GPU Mining Going to be a busy weekend! |
- Going to be a busy weekend!
- I put together this rig in Feb 2021, I had people tell me on the CryptoCurency sub (when I posted it initially) that it was not worth it..
- New baby arrived, excited to add it to actual rig
- All the graphics cards register and work individually. But I can only use 4 of them on the motherboard at one time. As soon as I plug anything into the 5th PCIE slot, I just get a black screen and the monitor says no connection. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
- Trying to use --mt 4 with 8 1080 ti rig has issues with gpu 0 any advice?
- Signs of a failing gpu?
- Octominer - A warning
- Flaptor2 is up and running with two Asus nvidia 3070 OC ..... capacity for 8.... 121 mh/s ETH
- Can't get my 4 gpus to run together. The 3 1070s work fine but when I add the Vega 64 it says unable to enum Cuda GPUs. But the Vega 64 will run fine by itself on the same board. MSI z390 gaming plus mobo, i39100 cpu, 8gb ram and 900w psu. Any help is appreciated.

Is polaris one click timing patch safe? Posted: 06 May 2021 03:08 AM PDT Basically title. I want to flash my rx570 4gb, but im kinda scared to do it because i dont have any other gpu to recover bios if flash goes wrong. Before few years i moded 1 bios by myself and i when i turned on pc i only had black screen, so i had to find some1 to recover my bios. I dont have an apu too. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2021 06:31 AM PDT I mine for two months and recently a day ago i started to encounter problems while gpu mining. I didnt download any updates. My gpu started to reset due to driver drops. I use awesome miner for ether and nice hash for moner cpu mining. For gpu control i use radeon software. I have msi 6800xt trio and amd 5800 cpu. Could it be that nice hash and cpu mining messes up with gpu? [link] [comments]

2070 Super - defective card or silicone lottery? Posted: 06 May 2021 05:50 AM PDT I got an EVGA 2070 Super Black from RMA that seems to have a (low?) memory OC cap. Going higher than my current settings causes Excavator to restart with the message:
My current settings are core clock -50, memory clock +600, power limit 125W which gives me 40MH. If I push the memory clock to 650, the crashes start happening. I'm using NiceHash QuickMiner and their recommended setting is memory clock +800. Should I be worried that I can't hit it? Device 0 is a 3060 and device 1 is the 2070 Super. Both are plugged directly into the motherboard and use the 3060 beta drivers. The 3060 is stable and went 3 weeks without errors til I added the 2070S. Any ideas? Should I be worried that the card I got from RMA has bad memory? Or is this just a case of unlucky silicone lottery and I shouldn't worry? Is there any way to test the memory aside from mining? EDIT: Cards plugged into x16 slots [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2021 05:09 AM PDT Im trying to find a motherboard with at least 5 16x slots so i can mine eth with 5 3060s. Anyone got advice? [link] [comments]
3060ti hashrate drops after installing 3060 Posted: 06 May 2021 04:53 AM PDT Hey guys, I believe I've seen this answer before somewhere here but I can't find it. I have a 3060 ti to doing 62 MH everyday. I installed a 3060 and it was doing 26 mh, then I installed the dummy plug and it went upto 49 MH but the 3060 ti dropped to 49 as well. What's the fix, is it BIOS related? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 May 2021 05:23 PM PDT Just finished my first rig. I am running NHOS / Linux and it seems very stable. I used the guts from my old gaming PC, and even though the motherboard is from 2008, it had 5 PCIe slots, and I was able to install all the PCIE risers and not have to configure anything in BIOS for it to function. The board was specialized for overclocking so it even has power, reset buttons, and a joystick built onto it. Not much compared to having a bunch of 3000 series cards, but I am proud of it. ETH vs ETC mining RX580 opinion? Posted: 06 May 2021 02:59 AM PDT I have a couple of miners with RX580 8gb that I am mining ETH currently. I am thinking about selling them and buying 4gb ones to mine ETC. I know I will mine a little less but I will get 2 4gb for 1 8gb and I am afraid what is going to happen when EIP-1599 comes to place. Just to be clear electricity is of no importance. Does anyone know what is going to happen with ETC mining difficulty? [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 May 2021 01:45 AM PDT I currently own a baby rig doing ~120MH's. Was thinking of investing 10k and build me a proper rig, but with the news surging around ethereum mining profits next months I don't know if i should. Any opinions? [link] [comments]

How to mine with AMD GPUs on Ubuntu Posted: 06 May 2021 01:04 AM PDT I've been mining with Nvidia cards on hiveos before. I've built a new rig, and this one has to be on Ubuntu 20.04.2 for personal reasons. When I plug in my Nvidia gpu through the riser, it works and mines fine. But whenever I use a 6700xt (on the same slot/riser) it just doesn't work. I've installed opencl and amd-pro driver from AMD's website. This is my first time mining with an AMD gpu so please help, I feel like I'm just missing a crucial step everyone else knows. Note: When I use clinfo, I don't see the model of my gpu, that's probably not good. I'm using NBMiner btw. Also my mobo is b550 and CPU is 3900x [link] [comments]
