Dark time to be a crypto investor

    Posted: 22 Jun 2021 06:10 AM PDT

It is a hard time for all crypto investors right now. Literally everything is red, esp after it has been a hard couple weeks on the crypto markers. Many of us are holding bags, many of us have lost money that we couldn't afford to lose, some of us might not be able to pay rent or mortgages or possibly even buy food...

Most of us invested in crypto to 'get rich' or at least escape poverty... weather we like to admit it or not we invest because we want a better life for ourselves, our family, our children etc

Sure people who are on their high horse will say don't spend money you cant lose, dont over leverage, dont buy crypto, dont xyz - But that doesn't help in this moment and it isnt fair to be kicked when you're down.

There have been many crashes in crypto and probably many more to come. I'm not here to tell you to Hold or buy the dip or even sell. I'm just here to tell you that you're not alone, tomorrow is another day.

So where ever you are around the world, whatever you do just know others are all hurting just like you right now and we will be better investors for this experience and for those that are HODLing like me just know we will see better days again and not to give up on chasing a better financial future for yourself.

    Volatility trading for Bitcoin

    Posted: 23 Jun 2021 12:58 AM PDT

Hi! I want to try trading BTC volatility, but options seems too difficult for me now. Can anyone provide me with more simple ways of hedging volatility or directionally trade it without options? Thank you!

Will banks soon be plotting against the crypto market ?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2021 01:03 PM PDT

Banks have always had a grip over our finances and assets. They've always had the power and I don't think they're gonna sit around watching that power slip away from them. Financial crypto companies have already started to expose the corrupt banking systems and how much profit they make compared to how little percentages they give us back in return. You got companies like Maze Protocol that are basically taking the job of banks but in a much more transparent and fast paced DeFi platform. Not to mention they take zero interest... yeah.... It's companies like these that excite me about what's next in the crypto market but at the same time make me worry about bank and government interference. The question isn't IF will banks start plotting, its when and how...

Short Survival Guide - No BS

    Posted: 22 Jun 2021 07:54 PM PDT

My advice to get through the highs and lows.

    Do this.

    50% portfolio in top 20.

    30% top 100.

    10% top 250.

10% in a project outside the top 250 that you genuinely care about.

That last one is the most important. Immerse yourself in that community and forget about rest. Dca in only what you can afford over time and dca out.

I focus all my community energy into SafePokeman. Why? Because its fun and keeps me from checking my main portfolio.

I like pokemon. I like auctions. I like games. I like community led projects and I can chat to the devs and contrubute easily. Should you buy that? Probably not. But find something that WILL DISTRACT YOU!

All this = never looking at my btc, eth and other main holdings price.

    This is the way.

Tldr - Find an small project you like and get involved with that community. Contribute, make friends and focus on that until the storm passes.

[Binance Order Issue] Stop Limit Buy order never triggered, has this issue occurred to others?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2021 07:27 PM PDT

    Hi folks,

Hoping I can get some information here that I couldn't get out of the support tech.

I placed a Stop Limit BUY Order this morning about 06:05 (June 22) on the BTC/USDT pair with a $33,300 trigger and $33,300 limit price.

At 20:42 (June 22) we crossed the $33,300 level and the stop never triggered.

I don't mean a limit-order was created then not fulfilled, I mean the stop never even triggered an order at all. This is what tech support could not understand, they just kept saying the market could move too fast to take my order. Which I understand completely as I do this for a living, lol.

However I've never seen a trigger not activate on an order before on Binance.

Here is a link to the order, still open. It could still be triggered right now as at the moment we're at ~$33.8k but nothing.

This is on basically my 'play' account to keep me from over trading on my main so I don't care about the actual execution or the order itself, but I am concerned about it happening to large orders though if I ever use that function.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
