- Whitepaper, section 7. Reclaiming disk space means two things. 1) Bitcoin scales onchain = invalidates BTC. 2) Bitcoin doesn't need to store anything unnecessary on its distributed database, because of file compression = invalidates BSV. Possibly one of the major reasons why Bitcoin is Bitcoin Cash.

BCH Withdrawal Glitch on Blockchain.com Posted: 14 Jun 2021 10:15 PM PDT On June 8th i went on the blockchain.com wallet app on my phone and proceeded to send 1 BCH to my binance bch wallet address. After sending it i noticed that an additional 7.5k (12.90469662 BCH) was missing from my wallet. I thought it may have been an error updating my balance or something so i proceeded to send another 0.01 BCH to my binance bch wallet for the second time. This time i noticed that an additional 5.2k(9.02070784 BCH) was missing from my wallet. After about 2 hours i got the 1.01 BCH i sent to my binance wallet. The first transaction is https://www.blockchain.com/bch/tx/c80614d685a88d391f1352373367fb098854e6aa922afba48a6e08462990e07b The second transaction is https://www.blockchain.com/bch/tx/aa909d8b430c0aa4dc39c5a0529c8b24f5507d8806eefd3bbd42f49b2c1b2609 If you look at those 2 transactions you can see that along with my 1 BCH and 0.01 BCH that was sent to my binance wallet(qz0yv69s8fjng56slndqtl4jtsm5cfvn7ce26swxaz) it also sent the BCH that im missing from my wallet to another bch address(qqj9svnk2vp8al9xfz4kez58y0slgyx3uyvgp8s77r). At this point im still missing around 21.9 BCH and the blockchain.com support team has not replied to me in over 3 days. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Is there anything I can do to get my money back? [link] [comments]

I wonder what's the environmental impact of traditional financial have Posted: 14 Jun 2021 11:31 PM PDT All this new talk about crypto and especially BTC have on the environment make me questioning about the impact of "traditional" financial. There computers and ATM, buildings, flights, cars Inc stuff driving to work, money printing and talking shit about crypto in tv lol I believe that crypto will do to renewal energy what porn did to the AV streaming on the internet, sorry for the analogy but it's true. Crypto money by the people for the people. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jun 2021 06:51 AM PDT Whether shopkeepers or industry needing to minimise fluctuation exposure in order to pay suppliers & employees; whether workers needing to ensure they can cover their rent & basic living expenses or speculators wanting to reduce their risk, a range of Anhedge hedge contracts could potentially serve all their needs. Maybe the pay run is due in five days, a supplier needs paying in 6 weeks, or a crypto speculator wants out of a potential bear market for 6 months? For as long as the USD remains fairly stable relative to expenses, hedgers could fix to USD value. But also, even if the dollar doomsayers are right and that starts to go hyper-inflationary, BCH hedgers could simply switch to something else such as gold - all without needing to sell BCH, let alone needing to sell crypto back into the centralised uinverse! This is all in theory of course. First, we'd need Anyhedge to be built into more wallets and BCH apps than it is. We'd need more than the 24-hr contracts currently offered at Detoken1. We'd need large liquidity such that there is always a market with people prepared to take the other side of the bet at a very low premium (i.e. to go long BCH for the contract duration). Also, with so much at stake, I suspect we would also need multiple oracles with disincentives from manipulation (such as Bitcoin Hivemind). I'd like an idea of how realistic this is? Because if it is reasonably attainable, as exciting as SmartBCH may be in bringing EVM-complexity smart contracts to BCH, doesn't the fact that Anyhedge works on the BCH main chain and could therefore be more easily available to all make it a potential killer-app to on-board people for whom the fluctuation risk is a red line? Compare this with BTC where because affordable on-chain transactions can't be counted on, you first need another layer; then you need to keep building more technologies before the second layer has a hope of getting anywhere near as reliable as the first. Even then, because it's so complex and because one channel-per-person is not practicable, you need third party solutions. Then the means by which the third party solution 'solves' the fluctuation exposure problem is to use USDT. But then because you can't have a whole country's economy dependent on one vendor (particularly a US-based one) and simply because USDT, the government needs to step in as a guarantor of exchange so that shopkeepers can be confident that accepting BTC (or whatever custodial credit they receive denominated in BTC) won't leave them short. BCH + Anyhedge would be so much simpler and all controlled by means of our own private keys! Thoughts? 1 I am not by any means intending to be dismissive of Detoken, by the way. As a proof of concept and even for limited use, to have that interface to simply click 'hedge' and have the contract put in place is fantastic! [link] [comments]
Blockchain.com wallet no longer showing transactions on Imported Addresses Posted: 14 Jun 2021 10:57 PM PDT Blockchain.com wallet is no longer showing transactions that occur on imported addresses even though the total balance shows the balance on the imported addresses. This seems to only affect bitcoin and not other coins. Is this intentional? anyone here from blockchain.com to address this issue? [link] [comments]
