- I'm hoping that's a typo...
- What's the Best GPU for mining but NOT mining ETH? Looking to mine Long-Term as Eth POS, and stuff. MY elec is fairly cheap
- Extremely new to mining! Is this setup OK?
- Bought PCIe 1x to 16x riser....missing 1x
- Evga xc3 3080 mem temp longevity
- Weird GPU Behavior, RTX 3080
- Best reason to go Solar - 2 month bill - 2 PCs 3 GPUs
- What is causing the reported hashrate and current hashrate to be so different? The current hashrate is consistently lower than the reported. Il'm using ethermine.org. Thanks
- It’s a start
- Can someone help me with bios mod/oc rx570
- My pass me down rig start... 3060 12gbs. Still cheapier then CMP 30hx and more hash than 40hx.

Bought PCIe 1x to 16x riser....missing 1x Posted: 04 May 2021 08:33 AM PDT Well, bought a riser like the title says....but it is missing the 1x part. I contacted amazon and they have refunded me without needing to return the riser...but what do I do now without the 1x part? Can't find a replacement on amazon and the same 1x to 16x kit is now not available. [link] [comments]
Evga xc3 3080 mem temp longevity Posted: 04 May 2021 07:51 AM PDT I can run mem temp 88c @ 230w getting 94mh or mem temp at 92c @ 240w getting 99mh. Which would be better? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 May 2021 07:23 AM PDT So a while ago this started happening to my 3080. At my usual settings, +1000 mem, -250 core 80% power limit, instead of getting my usual 96-105 mh/s I was getting 50-60. I found that if I cranked the power limit it would do better. It seems to be sticking itself at around 0.725v at about 800ish MHZ. It almost looks like a mining limiter, but this is a 3080, has anyone seen anything like this. I've used DDU to remove all drivers, then I reinstalled the most recent Game ready driver, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled MSI afterburner. I'm using Trex miner. Edit: After rebooting it for the hundredth time it stopped this behavior, so now I'm back to normal. No clue what changed, I'll be watercooling this misbehaved child soon. [link] [comments]

Can someone help me with bios mod/oc rx570 Posted: 04 May 2021 02:45 AM PDT Basically title. I stopped playing video games, so i thought about going back to mining. The thing is i forgot how to properly mod bios and overclock/undervolt gpu, so i was wondering if someone could help me. [link] [comments]

3080 temperatures spiking to 85C when I went to game.....NEVER that hot when mining..... Posted: 03 May 2021 10:02 PM PDT So I have a full mining rig, but I also run an EVGA 3080 FTW3-Ultra in my gaming PC and use it to mine when I'm not gaming. I haven't gamed in a while so I disengaged MSI Afternburner and fired it up. After a few minutes of gaming I could hear the fans revving. They would spool up hard and fast for about 2 seconds and then down, rinse and repeate. So I minimized the game and reengaged MSI Afterburner to see what was going on. TEMP WAS 85*C!!!!! Even under full load mining I've never seen it go above 63*C. Additional Context: I think this 80 needs a BIOS update and new thermal pads because while it will get to 90 MH/s sometimes, it usually hugs 80'ish MH/s, the MHz isn't consistent, and the temps higher than it should be for that MH/s. I let it just run at that because the temps are normal and I don't want to push it to hard (ironically). Has anyone else run into this when transitioning from Mining to gaming, and if so, can you advise? [link] [comments]

RTX 3090 - thermal pad replacement - is it required? Posted: 03 May 2021 07:39 PM PDT Hello all, I am building a new rig with 2 x 3090 Founders and 1 x 3090 EVGA FTW3. Never built a rig with 3090s before. I know that the GDDR6X run hot. Does anyone know if replacing the thermal pad on these cards are absolutely necessary? Appreciate the help in advance! Gpus requiring pci 3.0 and higher Posted: 03 May 2021 05:00 PM PDT Is there a place to find a list with them? For mining, of course. I know 3060 is one of them but not sure about 10xx, 20xx and other 30xx. Thanks [link] [comments]
Options for additional PCIe cables? Posted: 03 May 2021 12:54 PM PDT Hello, all, I'm trying to figure out what options there are for additional PCIe cables for my mining setup. I am using a 1250 watt Thermaltake TR2 RX psu and an Asrock B450 Pro4 board with a Ryzen 3700x CPU. Currently, I have 2x3080s and 2x3070s running on this rig. I also have a 1080ti that's not currently being used (it was being used before but I managed to get another 3070 so I decommissioned the 1080ti while I figure out how to solve the cable issue) that I'd like to add in but the PSU only came with 4 PCIe cables. I contacted Thermaltake and they responded back saying that they don't sell individual parts, so there's no solution in sight there. I do have an extra CPU cable and am thinking about using a splitter off of that but I'm not sure who has tried that and what level of success you had. Some obvious questions that come to mind are:
Can someone point me in the right direction here? Thank you so much!! [link] [comments]
