH/s Posted: 02 Jun 2021 03:06 AM PDT I have a single RTX 3080 SFF rig mostly used for gaming + compute tools for work, I also leave the GPU to mine ETH overnight while I sleep. I originally configured my GPU could do 100MH/s consistently, however I noticed that the card lately does only 96-97MH/s. I don't see any changes in temps via HWInfo and there's no throttling due to temperatures. Any idea if there's a Windows update or even a Geforce driver update that subtly impacts performance? The card is a Zotac RTX 3080 Holo, repasted with Kryonaut and Gelid GP Extreme thermal pads, deshrouded with two Scythe Gentle Typhoons so it runs at similar temps to the stock fans without the noise. Phoenixminer : what does the number in the brackets mean beside hashrate Posted: 02 Jun 2021 06:02 AM PDT Beside the hashrate I understand that the number is the amount of shares found but I'm getting numbers like : (1021/123). What does the other number mean ? Are those invalid shares ??? [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Jun 2021 05:23 AM PDT Some context: Few months ago I repadded my 3080FE with thermal alright. Though the memory junction drop wasn't so great, it was better than having 106C. The thermal alright pads dropped my temps from 106C to 90C and even sometimes 88C but this was during the cold weather. Now that summer has come, my junction temp started to increase to 102C and then I started getting concerned. I already knew that my repad job wasn't great to start of with and I decided to look at some other repads. I saw some videos with people getting 80C memory junction on their 3080FE! So in hopes of that, I decided to buy some gelid pads so I could at least get 96C during the summer. But I was VERY WRONG. I spent a total of £45 buying gelid ultimate 2.0mm, 1.5mm. Then bought gelid extreme 2.0, 1.5mm Neither of these helped my memory junction. Instead, they shot up to 106C just like stock Nvidia pads. I have now reopened my 3080 FE about 6 times now. I think I have given up and I'll probably stop mining or will just sell the GPU to someone else at this point. My experience was atrocious. [link] [comments]

What should I mine with a 980ti? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 09:43 PM PDT Found an old 980ti i used for loop a few years ago and decided to try sticking it into my hiveos 1080 rig but its absolutely atrocious for ETH for some reason, is there any profitable coin its good at? on a side note i think my ETHlargement pill is trying to work on the 980 as I had to disable it to get the thing to stop rebooting, is there a way to disable it on seperate GPU's? Pinout / Schematic of AcBel FS011 needed Posted: 02 Jun 2021 02:23 AM PDT Hi Does anybody have a pinout / Schematic of the AcBel FS011 power supply (picture)? I know from the HP DPS series that they have a lot of useful debug outputs like Current measurement, Error out, 12V on. etc. Now the AcBel also has a lot of connectors on the back but i hardly even found a pinout to turn it on. Also, their Website (acbeldotcom) 404s out, so I don't know, are they even still in business? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jun 2021 02:23 AM PDT Hi I got a ekwb waterblock and active backplate for a 3090 Palin. Dual 360 radiators My best cause scenario I get 82 degrees Celsius GPU memory mining and if I run the fans at half speed it reaches 92+. I have heard that people get down in the 70 degrees mining with this card and active backplate. Anyone here with the same config that has the same or less temperatures? Wondering if I did something wrong when mounting it. [link] [comments]

How to tell if a new 3060 will work with the Dev driver? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:33 PM PDT hey guys i got a 3060 zotac twin edge unopened on the 20th. I've heard they new 3060's cant use the dev driver anyone know how I would tell if mine can? Im trying to not open it so i can just trade/sell for a gpu than can both mine and game. Should I use the mining power draw or max power draw of a card when planning PSU reqs? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:05 PM PDT I'm newish to mining, and err heavily on the safe side. I have a 3060 Ti and 6700 XT on my PC with a 750 W PSU. I avoided sata adapters and miles, and did the math to make sure I wasn't over drawing one PSU cable by daisy chaining the cards etc. I went with separate cables etc etc. I'm looking at adding another 3060 Ti to my system, but not sure if it'd be better to use a second PSU or not. The total draw at-the-wall when mining is ~340. That's slightly under half of my PSU max. Another 3060 Ti would add 110W when mining, so technically that's safe still. But it could theoretically draw up to 230-Ish if not underclocked and given a heavy load for some reason. So for mining purposes, which power draw do you consider? I'm trying to stay under 75% max load on my PSU. [link] [comments]

6800xt stale shares regardless of OCs? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:01 PM PDT Just wondering, for some reason my 6800XTs always have stale shares even if I barely have an oc on it. For example at pretty much stock settings, one of them is 3891/23 while both of my 3070s are over 4000/0. Could it be Phoenixminer or is it even something I should worry about? edit - INVALID shares not stale [link] [comments]

What is the best GPU mining OC dor 3080/3090? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:36 PM PDT Just curious what everyone has for their rigs. I'm trying to see how far I can push it. Thanks everyone. [link] [comments]
After eth 2.0 phase 2 happens, do you think gpu prices will drop? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:28 PM PDT I want to get into mining, but I believe quite a few people will stop mining and flood to sell cards when phase 2 happens. This is where I want to come in and buy cards at hopefully a reduced price. Im interested in not only making money but every aspect is cool to me. What are your thoughts on this? How to find my MH/s (Using Gamerhash) Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:51 PM PDT I just started mining so I'm extremely new to this and I'm quite confused. I'm trying to tweak my GPU in Afterburner to get the best mining performance but I cannot find my mh/s on the program I'm using which is GamerHash. Is there something I'm missing that I need to download or is the program I'm using simply not showing the mh/s? I see a lot of people using some kind of cmd script in order to find out their mh/s but even after searching a lot i cannot find anything about it lol.. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jun 2021 02:45 PM PDT Hi all, I'm looking for a motherboard that can support 9 GPU's. Would be thankful for any suggestions and advice. Thank you. This is my first rig build btw, very excited :) [link] [comments] |
